Hangar build - Can't recommend enough the importance of full-length Roof Ridge Venting. Wow, it gets the air moving in the hangar. Whether A/C or not, hot air out the roof cool air descends. But you probably know that already. I bought a new hangar 3 years ago and was surprised of how something as simple as good ventilation can make a metal hangar bearable in full sun. I'm no longer a limp dish rag by 1 pm. Now it's 4 pm😁

When it comes to fishing, you will spend the rest of your learning. My dad took me fishing the first time before my first birthday, and we go fishing all the time still today. Each time, no matter what we fish for is a learning experience. As for gear, you will find you will own an entire collection of gear. I own western fly rods, spinning rods, baitcasters, even Cuban yo-yo's. I see you taking these short fishing trips. At least the seem short from this end, spend the day fishing, actually camp out fish two days. Learn not to worry about catching fish and just enjoy the time spent fishing. The fish will come. I think one of my most disappointing fishing trips I have ever had, i caught my limit. Took an hour gathering my gear, two hours driving to the spot. Another 45 mins gearing up and getting set. Caught my limit in 20 mins.. all keepers... got home cleaned them and smoked those rainbows for dinner that night. But it was disappointing because I was looking forward to not being home till late. I was expecting to spend all day at the river, not 20 mins.

I have been here since day one for the flying. However, I have been fishing all my life. I sure wish I could spend time out there in northern Nevada. It is such a peaceful way to unwind and enjoy the wonders of nature. Fishing is a sport, catching is the bonus. It is also like gambling. Pretty fun at first until you hit it big the first time and then you are hooked (pun intended). From then on the anticipation of the catch keeps you coming back. Please, keep it up and keep taking me along. My last fishing buddy was my grandson but since he discovered girls, his grandpa isn’t nearly as cool as he used to be.
    Thank you so much,
    Gary

Trout get spooked by shadows.... smaller flies when sunny.. as it gets darker.. larger the fly. Guess time for me to get my fly rods back out. For small creeks / streams I use a #2 fly rod / line. I prefer a weight forward line. My fly rod breaks down into 4 pieces. I like fishing cut banks... put in the fly.. slowly let out line.. Caught my largest trout ever doing that. Take care - hope everyone are doing well.

As to a hanger. I am a retired Metal Building Contractor. Here are some critical things. One is the accuracy of the concrete is critical. Good concrete and accurate anchor bolts will eliminate many problems down the the road. For a hanger the door is critical. A cheep door will drive you crazy over time. Beware of metal build brokers. These are folks who do not actually manufacturer a building. Lot's other tings to think about. Not going to sell you a building but glad to share experience.

As you walk up to a new fishing hole make a few casts from twenty feet or more back from the edge of the stream. Then walk up to the steam without casting your shadow in the water make a few more casts. Then go to your normal fishing you where doing. As you get to a new spot try not to make the fish think your a bear coming for lunch. I use to fish small steams many years ago where you could sit on the hill above and watch the fish then walk down there and nothing. I think I might have even crawled up to the edge of the steam to try and sneak up on them.

Trent, try Miracle Truss. That is who made our hanger and we love it but I don't know about the cost of wood these days, that may make it prohibitive. It takes the brutal winds that we have here and it doesn't even wiggle. The bi-fold door has been good except you have to keep the bugs and mice out of the control box or the micro switches get stuck and your door won't move.

    Great video once again Trent!
As for the fishing, I grew up fishing the small streams of Northeast Nevada. The best rig I ever fished with was just a simple closed reel rod, fishing with a worm. You can almost always dig up a worm under a rock or throw a grasshopper on there! Trout love them! For those creeks that are real brushy and closed in, I know you'll laugh, but, one of those Snoopy kid's poles works great. As someone else said here, don't have the sun behind you and try to sneak up on the hole without the fish seeing you. Belly crawl, reach out and dip that line into a good hole, staying out of sight as much as you can. Creek fishing in Nevada is a whole different game! I miss it!
