That trick to get it seated was money! Discovered my boot was ripped while replacing control arms and had to do an improvement cv joint replacement. That tip reall y helped!
Thanks for these videos! You saved me $4200 replacing CV, Lower Arm, and strut myself rather than the dealership 🤘
That c-clamp trick is money.
Bro respect for this video keep them flowing
I’ll have to try this 😂 the dealership I work at we all do it differently Ik some guys that take the whole lower control arm knuckle and strut out together as an assembly. I’ll typically remove the lower control arm bolt from the steering knuckle and the tie rod and swing it out the way. Fun fact about the lock nut on the axle for any warranty purposes either if you replace the axle or have to remove the nut for anything else the threads cannot be damaged or we get charged back for it
What's the procedures if you have a manual transmission. I think I remember something about the timing so that the vehicle will turn over after the new install is complete.
Does any cvt fluid come out when replacing the cv axles
Nice and easy. thank you. great idea.
what's the torque spec for the axle nut ?
Pretty good video
.
Could be a min or 2 shorter.....but no 20mins of BS like a lot of channels
.
Just a lot of simple, basic info for the rookies, which is totally OK (just annoying for a 12 year vet like I am lol....but I still watch YT vids to learn tricks like taking the 2 bolts off the lower control arm VS the pinch bolt)
Comments about the length of a video you think is 2 minutes too long is petty don't you think. These videos are for DIYers.
what type of prybar did you use. nothing I put in there is fitting
Just some regular pry bar I bought from auto zone
Couldn't you have separated the ball joint instead?
Thank u
Oh the list goes on and on I’ve had the door lock issue, like immediately after purchasing, now I think I need these things replaced, or a complete front end job. my car rattles bad on bumpy roads and we have A LOT of those where I live. I’ve had my compressor changed twice in less than 5 years, my check engine light came on I can’t remember what that problem was but it was something covered under warranty at that time. Worst car in the world to purchase. I do not recommend !! And to think I traded in my Camry for this trash. 🙄
Where are you located?
Florida
Thank you
