Took me a lot longer than it should have.. had to double check and double check in a couple places re the alkaline filter direction.. the label was put on upside down. Also, if you’re going to refer to coloured lines, please send those colours with the unit. I did run into this installing it and should have labeled them then. Done now, but a bit of a nuisance both time. Otherwise, unit is great!
Nice video, but a few ideas. The replacements weren't the same color so take your time checking which way the water flows before disconnecting. And the flushing at the end takes more time than the five minutes quoted, not to mention the initial slug of carbon that shoots out. All in all we've been very pleased with this unit and don't plan on going 18 months between filter changes next time.
PSA: ALWAYS test/run your system BEFORE putting it back under the sink. I have done this change out several times and I have always had at least one part not adjusted perfectly that I had very diligently screwed up on that will soak me when I first run the system.😂 It is much easier to clean up my kitchen floor than it was to dry the inside of the cupboard.

But this one doesn't mention about some of the circle things that go with the filters or which direction to put the filters in the canisters. I unfortunately followed the other video and turned the system on. I’m a bit pissed off that there was no mention of flushing. Also no mention of it on the included filter instructions. 😞😑

5:26 - on my filter, the Y-connector attached here doesn't appear to be a "push connect" - it came pre-installed and seems to be glued into the inline carbon filter - maybe just with caulking, I can't tell for sure. I cannot tell if I can remove that y-connector or not, and I don't want to break it. The new inline carbon filter I bought has the correct push-connect receiver, but I have to get this Y-fitting off the old one first. Can someone give me advice on this?

I'm changing all filters and the membrane. Pretty easy stuff. Thanks. When I take out the RO membrane, inside the housing looks to have some carbon and other stuff, basically not as clean as I expected. Is this a problem?

Hello. I just tried performing the first filter change on my RCC1UP-AK. This model includes an electronic valve, labeled "water valve" between the first and second filters. How am I supposed to flush the first three filters with this valve preventing flow of water?
Hello! I understand you're having trouble flushing the first three filters on your iSpring RCC1UP-AK due to the electronic valve. To flush the first three filters, you should follow these steps: Turn off the water supply to the system and unplug the power source to the UV light and booster pump. Locate the electronic valve, also known as the "water valve," between the first and second filters. You'll need to bypass this valve temporarily to allow water to flow through the first three filters. To do this, you can either: a) Disconnect the tubing from the "in" and "out" ports of the electronic valve and connect the tubes directly to each other using a straight tube connector (make sure it's compatible with the tubing size). b) Or, you can turn the electronic valve to the "open" position manually by referring to the manual. Once you've bypassed the electronic valve, turn on the water supply and flush the first three filters as per the manufacturer's recommendations. You should flush them for about 5 minutes, or until the water runs clear. After flushing, turn off the water supply and disconnect the tubing (if you used a straight tube connector). Reconnect the tubing to the electronic valve's "in" and "out" ports, and restore the valve to its original position if you had manually opened it. Turn on the water supply, plug in the power source to the UV light and booster pump, and check for any leaks.
Hi there. Please check your incoming water pressure to see if it's higher than 70 psi. If yes, you would need a pressure regulator model #APR70: www.123filter.com/ac/index.php?rt=product/product&product_id=386. If this doesn't fix the issue, please call us at 678-261-7611 (M-F, 8:30 - 5:30 EST) so we can discuss and troubleshoot in detail.
Hi there. Your system will be OK if you skip the pre-flush once or so, but doing it all the time may result in a shorter life of the membrane as losing carbon will get caught by membrane. If you have more questions, please contact us at 678-261-7611 (M-F, 8:30 - 5:30 EST). We are happy to help!
Hi dear customer! The FD15 uses a quick connect fitting. Could you please send us a picture of that part to support@123filter.com so that we can properly help you? Thanks!
Hi there! The final TDS level after filtration depends on the initial TDS of your tap water. This system has a TDS rejection rate of 95-99%, so it effectively lowers TDS levels significantly. If you have any concerns or questions about our products, please reach out to us at support@ispringfilter.com or 678-261-7611 (M-F 9:00-5:00 EST) for proper assistance. Thank you!
Hi there. As long as the tank is in a good condition, you do not need to change it. Just make sure that the pressure tank has the correct psi. In an empty tank, air pressure should be 7-10 psi. In a full/heavy tank, air pressure should be 30-40 psi. Please, refer to this video to check and adjust tank air pressure: ua-cam.com/video/a6Nc9wrnqAM/v-deo.html
You didn’t mention that old seals on the filters can get stuck in the bottom of the canisters…learned that the hard way. I had two stuck in the bottom.

The middle pre-filter on my iSpring 6 stage system has been leaking water for about a week or 2. I changed all 3 pre-filters today and the leak is still there. Do I need to change any of the o-rings or do you think it's a different problem? Thanks in adavance.

Hi there. If the membrane is brand new, there shouldn’t be any problem. You should test the water with a TDS meter to determine how well the membrane is working. If you see that the membrane is not properly working, please kindly contact us at support@123filter.com or at (678) 261-7611 M-F 8:30-5:30 EST to properly guide you. We are happy to help!
On my RCC7P-AK I found it impossible to flush the new filters before restarting the system. The tubing from the stage 3 filter exits the fitting (on the back of the unit) and immediately goes up behind the metal bracket and into another fitting. It's only about 3 inches long and impossible to bend enough to remove from the fitting without kinking. The tubing is just too stiff. The other end of the tubing is well behind the pump motor and inaccessible without completely disassembling the system. I don't even see a flow restrictor on my system. Is there some work-around for this?
I gave a thumbs up, BUT why didn't you tell me to put a bucket under the red tube that normally goes to the out when flushing the pre-filters? Water comes out of there during that 5 minutes 🤨. Kind of an important step because the back flow water comes out during that stage.
Hi there. Thanks for your comment! We will take it into account for future references. For any concerns or questions, contact us at support@123filter.com or at (678) 801-9308 M-F 8:30-5:30 EST// (678) 261-7611 M-F 8:30-5:30 EST
I’ve got all my water lines turned off, but when I try to remove my pre-filters, the water is aggressively leaking with no end in site. Any suggestions?
Hi there. The water could be coming from the tank somehow. Please close the valve on top of the tank. It's better to drain the tank when changing filters and then check the air pressure at this time. If you still have questions or issues, please give us a call at 678-261-7611 (M-F, 8:30 - 5:30 EST). We are happy to help!
I'd give this a C+, compared to the older video which would get a D- for effort. The main issues are use of terminology that refers to things not shown (this was the main problem with the older video) and inconsistency. "Saddle outlet" , "flow restrictor", "feed water valve" are often used but not shown. The descriptions don't always match the setup or videos. 1) "Insert the red tubing back to pre-filter water outlet..." This is actually white tubing on mine. 2) "Turn on the feed water valve." But the video shows a person turning on two valves. Only later does the narration describe turning on the tank valve. If I replace the RO filter only, I'm supposed to flush for 15 minutes. But if that plus a secondary filter, then only 5?
On stage 5 nothing comes off as shown so that I can replace the old filter with the new. I have pulled on the connections with all my might and NOTHING! Very frustrating.

@@iSpringWaterSystems what happens if it goes through the membrane, also I'm not even able to fill up a 32oz mason jar anymore how do I make the holding tank have more pressure
ℹ REQUEST ℹ Wish you guys added one last bit of info about duration of time it takes to fill the tank.. It's been about 20 minutes for me and I still hear the water running. It finished filling the tank about 10 mins ago and I'm not sure what it's doing now, just sounds like it still is running, but when I tried to open my faucet, it doesn't drop a ml of water... I should note that the stages were around 75-85% empty prior to finalizing my filter replacement.
Hi there. This is called the constant drain problem. Please refer to this video for troubleshooting: ua-cam.com/video/t4rPacnCKVo/v-deo.html. If there are still issues or questions after watching the video, please give us a call at 678-261-7611 (M-F, 8:30 - 5:30 EST). We are happy to help.
Hi Ivan. It really depends on your water quality and the amount of water you use daily. The poorer your water quality, the more frequently your filters need to be replaced. The general range should be every 6-12 months.
Hi there! Please refer to this diagram to know where the hoses are connected: www.ispringfilter.com/ac/resources/image/1a/18/4.jpg The red hose should be disconnected from the pre-filter water outlet during the pre-filter flush. You do not need to do anything with it. Then, insert the black hose into the pre-filter water outlet. After the pre-filter flush is done, reconnect the red hose to the pre-filter water outlet and the black hose to the flow restrictor. If you have any questions, please reach out to us at support@ispringfilter.com or 678-261-7611 (M-F 9:00-5:00 EST) for proper assistance. Thank you!

You guys seriously need to provide better instructions. My RCC7 system does NOT have "red tubing to the pre-filter water outlet", nor does it have a 90 degree elbow fitting on the side. This is extremely frustrating.
Hi there. Please, contact us at support@123filter.com or at (678) 801-9308 M-F 8:30-5:30 EST//(678) 261-7611 M-F 8:30-5:30 EST to properly guide you. We are happy to help!
I WAS liking it, until it said, after the instructions for rerouting the black line, "Make sure all the connections are secure...' WHERE do you plug in the loose red line that he disconnected?! If you wanted us to just switch the red and blacks, say so. I see in the comments about this issue that you refer to a graphic: the graphic shows how the system is set up in it's finished state. It does not show the flush rerouting. Also, for first-timers, as he blithely unwraps the prefilters, he places them in a new, EMPTY canister. When you are changing these filters, they are full of water. Which means, have a water catcher below, and mops handy.
Hi dear customer! Thanks for the feedback! While you are performing the pre-filter wash process, you don't have to connect the red tubing anywhere. When the process is done, you have to simply connect the red tubing back where it was (pre-filter outlet fitting) and connect the black tubing back to the flow restrictor. If you have any concerns or questions, please kindly contact us at support@123filter.com, at (678) 261-7611 M-F 8:30-5:30 EST or at (470) 560-0012 M-F 8:30-5:30 EST (Messaging only) We are happy to help!
Couldn’t get the red hose out without stretching it after removing retaining clip. Because you have to press the red collar in snd then pull the tube out. Something you fail to mention in the video. Lame!!!!!!!!! 😂
Hi there! Thank you for your feedback-it helps us improve our content and service. 2:24 u turn on intake red water and u didnt say where red piipe going now,, its idiotic it goes straight to the floor
Hi there. According to the graphic, the red tubing connects feed water adapter and system inlet.
The replacement 5th stage now has a different connection
Is the pressure tank the only location we need to turn off before replacing?
Hi there! You need to close both the feed water adapter and the tank valve to prevent any flood. After closing these valves, make sure to drain the system by opening the faucet. This will ensure a safe and clean filter replacement.
If you have any concerns or questions, please reach out to us at support@123filter.com or 678-261-7611 (M-F 9:00-5:00 EST) for proper assistance. Thank you!

To flush the first three filters, you should follow these steps:
Turn off the water supply to the system and unplug the power source to the UV light and booster pump.
Locate the electronic valve, also known as the "water valve," between the first and second filters.
You'll need to bypass this valve temporarily to allow water to flow through the first three filters. To do this, you can either:
a) Disconnect the tubing from the "in" and "out" ports of the electronic valve and connect the tubes directly to each other using a straight tube connector (make sure it's compatible with the tubing size).
b) Or, you can turn the electronic valve to the "open" position manually by referring to the manual.
Is it normal for a swishing noise from the 3 filter area after replacement? I see no leaks but it’s been making noise for 1/2 hour or so, so far
I didn't do the preflush. Is my system going to be ok
Hi there. Your system will be OK if you skip the pre-flush once or so, but doing it all the time may result in a shorter life of the membrane as losing carbon will get caught by membrane. If you have more questions, please contact us at 678-261-7611 (M-F, 8:30 - 5:30 EST). We are happy to help!

what's the TDS number after filtration of tap water?
Hi there! The final TDS level after filtration depends on the initial TDS of your tap water. This system has a TDS rejection rate of 95-99%, so it effectively lowers TDS levels significantly.

Do we need to change the tank after some time ?
Hi there. As long as the tank is in a good condition, you do not need to change it. Just make sure that the pressure tank has the correct psi. In an empty tank, air pressure should be 7-10 psi. In a full/heavy tank, air pressure should be 30-40 psi.
Please, refer to this video to check and adjust tank air pressure:

I forgot to pre flush the first 3 filters, I ended up dumping my holding tank and seems to taste ok. Is water still ok to drink?
Hi there. If the membrane is brand new, there shouldn’t be any problem. You should test the water with a TDS meter to determine how well the membrane is working.

Hi there. Please email the concern and a picture of your system setup to support @ ispringfilter.com. We will help to solve the issue.

Hmmm, I did it a year later and didn't have above problem, perhaps I did'n't do it correctly last years?
I’ve got all my water lines turned off, but when I try to remove my pre-filters, the water is aggressively leaking with no end in site. Any suggestions?
Hi there. The water could be coming from the tank somehow. Please close the valve on top of the tank. It's better to drain the tank when changing filters and then check the air pressure at this time. @@iSpringWaterSystems What should the pressure be for the tank when empty?
@@johnnyescondido7430 It should be 7-10 psi.

If i don't flush the pre filters will it still be ok?
Hi there. You need to perform the pre-filter flush with a new installation and every time you replace the pre filters to avoid carbon loose (IF ANY) going through the membrane.

@@iSpringWaterSystems what happens if it goes through the membrane, also I'm not even able to fill up a 32oz mason jar anymore how do I make the holding tank have more pressure
ℹ REQUEST ℹ
Wish you guys added one last bit of info about duration of time it takes to fill the tank..

Nice
Most of the filters say on them to replace every 6 months, but this video says they last up to one year, how often should I replace them ?
Hi Ivan. It really depends on your water quality and the amount of water you use daily. The poorer your water quality, the more frequently your filters need to be replaced. The general range should be every 6-12 months.
why is water coming out of the red hose you never stated what is to be done with the red hose
Hi there! Please refer to this diagram to know where the hoses are connected:
www.ispringfilter.com/ac/resources/image/1a/18/4.jpg
The red hose should be disconnected from the pre-filter water outlet during the pre-filter flush. You do not need to do anything with it. Then, insert the black hose into the pre-filter water outlet. After the pre-filter flush is done, reconnect the red hose to the pre-filter water outlet and the black hose to the flow restrictor.

What is a pre-filter wash?
Hi there, Thank you for your question! The pre-filter wash is a recommended step to flush out any loose carbon particles (If any) before regular use. This step helps prevent these particles from passing into the reverse osmosis membrane and post filters, ensuring optimal performance.
