Make sure the esc isn’t set to 50% (beginner mode). I have a slash and it should be way faster than that.

My slash on 100% is still way slower then my rustler even with the same batterie

That shock cap failure is common, they don't warranty it. Traxxas makes aluminum shock caps that are much stronger, sometimes a different screw is required going to the metal shock cap or at least it was on my daughters Rustler.

if you put a corvette engine in a truck and race it against a corvette with the same engine on flat pavement the corvette will win. i will admit i dont know much about the rustler 4x4 chasis or transmission or gears, i have the 2wd rustler and its way faster on the road than my slash 4x4, its all about power to weight ratio and gears in this case
Are you sure that wasn't a brushed slash my slash on 3s is pretty much uncontrollable was it in beginner mode there's something wrong with the Slash
Yikes, if that was a brushed slash, then Andre paid way too much!!!!
My Slash 4x4 vxl and Rustler 4x4 vxl are about the same top speed wise and acceleration wise. Maybe the ESC in the Slash needs to be calibrated? Also somthing to consider is the Slipper in the Slash is smaller then the one in the Ruster. I think Traxxas made the Slash's slipper smaller due to the skinner tires.
What is a slipper?
@@I3eta I see this was two years ago, but Incase you don't know yet it's a slipper clutch, basically there to help the drive components stay intact
Next test: racing it to as slope to fly it through a ring of fire and capture it on slow motion. If successful with one ring of fire then add another one to a certain distance from the first and so on! Now THIS is an exciting idea: The Captain Drone Yearly Ring of Fire Test!!

I wanna buy the Aarma Kraton 4s. But in Puerto Rico, there not spare parts. So the choice that'll have left is the Slash ultimate or the rustler 4x4 vxl.
What should I buy??
The Rustler is the better one (more modern, faster & less flip overs as well as one piece quick body removal).

It's the gearing.

So nothing happened when you ran the rustler on traxxas 3cell 5000mAh lipo battery? I mean like nothing will happen if i use traxxas 3cell 5000mAh lipo battery on my rustler 4x4?, im new to these rc things thats why im asking for your advise and can you reply please☺️
The rustler is this video is a 3S rustler so Yes it requires the 3 Cell battery
Maybe they're geared the same and the slash has the smaller tires...
My slash vxl does 45mph with the low speed gearing on 3s which is like 72kph, something is wrong with that slash if its a vxl.

I have a slash 4x4 that will run 70 mph. It is running 3s . I had to change spur and pinion gear. Without the gear change it was only doing 27mph .
i have a slash 4x4 vxl ultimate and it does 51mph on grass or tarmac out the box, rpm limited i believe on stock gearing with a 5000mah 50c lipo

I have this with the big battery. HOLY SH##. Traxxas has definitely got their sh## together.
Clocked with a radar gun at 104 mph. The next battery down was clocked at 77 mph. Next battery down (which I recommend for your average dirt pile, 34 mph. Yes before you do 100 mph you will need to modify some stuff. Not to make it faster but to hold it together. For starters the stock tires will deform at higher speeds. Wheelie bars too. You'll spend most of your time flipping your rustler back over

How do you use the GPS on the GoPro
If you have a HERO 5 or above, just turn the GPS on. You have to use the GOPRO edit software to make the GPS overlay the video.

I have been thinking of buying a budget starter drone E511s or alike but am a little confused about phone compatibility. I have a Samsung S7 Edge we do not currently have 5g network in the UK, will the drone work with my phone. your expertise would be great appreciated.
Drones do not use cell towers, so when you think of a phone using 5G or 4G you are thinking of the phone talking to the cell tower. In the world of drones we say 5G which is short for 5Ghz which is short for 802.11ac WiFi protocol. So in summary, if your phone can handle 802.11ac Wifi in your house, then it would work with drones.

Cpt Drone - What's the operational range for the Slash?? i.e. signal distance.
It is on the ground and the internal antenna is small. I can control it from one end of a football field to the other by raising my controller higher than my waist (although I can barely see it). The higher you stand the farther the range.

Will the rustler body fit on the slash
It would not fit nicely because it does not have holes to put pins through since it uses the same connection system as the X-Maxx. You'd probably have to heavily modify it.
This video is not accurate. There is a throttle calibration problem or something going on with the Slash. It should be about the same or faster than the Rustler. Hopefully you've figured out the problem by now.
So far it just seems the Slash is slower. Hopefully if there is a problem, it will come to light. The most popular RC Car at my local park is the Slash, so there are many to compare against.
@@CAPTAINDRONE798 There are numerous videos showing proper stock Slashes running on 3s. They are usually hard to control since they go about 45mph.

Slash will outrun the rustler with both on stock gearing if the escs are both at 100 percent. Slash runs 13 tooth stock pinion and rustler runs 11 tooth stock pinion with same system in both. Slash will spank the rustler.

The answer is YES and YES, but you must be wise and get the correct 5000 mAh battery (there are two sizes... get the smaller size).

〘LXO・ MEZO〙 The ESC will not overheat if your running the same car as I was. Are you asking these questions because you watched a Rustler video and confused that video with this video which is the Rustler VXL 4x4 which is designed for 3S Lipo batteries.
Go to the Traxxas website. Pick the car you want to buy and then select Batteries. It will show you all batteries compatible.

The slash is no where near as fast has the rustler I have both, and my slash is the slowest car I have
Try turning up the throttle % to 150

It makes it go much faster. In future I may show a video about it.

There are many RC Cars that cost less than the Rustler if you are looking at getting into RC Cars. RedCat has many low cost models.

Great video! I wanted a Rustler like yours but settled on an FS Racing FS-53692 from Banggood after my 5 year old son saw a video of it driving on water. "Daddy, I want the water car!" I also grabbed the $269 USD Hubsan Zino, so I'll have to take those Canadian flying tests soon. I gave up on waiting for a sub 250G Spark 2.
Can you give me an idea of how long shipping delays are from Banggood to Canada? I'm eager to fly the Zino.
If you place paddle tires on the Rustler or Slash it will surf along the water for as long as the battery lasts.
Banggood shipping, if the item is in stock & shipping is not by boat is 1.5 weeks to Canada.

@@CAPTAINDRONE798 Yes, it's business days. The delivery date is listed as May 18th on the order. The truck was ordered Thursday the 25th but still has not shipped. Now I'm hesitating due to the long delays but I don't think I can cancel the order. They already charged the card.

I have slash 4x4 ultimate way faster
It's a 2wd non lcg slash..has different gearing. The lcg slash 4x4 is about the same speed as 4x4 rustler. That's the missing equation
Actually it is a SLASH VXL 4X4.

Oh, didn't see the center drive shaft. Wierd, my Slash platinum is side by side with my cousins rustler 4x4, and usually beats it in shorter races, because slipper clutch. Rustler just wheelies
No wonder the rustler smoked the slash w the stock gearing u guys should put the modified speed gearing on the slash and then do the top speed run again.
But then we'd have to also put the included pion gear on the Rustler as well to be fair.

Stock slash. If you drove your Slash against a Rustler you'd see the difference. I thought the same as you and expected them to be identical but nope.
