      My second cousin was the same growing up, his grandpa was a city planner and knew everyone so every time he got into trouble, no matter what it was, he always got bail (he broke a police woman's jaw once, and still got bail!!!!)
      Eventually he went too far and ended up in prison for about 8yrs, since then he's actually turned his life around... Before jail though he thought he was invincible 🤷

    So on camera inside the van he says he's going to kill her and her ex, gets out of his restraints, is already actively on parole with an ankle bracelet, his mom is a judge, and he gets immediately released. Is she trying to go for the "Most Openly Corrupt Official of The Year" award?
    Edit: Also, pretty sure telling the cops from the back that he's going to kill them and their families as well is felony threatening an officer, guy was trying to make those charges read like a CVS receipt.

      @@Fatevxmpits a way to monitor prisoners locations at all times. This can happen by court order, as a condition of someone’s release from prison, etc. it just tracks you and if you go to a location you aren’t supposed to be, they can call you from the monitor and check what’s going on

    For those doubting that his mother is a (now retired) Judge, there are plenty of news articles proving that it's genuine. His name is LOUIS GOODE (oh the irony!) and his mother is Carla Alessio Policandriotes, retired Will County Judge. Louis Goode has numerous domestic violence charges.

      The Illinois safe-t act passed by the state congress requires most people be released with no bond. On top of that, this is typical of most cases over the last several years in that state.

These people are usually just constantly on bail and haven't even been convicted yet, they're just let out until they finally get to their court date and it just keeps getting pushed back forever because there's a constant flow of these people. The alternative is to just skip all the court process and let people be put in jail based on hearsay. Then you could be put in jail just because somebody accuses you of something.
      Child protective services has the same issue. To protect people from the government just taking people's kids away, it takes tons of time and evidence and it can sometimes be too late.
      It's the byproduct of protecting the innocent.

      Hate to tell you but... people on parole or probation still have some rights. A PO can search these people, their homes and their cars at anytime. Police can not without exigent circumstances or a warrant... or if a PO is with them.
      The fact that this incident didn't violate his parole conditions and revoke him back to prison... that's f'd up.

      Hotels cannot give police access to a private hotel room unless the police have a search warrant. Hotel rooms are covered under 4th ammendment the same as a private residence. Paying for a hotel room gives you the right to expect privacy, same as paying rent or a mortgage would for your domicile.
      You also have an some expectations of privacy for your vehicle as well.

      in canada i was charged with a criminal charge over a single speeding ticket lmfao.. same ticket from automated speed enforcement camera's is just a fine.. i literally got hit harder than someone charged with DUI. there was 1 year prison potentially from that charge, AND a 10k fine.. its hilarious cause my car isnt even worth 2k..

      Oh, you mean the part where the staff didn't actually see it happen but we're told by someone else and then went to check it out and when the police showed up, immediately looked up the name they gave him and gave them the room number? How do you figure that was them helping the guy hold her? At what point did they "watch him" drag her in and at where did it state that here? You do realize that the incident had JUST happened and that that's where the desk guy was returning from, right? Another guest saw the guy drag her in the hotel door, not the room door, so the desk guy went to see if he could find anything out when police showed up. I'm not sure how you and 23 others missed that entire interaction.

    I'm glad the people who witnessed this decided to call it in. A lot of people would say "not my business" and keep moving. Scary to think what may have happened to the lady
