I'd like to add to what you said about the Pmatte. The Pmatte works well with Position data for static geometries but fails if your geometry moves, in that case, you'll need the PRef(Position Reference data)
Hey man! Love your work! Being a Sub for a couple of years. Constructive Feedback: I feel like it needs more distortion, still. If this was a real situation, an energy source like that would produce such an amount of heatwaves, that looking from a far with a long lens. With a character that's going away, into the heat. Would be a lot more distorted. With layers and layers of heat distortion along the path. Probably several more hours of work, that sometimes one cannot afford! Great job, Alfie! Keep up the good work, mate! And thank you for sharing your knowledge! Kudos from Buenos Aires
Thanks for the tips. Like you said there's always more to do but this challenge had a deadline and I was doing it around work and other commitments so this was as far as I got with it. I appreciate the feedback though :)
Could you do a detailed video on how to set up render layers from blender to output into different AOV passes into nuke. You have touched on this before but i can't find a really detailed breakdown anywhere and would love to see one and understand it better.
hahaha it's cool isn't it! Yes the way it darkens the background is actually pretty cool. It makes it look like you're seeing the whole thing through a really thick fog or something
Bro great work can you create A tutorial video of nuke . And all principals of composition 😬 please and I have one more question why your channel is so unrated 💀 how ? You deserve million subs
I watched the video all through , even though I don’t use nuke I still understood some,if not all of the compositing techniques thanks bro
Glad you liked it! 👍
Great stuff! Love how you break down what you did and why, it helps me understand what kind of things you can do to a shot!:)
Glad you liked it!
Thank you so much for this break down! Lots of great composition concepts in this!
No problem :)
Thank you!
was searching for a node like the fractal blur but didn't know what it was called.
No problem :)
You’re amazing, Alfie. Thank you
Haha thanks! No problem

Yes I'm aware. Blender doesn't have a pref pass but it can be made with a shader and a bit of fiddling
Bro's explanation made me learn nuke🔥
💪💪

Amazing work … it’s show your talent
Thanks for the video 👏
Thank you! 🙏
I just decided to transition from after effects to nuke and this video helped a lot! My next project will be comped in Nuke =)
Glad you liked it! Good luck :)

I'm going to do an updated workflow video soon and I'll make sure to cover that :)
In my oppinion if you let it be like 20:55 it would be loads better, I dont know why, it just looks better to me :D Great result nonetheless!!!

Faxxxx
Gorgeous!
Thanks!
why did you choose to do it directly on the plate and not separate then plus or screen it on? Personal Preference?
It achieves the same result. I like working with it as a mask and then grading as needed
is there anyway else to download the project files because patreon is not allowed in egypt
Not at the moment I'm afraid. Patreon is the only place I upload them
Thank you! This is realy nice Content.
Thanks!
Brilliant
Thanks!

Thanks! I have a whole playlist of nuke tutorials, including a couple specifically about CG compositing
@@AlfieVaughan thx brother
can you make some video more beginner friendly as there are hardly any video on youtube that do that
About what? This topic?
@@AlfieVaughan i believe the topic is really good, i just don’t understand the note structure. What notes do and when to use it.
@@Elysium.4D I believe he maid a video for After effect users coming to Nuke. I stand to be corrected tho
