More talent in 4+ minutes than in two hours of Grammy award show!
sadly true
Could not have said it better myself.
You're absolutely right
once upon the time in europe was Mozart, now in thw United state is Ellen
👍👍👍👋👋👋
When our youth can kill it in a Zeppelin cover, there’s truly hope for the future.
🤘🏻AMEN 🙏🏼🤘🏻 ❤️🔥
My thoughts exactly!
YES!!!!!
Yeah, and then Bieber came along
....so very true
We all love Ellen of course, but that drummer is amazing.
yoyoka - she is amazing. check out her channel!!!
I'm a drummer. Thjs kid is on point every step of the way
He's killin' it. They're all great but he's got Bonham's feet down perfectly.

So much love for Ellen but where's the love for Mateo? His work on that Les Paul was amazing.
Holy crap. These kids were born to play. Zero criticism. Perfection. ❤
You should check out Yoyoka drums skills at the age of five, she is killing it!
After being in the music business, both education and performance, for over 65 years, and still gigging, I applaud these youngsters!! Anyone who can trade 4/4 measures with 7/8 measures and then transition into a 12/8 shuffle is doing way more than I did at their age. Bravo!!
I think the drummer used a"polyrhythmic"technique on parts of the song . Fantastic
And that’s why drummer girl Yoyoka is in the list of the best 500 drummers all time.
its good to see talent and hard work to make music, unlike most artist now a days, using computers for their talent of none.
@@andyp9985 Your right. I played drums with several bands since I was ten yrs. Old. Stopped for about 15 yrs. and had to do it again. I enjoyed a lot of it. Loading up, setting up, tear down, load up. That's what got me when I became 60. I miss playing for good crowds. Not the other. I love to listen and see good bands. Peace, love and, rock n roll!
That drumming is outstanding.
Yes, it is...and I have seen them all for the past 50 years
@@JohnFree007 did you hear Ellen's new video today. It's awesome
@@Popwarner-x1w Yes, outstanding.
She's one of the world's best drummers, not even for her age.
Top 500 drummer in the world at age 12!!!
that little lady on the bass totally owns it !! , great little band !!
What a band!! 🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆
That's Ellen. It's her channel. She's awesome-dorbs!
the Electric Bass carries this song - young girl is on point to the tee ( JP Jones would luv this)
Yup. And she owns the channel too.
I think we all know the drums carry it. But all awesome musos. Apparently this was the first take after just meeting. Incredible!
Ellen and Yoyoka playing together can only result in good things.
They can compete with maybe the best rhythm section ever in rock music: John Paul Jones and John Bonham. No small feat!
I had no knowledge at all about Yoyoka, the first time I watched this video, so I had no idea she's a girl. When I discovered this I nearly fell out of my chair! She bangs those skins harder (and with better timing) than any boy her age I've ever seen! Her and Ellen are a rhythm section for the ages! Thank you.
@@scottrowe533 Go and check out her YT channel. You will be amazed!
@@scottrowe533 Are you going to be lost for days down this rabbit hole. Ian Paice (the Ian Paice, Deep Purple) is on record declaring she hits harder than he does!
@@scottrowe533 Yoyoka has been killing Zep covers since before age 10. The powers of the savage once-munchkin now warrior will only continue to grow. It's going to be quite a ride.
Zeppelin Rules !!!....... Robert,Jimmy,Bonzo, and John Paul are certainly flattered. Go kids.
Good God almighty! Real music played by real musicians. Makes me happy!!!
Go Yoyoka!!!
As a bassist, I've been watching Ellen for years, and The Ocean is one of my favorite songs to play, but John Bonham's drum patterns are very tricky to pull off, especially the nuanced timing. Yoyoka nailed it.
Right, these are not run of the mill songs they're covering.
I know this song back and front, bass, drums, guitar. This is unbelievable I cannot fathom how great the bass playing was. The drums were clean and tight and hit those triplets on the bass drum perfectly in the pocket. Guitar and vocals also incredible. I could not believe how perfect this performance was. 10/10 A+ bruh
you know that is not the real sound , no?

@@janbleeker at 2:48 you can hear a recorded bass track as Ellen is playing another part. None the less, it was great.
This is at once both one of the most amazing and most depressing things I've ever seen. The combined age of those kids doesn't come close to my age and I couldn't do any part of that with a lifetime of practice. Kids and parents should be incredibly proud. Amazing stuff young folk!
Just find an instrument and improvise~> Its Just hand placement and motor skills!! Just try one finger at a time till you get them all to work, like you want them!!
More you try to think the harder it is! So when you Improvise, you { listen to hear first thing, next you feel the music & last you think about it}..
That is improvising You just make it up as you go along!
If you make a mistake doing it!~? You may want to try to make that same mistake again because it was a cool part of what you just did!! Because it all fits in anyway!
Like with this~> OPEN NOTE, FRETTED NOTES, OPEN NOTE, FRETTED NOTES!! BACK AND FORTH!! ONE finger at a time!
With it, a whole different Galaxy Of Music, not many have traveled too!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Only two people that I know of & I am one of them!~
With it, it is impossible to hit the wrong note with that technique! And it is endless in what you can do with it! Music is like going to Outer Space~ It is endless in its place & space~
With a Bass Guitar you can use them all the way up and down the neck! ELLEN^^^ With a regular guitar the lower case strings you can do the same.. With the higher case strings you can go up to the 12th fretted.. To go higher on the neck, you need to jump up and down the strings on the higher case strings!! To OPEN NOTE, FRETTED NOTE.. It all
Drop~D key you have more of the in higher case to work with.. Key of E for your tunings, you go to the 12th fretted like I stated above^^ and beyond~
There is two types of Guitar players!~> One plays someone else's music by memorizing the sheet music~ The other is in Creation Mode all the time!! By just improvising with there play!
They play by Ear alone~ They don't look much at what they are doing when they place their fingers down to sound!`
I learn both ways And I found my Brain is more of being wired to improvise~ With my music~ I just love coming up with something new all the time on the fly~ Try it you will like it~
You just have to pay for a little higher end guitar that sounds great & {stays in tune}. Or it will suck for you!~ Like 800.00 dollar one that is new! You can get a used one too for less!
It takes "five years" for a guitar to be broken in when it is a new one.. So as you get better at it by playing everyday!! So will your guitar get better in sound every day!~ It is a win win deal!`
Boy, you ain't lying. I'm 54 and I just started playing guitar.
You're exactly right, I'm a little envious as well, and I'm 64 yrs old trying to get back into playing the guitar. At least no one can hear me play.
@@timothyhoffman3470 man, why you have to go right a whole essay? 😂
Never too late rapid......pick up an instrument or microphone and practice till you get better! DO IT!

She’s just having fun and getting her groove on! This was so fun to watch!
She's a true rocker.
Drummer is AWESOME

100%
From a 65 year old Led Zeppelin fan, you guys nailed it. The Bass player was awesome !!
She really are born talented. Shouldent be humanly possible to be this good only one and a half or so years since starting to learn play the bass. If she keeps it up and with her karisma i guess she could easily be better and reach longer then artists like sting
The bass is literally as tall as her. Crazy!
She’s incredible and her joy in playing is so infectious 🤩
I have been a Led Zeppelin Fanatic for at least 45 years and that was REALLY FANTASTIC !!!! BRAVO !!!!
Me too, I’m 76 and grew up with The Beatles & The Rolling Stones, then Zep came along and blew me away - saw them live at Knebworth UK and The Beatles in Cambridge around 1965. I’m a massive Nirvana fan too - I can’t believe it’s 29 years ago Kurt died 😢
I love Led Zep and could say all the former members would dig these kids playing their music.
Now this is talent 😊
About to hit 56. Listening to Zep for 43.
Freaking Awesome 👏 Love It 😊
Ellen never fails to put a smile on my face with how excited she gets, absolutely adore her!
You can clearly see the pure joy she has for all of it
Ellen RULEZZZ💜🌹🙏🔥🔥🔥🌈🎶🌻🎵🙏☮️
Ellen kills it again!!!
Major talent!
They are all very good, but the DRUMMER is killing it!
She has been drumming since she was 2 years old. Her family moved from Japan to the USA to help her drumming career.
It sure paid off in spades! I have been playing lead guitar for nearly 50 years. And I have always said that you can get by with average guitarist. But if you don't have a great drummer and singer, you are screwed!
Completely agreed.
It's a she? Wow
@@randyswanson6912 Yes, called Yoyoka. And she started drumming even before 2 yo: 18 months 😮
The bass player is killing it
Drummer was epic for sure, seems like a professional not some kid in a school of rock band. Ellen of course killed it, she seems so tiny compared to the others. I guess she is the youngest. So looking forward to many years of watching her develop into a monster bassist.
They are all “professional” UA-camrs… Yoyoka hit it big on UA-cam in 2018, has been on the Ellen show twice and has been featured in quite a few advertisements for the likes on Nike (and others).
Yes, Ellen is the youngest, but Yoyoka is only 12. I think the singer, Eva, is 17, and plays several instruments. Mateo, the guitarist, doesn’t share much, but I’m pretty certain he is a teen, younger than Eva.
Yup, drummer Yoyoka is just 12 but she's good enough to play with any band or sit in on any studio session right now. She's amazing!
What a joy to watch these extremely talented young rock stars. Cool!
Yes, YoYo is the real deal, expect epic things and a great career….
I’m so glad to see the younger generation playing our songs. As a 70 year-old I grew up on Led Zeppelin. I know all is well now and they’re really good.❤❤❤❤❤❤
She nailed the vocals. Can u imagine how hard that would be?
It's damn hard to keep up with Bonham's bass drum work, this kid's a boss.

See any of her covers on Yoyoka Soma's channel. She's the real deal.
Yes!! Noticed that, too. 👍
I believe she was the youngest person ever sponsored by Pearl. 8-9 years old?
Yoyoka was far beyond a child prodigy when she was still a little girl. The videos of her from 8-9 years old are simply amazing. Ellen exudes this kind of talent.
This is a great vid.
They are all rockstars but Ellen is like next level. She not only plays tight and accurate but she is having so much fun and it seems so natural. I am excited to see what happens when she gets into originals and writes her own bass lines. She just has it all even being so tiny the bass dwarfs her. She has made it difficult for anyone to complain that they struggle with guitar or bass because their hands are too small.
I agree...she'll grow into her bass eventually
Totally agree about the hand-size stuff. I started with a 30" short-scale bass because my hands are small. So what did I do years later - I moved to upright with a 44" scale! Go figure...
She and her Dad have a video called something like Summer Jam that is a jazzy prog-rock style original that is amazing.
Following in the footsteps of Alejandra Villarreal of The Warning. 👍
As a HUGE Zeppelin fan I am glad to see young kids enjoying quality music-not to mention the talent that they have. Good job kids-keep it up and I am sure you will have a good musical future.

I have seen the future of rock and this is it.
Damn, just found this. Yoyoka and Ellen performing together was bound to happen. The level of talent among these young musicians is just ridiculous. Everytime I hear Yoyoka drumming on a Zep song it's crazy how "Bonham-esque" her playing feels. And little Ellen just grooving like there's no tomorrow. Also, I always felt that a female talented singer like this girl works great covering Zep songs. And of course excellent guitar playing here as well.
Yoyoka? Is that the drummers name? Who is the lady singer? Thank you 🤓
great cover all did excellent.. but Yoyoka gave me chills, her timing is perfect and she has the Bonham shuffle down... She's a monster Drummer....
She??
I love this. The singer sounds great as she can hit those high notes that Robert sang on the studio version, probably because they were artificially tuned high. Musicians handled themselves well.
How is the little bass girl. JPJ would have been proud.
The drummer is what made this song!!!! Well done !!!
The little bass player and drummer are outstanding! Great job, everyone !!!
I have played the drums, the bass, the lead guitar and I sing, but that was in a different universe of existence, love you all.
They're all great. The girl nails

Ellen and that drummer was kicken ass wow, the whole band was good, so cool seeing the new generation playing the classics
The drummers name is Yoyoka she's 12 and they played awesome together hope its not the last time.
You can't have this kind of musicianship with the computerized garbage that passes for "music" these days. So yeah, the classics would be played a lot. 🙃
@@stimpy_thecat exactly, musicians play these old tunes because all you need to play modern music is a pile of computer crap. There is no challenge in playing this new stuff, if you want to challenge yourself you’ve got to get back to the classics!
The way Ellen is having fun with her bass is delightfull!!!❤
There hope for the Human race. God bless these young Rockers ! 🤘
I see two possibilities here: 1) Ellen and Yoyoka get together and form the greatest rock band in the world. Or 2) They each go off on their own and create the two greatest bands in the world. I honestly don’t knew which I’d prefer but the future of music appears to be safe in the hands of these awesome kids!
Unreal, the little girl on the drums just smoked EVERY drum cover of The Ocean I have ever seen.

This right here proves that there is still hope for real music. Fantastic! And Yoyoka beating those drums like they owe her money.

Same here, you can't help but smile watching this, and the little girl on the bass is great! She tickles me every time I watch this.
My thoughts exactly!
The drummer is a Girl from Japan.
Both girls lol
That vocalist pulled that off and definitely channeled that 70's male vocal vibe.
We know the bass & drummer are top class, but I love the the solo. Drifted in a Page way and gave the song a final seal of approval. One thing about Jimmy Page when playing is he rarely ever played a songs solo the same way twice. He could wander off and still hold the song together. I should also say the lady singing was awesome.
They all pulled it off amazingly well but I get what you are saying as far as trying to cover Page as he is a very improvisational player. Thing is he wasn't at this level at this kids age and he did nail his sound and feel and pretty much spot on to the studio version which even Page never did live. Granted Page was never trying to. He seemed to use his live performances to experiment.
@@whichgodofthousandsmeansno5306 My fave Zep song. Two thumbs UP! Ellen needs to smile more(HA-ha). Yoyoka was on My mind. Perfect timing...

If you enjoy cute kids being awesome, have a look at _”YOYOKA” Drum Course_ which she started making at 6yo:

① AFAIK Yoyoka had about 12 drum lessons, part of the focus was to help her learn English to work with musicians.
BTW, I have no affiliation or relationship with Yoyoka. I'm just a fan.
Great job kids! Drummer kicked butt! Everyone did fantastic! You all are going places! Keep it up!
The bass and drums work so well together. They both have great feeling for rhythm. If you didn't know the drummer was 12 years old you'd guess this was a top professional.
i think, she just may be, the worlds best! she is AMAZING!!!
Some of the best young talent you will ever see!👏
Outstanding! ❗❗❗There is hope for the future.❣
no idea how i missed this one , 2 years ago . Ellen so adorable rocking a bass almost as big as her with authority and style ! ..... who doesn love Ellen plays bass ! !
I've been on a deep dive lately of Ellen and Hovak Videos ,......Super Talented Family!
Nice! The Bass Guitarist is TOP! and the little John Bonham is fantastic. Little Page and and Miss Plant are very good too!!! Very Nice Band, really good cover👍👏👏👏
You know Yoyoka is gonna bring it, but I am Enthusiastically surprised by young Ellen! Drums and bass are the skin and bones of a song, and at her age she vibed with one of the best young drummers out there. Amazing!! All these kids were good, but that foundation was solid and tight!!
Eva just killed it with her lovely vocals and little Ellen groovin to the groove and Mateo with some killer fret work and let's not forget the amazing yoyoka. Everybody keep rocking because you're keeping rock alive .
Tons of great newer bands now.. More than ever.
OMG! How cute is Ellen playing with the big kids!!! What a little legend. Great performance.
Yoyoka is 12, so I guess you can say Ellen is playing with the big kids. 😉
I don't know what to say. If these kids need a parent, they can all move in with my wife and I. I have a garage, I'll empty it and put music gear in it, and my wife will provide snacks regularly. Joking but you guys are bloody amazing, very cool.
By the way I noticed that the drummer does Bonham with a very similar kit, notably one bass drum. So fantastic.
Yoyoka is Bonham reincarnated.
That Drum&Bass backline is impressively steady. You can build all kinds of things on top of a solid foundation like that. Well done!
Yoyoka has been world class drummer since age 9 It was obvious by age 6 where she was headed.
How refreshing it is to see todays youth playing 'Real' Rock! You all Rock!!! Thanks for the video.
As a person who had the privilege of seeing Led Zeppelin four times A+.
I don’t know how many times I’ve watched this video, but I do know, it always amazes me with how great they play and sing.
