The was a fight where I needed something big and tough to draw enemy fire for my Ziggurat to do it's thing. Let's just say I didn't have qualms about force feeding tens of thousands of crewmembers to the void of space to win that battle...

I love s-modding expanded magazines into all of my ships and then spamming weapons that use charges. It's a silly strategy but it works because charge-based weapons tend to be flux efficient and expanded mags fixes the low sustained DPS problem
When using the black hole and the blue suns to skip around hyperspace; you can use the going dark command to slow down rapidly so you don't overshoot as much. Also thanks for the videos really enjoying it so far.
Hello, your vids help me to understand the game mechanic. Thank you. I did try to copy your fleet doctrin and tried to do same fighting like you do. Nah, it aint happen. I don't have the skills for it. So I changed the fleet a bit. 6 omen, 2 medusa, 3 paragon. Paragon is way more easy to use. I changed Paragon setup a bit too. Now in my game there is nobody bothering my colonies anymore :) The progress bar stopped. I 'm very happy. I did join the league without any payment. It removed the league and Hegemony. Made deal with the Kanto, no more pirates. Made deal with the tritacyon and got plus access. Made deal with the Sindrian and got bonus for fuel price. I'm not sure about the pathers. I recently destroyed their base I think because of that they are not in the progress. Maybe they will show up again later. I just want to share with you all.

I used the put cargo in stable orbit trick to repair the hypershunt
you just go over cargo limit for a brief time with 2x the limit
I honestly forget about this mechanic most of the time, but that's a really good idea!
FYI, Omega jump points occur whenever there are two separate stars or other main bodies in a system that aren't close together. The secondary or smaller one gets its own jump point, canned Omega.

Invictus has nothing on the paragon, I killed a church fleet that had 4 invictuses and I defeated them all with my pragon and a few auroras. It was easily 20,000 people I killed that day, a whole ass size 5 colony worth of people now dead and they didnt even scrape my paint lol
High tech, best tech.
Shields recover, and all that armour is almost pointless if the tachyon lance melts through it and emps the entire ship.

Man, vanilla difficulty suddenly feels like a joke, having watched some of your tutorials and gameplay. Loving the neural interface furies! Breath of fresh air for me, and they are strong.
Feels weird to play vanilla after a dozen runs with 70+ mods, too easy. Don't have to worry about unknown ships and weapons every fight, knowledge is king!
Naturally there's plenty of overpowered stuff with that many mods, but even more overpowered, unpredictable enemies until early late game where you automatically snowball with unique bounty ships and story points
Please download Unnoficial New-Game plus and some other mods for more flavor. That way when youre near the "end" all you do is take some of your current fleet into a brand new "universe" with some of your stuff. Its almost like an extremely long term RogueLite mechanic.
Interesting part about both Diable and Scarlatech is that thy're both pretty carrier heavy, would be a very different feel from this high tech no fighter fleet for sure.

It is because of social media mind control. It is main source of entertainment for them. I think that single-player Video games are the best source of entertainment because it doesnt have all the data collection, and methods of influence techniques. I hope you agree with me.

I don't believe gen z themselves are the problem - they're just kids. (and young adults now but whatever). The problem is that social media companies have zero regard for morality and want people to use their apps more - they do this by intentionally making their apps addictive, and running algorithms that push whatever content seems to be getting the most clicks even if it's morally questionable. Mobile game ads, mainstream Tiktok, UA-cam Kids... they amaze me by being so bad and not illegal. Not to mention I keep hearing stories about UA-cam displaying scam ads, but I can't confirm anything since I'm an adblock user. (fun fact: the FBI encourages you to use an adblocker for safety reasons)
I wish gen alpha doesn't follow the same path as my generation, but it seems everything that can go wrong in this world just goes wrong.

35:30 proximity to the core worlds doesnt affect the spawn of the corona, I had my first one spawn truly next to the bottom right of the core worlds - a short trip from all the Heg planets
Since you're doing a modded playthrough next, have you considered adding Iron Shell? The way the new XIV ships play is amazing, and the sprite work is gorgeous, couldn't recommend it enough
Iron shell is indeed, a good mod. A bit unbalanced compared to vanilla I believe, but overall the effort put into it really shows. Plus, anime portraits.

Hyper shunts don’t have to spawn any distance away from each other. At least I assume so because I have 2 within couple of light years away from each other in my current save.

Excuse me, sir. You mentioned some time ago that you changed range of your Coronal Hypershunt. Where did you find such setting? My ctrl+f searching in settings.json ended up with no luck.
Try searching for the term "exotic." I believe the hypershunt range is controlled by a parameter named "maxrangeforexoticdemand" although in my playthrough I used a mod to do it.

FTL is a game. You can find it on steam, but if you are just looking for the soundtrack you can look up "ftl soundtrack" on youtube. I don't know the name of the song that was playing, but it was one of the combat tracks.
FTL is " Faster than Light", if you didn't find the full name from it.

have you tried piloting a retribution they are probably my favourite ship to fly, low tech brute firepower + really good speed and the movement system. especially with light dual autocannons being super broken last version

Mah man, look up the bottom of the mice you aim to buy, and make sure you can see the screws. If not, they are usually hidden behind pads, which requires some de-sticking and re-sticking, so at least look up if that's easier with whatever you want to buy. Long story short, all the double clicking and scroll wheel problems can be resolved by opening up mice and cleaning them up from the inside from all the goop and dust and even hair that accumulates and mixes over time.

You know, I'd like to see a midline playthrough now. If you had to side with the PL, and use exclusively midline ships AND fighters, what would you compose?
Lots of good options there. Monitors, sunders, gryphons, champions, conquests, and pegasus are all strong ships. Midline has a noticeable lack of speedy frigates, so electronic warfare is probably mandatory to help capture points.

I stopped playing after the recent patches with endless buffs and new stuff for midline and lowtech but only nerfs for high-tech. Not sure if I'll play again, but I'll watch occasionally.

Why did you dismiss lvl5 dude from your fleet, when u got lvl2 dude in aflictor, with same skills? You could just swich 5 to aflictor and lvl 7 in paragon? Or this was plannd hmh

What's your opinion on the cluster fuck in the modding scene?
Not much to say that hasn't already been said.
The people who make/use the "forbidden mod" need to go touch grass, but that does *not* make it acceptable for other modders to go nuclear on your save files. Everything was handled quickly and cleanly by Alex on the official forums, as I would expect because he's consistently been very good at choosing when to step in and when to stay hands off.

I just look at the save file and know where the all hypershunt, cryo and level 7 officers. It is killing half of the exploration exitement but for me It saves me a lot of boring stuff.
But why is this sectir obsessed with the "gates"? I mean, it is like one has a regular steam engine railroad and obsesses about those Japanese high-speed trains - yea, they are cool, but you can do everything they can, just a bit (or five times) slower. What is the big deal?
they can’t, that’s the whole thing about the sector they are limited just to it. since the gates shutdown they cannot reach the other sectors and the domain if it even exists anymore
