    It was a good video but now it occurs to me that I need a video of someone doing it in their drive way with a floor jack and jack stands. And I don't think that lower ball joint was all the way in when he attempted to put the keeper bolt in. The bolt should only need a light tapping if it's lined up with the groove. I was also wondering if it would work to get the ball joint started in the hole first, then push the control arm into place??? I guess I'll have to try it and find out. Thanks for a close up look at all this, bro. I appreciate it.

    For anyone about to do this job you DO NOT need to remove the lower control arm as shown in this video , just let the assembly hang after you take the two lower strut bolts out , you can use a jackstand to support the hanging assembly after you remove the lower strut bolts

    You seem to work on a lot of Altimas and they aren’t old cars. On the other hand not many Camrys and Accords seem to come into your shop. Thanks for letting us know to stay away from Altimas.

      I have a 2013 cv 2.5 and that thing is a champ, most people probably treat them like shit. 190 k and barely done any work

      Meh, I got a 16 with over 225k and only general maintenance done. I'm just now needing to replace a bad wheel bearing making noise. Honestly I'm so happy with my Altima I would put a new Trans in it if it went out.

      Yeah... I got a 2012 with a 170k I personally put the last 130 on it and I’m just now starting to have some problems. I can honestly say it served the hell out of me. But definitely time for an upgrade

    Why not just take the two strut bolts out and rock the assembly down?

    • @yashiroku
      @yashiroku 2 роки тому

      It gives you more room this way, but the strut way works if you can do it with the limited room. If you have to take the whole thing, bracket and all apart you will end up removing it anyway...lol

    Seems like nice guy/mechnaic n detailed video... but over detailed... for the diy guy or any novice mechanic on flat rate job Do not remove control arm..as with all cars where struts bolt to knuckle which is majority if not All asian cars, simply remove 2 strut bolts, outter tie rod bolt(which usually isnt necessary) and that gives more than enough access / movement to easily remove axle(s)... If your charging by the hour then yes remove lower arm, might as well do otter tie rod and sway bar links if yah want..... but def not needed and waste of time
