I really believe that this was my personal favorite video from you ever it didn't matter that there wasn't that much flying not a lot of technical discussion but just seeing the conversation of old friends getting together and flying together and seeing some beautiful scenery and getting you to fly to a different part of the country made me smile I appreciate you sharing this with us very well done
This is what aviation is about. I have a son just beginning to fly, and have shown him what kind of adventure he can have in his future, thanks to these videos. Thanks Trent, and friends!
Love flying into shelter cove. You did it great justice here. I wish you weren’t so haphazard with your drones so close to airports, that’s my only gripe.
AH HA,....... Flying vids. as before... ? where are the rest of those "Cowboys" that you posted with years ago ... we miss them ! and how is the one that had the accident and started a new Kitfox ?🤔...... The Coast run when the Whales are around is the best time..... Coos Bay to points south low and slow ( South bound )is the best ride with fantastic views ( Red Bluff/Grants Pass/ Coos Bay then OCEAN ) and a south bound tail wind most of the time. ....... hope to see all of you at Reno in the Fall.👍👍👍Fly Safe.
Thanks Trent, WOW T shirts! I fired up my backhoe, took several hours to clear the latest 3' snow drifts off my grass strip Saturday so my friend and I could fly Sunday afternoon. We have had over 6' of snow this winter, 5X normal, with temperatures way below normal down to -36F. This makes only the third time I have been able to "get high" this year!!! (open cockpit no heat !!)
Awesome video! Thanks for taking us along on the adventure. Regarding the shallow approach over water, you comment how nerving it is know with an engine issue, you would be in the drink. This is a risk you choose to take, it is not a necessary risk. There is a simple solution, altitude=options. Flying LOW over a cloudbank is another avoidable risk. These are risks you keep taking, justifying them as good decisions because there is not a negative outcome. That line of thinking is not congruent with reality. Your complacency is a patient hunter. Low and slow is one thing. Low and slow over tiger country is another - there is a plane for that - Aircam. Sorry for going Karen on you - Keep taking the risks as good decision making rarely makes for good youtube material.
I flew a 172 along the coast from the Sonoma Coast State Park area to Point Arena, then to Boonsville for the most inefficient but beautiful $100 hamburger trip I've ever experienced. I cannot recommend flying the northern California coast enough. Awesome video as always!
I was treasure hunting hot wheels last night with my daughter and found a treasure hunt airplane then this morning taking my wife to work an airplane was flying over us and I must say it was an awesome start to my day👊 safe travels my friends with love from California and I will be flying one day I even quit smoking to make my dream real. Good Morning to ya all👊🙏😎
Copalis State Airport in WA is the only coastal beach airport that I know of in the PNW. We launch and fly our paramotors out of Sand Lake OR which is a ATV area, but they may not allow general aviation, and the beach may be a gray area.
I’ve off roaded to shelter cove and the lighthouse. Usal Beach to Shelter Cove is an easy route, but fun. Cool to see it from the air. He flew over what’s called the Lost Coast
This one adventure had to be worth at least one year of hassles of owning and maintaining an airplane...especially when this winter seems like it will never end. Way to catch the break in the storms!
Shelter Cove is one of my favorite lunch spots. It's such a beautiful flight. Haven't risked staying overnight since the fog sometimes suddenly moves in for weeks.
"California Dreamin" ? On a Winters day. Sorry got the Old memory banks reminded of the Old Mamas and the Papas song. Nice trip. Regards, Jim the Brit in NI UK
California marine layer is a summertime thing, doesn't normally happen in winter and yea those coastal mountains all the way up into Oregon are rough and desolate. If you're gonna meet Bigfoot that's probably where it would be. Try exploring the Trinity Alps NW of Red Bluff. Lots of cool little airports up there.
@@TrentonPalmer that's awesome. I would love to hear more about your editing software, cameras, and etc. Maybe you could accept me on Facebook, or I can give you my number. I love what your doing! Josh Myer
Wait til you find the airport on the beach... literally on the beach just North of Ocean Shores, WA "Copalis State Airport". I'm at a loss where else you can land right on the beach. Just make sure to double check those tide tables lol.
This is your best video (for me) in awhile. Love the mission of exploring - aren't airplanes really magic carpets after all? And the drone shots are epic. Well done.
Stunning drone photography! Have you ever thought of making a living at it...? In this one video you've captured the essence of fellowship, why we fly, the wonder of exploration, the beauty of the Northern California coastline, and the goodness of a fine micro craft beer. Quite a piece of work - well done, and a big think you for bringing us along.
Trent Canadian snow plow tip white vinegar neutralizes salt fyi put it through a Chem inductor like you would use to fertilize your lawn just screws onto a garden hose let it almost dry and rinse it off
LOVE this type of video Trent! It’s always a treat to see what flying can enable you to do, and what type of unique adventures are made possible through flying
Marvelous❕✨💫There's always a supernatural touch that comes out when you're together in the videos! 🛩🛩 Thank you guys so much for this great trip❕Peace✌
The video quality is amazing. Love the touch of the drone footage. Adds a lot. I know it was chopped up with stops, but curious how many air hours it was to the coast. Fun trip.
Great video! Patti's Morning Thunder is the breakfast place in Quincy! A couple of B& B's around the corner for overnighting. Quincy is the base for Mountain Biking in the area. Shelter Cove is awesome. If you check in at Little River you can get a weather update to help with the decision to proceed. Good destinations all around!!
Me again - I probably can set you up to call a local in Shelter Cove to check current weather conditions if you want. Sure miss flying there, live in Pismo Beach now and no wings.
Back in the mid 70's I use to fly prospective buyers into Shelter Cove every weekend. At that time there were about 3 cabins in the entire area. Beautiful coast line. There's a DC-3 in in the ocean just off the north end of the runway, crashed on takeoff years ago.
Ha! Quincy. I worked in that big lue hangar in high school, not exactly a lot of demand for small aircraft repair there. Morning Thunder was my mom's favorite restaurant, but trust me that town is a lot nicer to visit that to live in. 🤣
Terrific video, beautiful CA scenery, good friends, food and beer; definitely flying at its most fun. Thank you for the time and effort you put into sharing it with me and your growing fan club (subscribers). 👍👍
I tried flying from Minden to Shelter Cove. Unfortunately the marine layer was covering it. So I had to land at Garberville right next to it for fuel. Great video as always!
Yet another great vid Trent :) Incidentally Google maps has Reno Stead- Quincy- Shelter Cove as a 7hr 54min drive... I know which method of transport I'd choose :)
Learned to fly in Mendocino County, Ukiah area a few years ago. Still haven’t made it up to Shelter Cove, super intimidating for a new pilot! Just flying over to our coast, Mendocino/Fort Bragg area is intense for the same reasons you were concerned- nothing but trees as far as you can see! My instructor always taught me to always be on the lookout for grassy southern slopes for an uphill emergency bailout! Good stuff Trent, keep it up! Hoping to get myself a kit fox one of these years.
Incredibly beautiful video of a great adventure. You're making me miss CA flying again; never made into Shelter Cove but visited Half Moon Bay a lot. Last time I flew in/out of Red Bluff I was getting a ride in an Aero L-29 Delfin jet.
Great video Trent. Awesome scenery and, as always, you capture the feeling of the moment to perfection. Interesting drag race tyre branding on your one-wheel!
Overall these are my favorite style of videos from you. Friends, flying, fun. I like all the videos obviously but these are just fun to watch.

This def ranks up there as one of the great vids. The flying you did do was new and was cool to see you guys go on a mini-adventure. Nice one Trent!
I concur
Greg don't forget the Awesome Drone footage!!! I so agree with Greg - thanks so much Trent - R
Sweet. Those killer drone shots at the end is easy to see while you’re the best in the business.
That’s gotta be one fast little FPV.
This is what aviation is about. I have a son just beginning to fly, and have shown him what kind of adventure he can have in his future, thanks to these videos. Thanks Trent, and friends!
The north coast is awesome. That costal range is all covered in snow now.
Morning Thunder in Quincy CA. Open every day of the week 7am -2pm, except Wednesday.

Oh yeah, morning thunder's so good. Good swimming off the other side of the runway in the summer too.
The beats in this video are next level!
Shelter Cove is one of my favorite lunch spots. It's such a beautiful flight.
Haven't risked staying overnight since the fog sometimes suddenly moves in for weeks.
That was one of your best videos. Calif. has one of the most beautiful coastlines of any place in the world.

Very nice job was fun sharing the Adventure with you!!!!
Trent, do you do all your own filming and editing? It's always so well put together! ❤
I do normally shoot and edit all my videos although a friend of mine edited this video for me 🤙
@@TrentonPalmer Those drone shots at the end of the video were FIRE!!

It is, after all, what he does as a professional for a living.
Trent, you really do need to have more adventures!!! And, I’m glad you’re back to following your friends with your drone!!! Love those shots!
Shelter Cove is one of my favorite places to go and not far from my home base. Easily one of the prettiest airports around (when it isn't foggy).
Thank you so much for the "little" shot of big wide open space.
Heck yeah! Love Shelter Cove, a quick hop from the whole KCIC area just below Red Bluff 🤘🏼
One of the best videos yet Trent and Ty. Nice work fellas - Cheers!
Green plants and t-shirts! I haven't seen either of those outside in 5 months, lol. Looked like a blast! 😎
You make my heart sing. Thank you for the glorious ride!
Trent, your new intro is LOUD!!!!!
Wakes up everyone in the house when your video comes on. They say , watchin Tren't again?
Looks like a fun scouting trip
Those air-to-air shots are great.

On top a that thanks for takin us along by sharing...☹🇺🇸🏁
😂
@Mr_TrentPalmer. Don't y'all get tired of trying to scam people?
Next time you should try Las Trancas , an RAF strip down south by Davenport
If you haven't heard of it, Monterey Bay Academy airport CA66 is a really nice grass strip super close to the beach.
Not sure what you did differently, maybe the scenery plus the music, but this is one of your best videos! Love it!

Flown my kitfox to shelter cove a couple times. Love that place.
Looking forward to those podcasts 👍👍🤘

Wow Trent, ... such a good video! How could this get any better? Much respect!
That's cool you can use the drone at Shelter cove. We's be hung by the nearest yard arm trying that around my parts.
Drone shots are SICK! You never disappoint!

Beautiful coast and valley flight.
Did my flight training in Garberville and shelter cove! Wonderful area to fly!
Another great video Trent. Cool to see Brian Bowen flying with you guys. Peace
You’re an inspiration and I thank you for taking us places we can’t all go. Great video Trent!
Very cool that you’re carrying your Onewheels! I bought 2 just for the airplane, but 2 Onewheels use up 70 lbs of useful load!
@12:57 Time to grease your wheel bearings and shorten your takeoff roll :)

Hi from Namibia Trent! Love watching your videos! Have you seen Mike Patey's crazy swimming pool / house build?
@16:40 lol the loud environment waring on his apple watch.
Edit: Wrong time stamp.
Checkout Amboy, CA there’s an unpublished strip there where you can taxi right onto old Route 66
Another beach airport is Oceano, restaurants close by.
Just so much FUN to watch! Thanks, Trent!
Going places together, best episode ever
