Glad ours is installed on wall in basement for ease of access. Then a faucet is handy near family room downstairs, one upstairs at the sink and also goes to fridge and ice maker, too. RO ice cubes are so clear, a visual way to actually see purer water.
So happy you have uploaded this for us to review and change out when it is time. Thank You so much as your video's. They show and explain it very well. God Bless You.
Thanks for commenting! I have been using Danco 88693 Silicone Grease. The 80360 is labled as "waterproof grease". the both say to use them in the exact same applications. probably the same stuff.
I had installed my system using your previous video, and it worked out great. Was looking forward to this one, since my filter change is due in 2 months... so thank you! Clear instructions, and good angles and lighting again! I noticed there seemed to a lil leak at your cold water intake T connector, when you turned the intake off during flushing... or was I just imagining, lol?
You are welcome, and interesting. I did not notice it. You can see that to reach the valve, I had to turn my head away, so I didn't see it, and didn't catch it when I was editing. I'll have to check that out. Thanks!
Thanks so much for this tutorial!!! This is super helpful. Do you flush the filters for a specific amount of time, or just until the water looks clear?
To get them off, the best bet is the filter wrench that came with it, or possibly a large strap wrench. Once they are off, be sure to lubricate with a food grade silicone lube. That should help them come off next time.

Yes, getting it in and out of the cabinet can be cumbersome.

Glad you like them! Thanks for the great comments!
It's videos not video's.
Thanks for the video. To lubricant the o-rings I used Danco 80360. I'm not sure if it's vegetable based but I know it's safe for water facets etc

Do you turn off the valve when you flush the system down to a trickle the second and final time?
Nope. Leave the valve open.

I just flush the 3 big filters until it runs clear. You want to flush out the carbon before it gets to the RO filer.
@@TheFixitShed Awesome, thanks!
@@TheFixitShedwhy is that? I forgot to flush mine when replacing the prefilters-do I need to replace my RO filter now?
very helpful. thank you
Glad you liked it.
Our vertical filters are hard to unscrew - what do you recommend ?

What do you think of this one vs the ao brand from lows
I like the iSpring better. The ao smith filters are way more expensive.
Thanks for the reply im going to be getting the ispring
Don't you close the tank too?
You can. That saves you from having to flush the whole tank
