    You did real invormative cut and dry demonstration. I do this shit all the time. That was prob one of the best wheel bearing videos ive seen. It was nice to watch somebody actually do it calmly and effectively bc nobody learns anything all pissed off.

      My first thought was I bet this will take me longer and require a few choice words to get it done.

    Thank you for the video! Just wrapped up replacing mine on a 2015 Altima. Took me quite a bit longer, but that's on me and being a novice, as well as a stubborn 22mm and nearly fused bearing/hub unit. Runs smooth as butter now. Thanks again!

    Great to c u using the Milwaukee ratchet!! So many vids I wanted to suggest it. But I already overstepped when I suggested WD-40 for connectors.

    Thanks for video! Very helpful. All please be aware there is a top and bottom of the wheel bearing. Two top holes allow for the installation of the wheel sensor. If you look at the bearing, you will see what I am talking about. If you have it upside down, the sensor will not go back in. I had to take it back off and flip it around. Not a huge deal, but a little more time!

    Hi, i hit a pothole with my 2020 altima and now the front left wheel bearing started to make humming. i can barley hear it, so i wonder if it the same procedure as it in the video
    cheers!

  • @michaelmiller381

    Excellent video. You should note to be careful to make sure as you're installing the bearing that the wheel sensor fits back in before bolting everything down. You can install it incorrectly and the sensor won't fit.

    • @tcmazz
      @tcmazz 2 роки тому

      This is exactly the problem I'm having. So your saying first install the sensor before installing and tighting up the bolts.
      What did I do wrong?

    • @jmathis3
      @jmathis3 2 роки тому +1

      If you look in the back of the hub assembly it has 3 “windows”. One points to 6 o’clock and the other two go up to the right and left. That’s for the sensor to fit into. If installed upside down the sensor won’t have a window to go in

  • @tcmazz
    @tcmazz 2 роки тому

    Great Video, the issue I'm having is reinstalling the speed sensor cable, it won't go in! Does it need to be align with installing the hub? I didn't see this in the video. Any thoughts

    • @jmathis3
      @jmathis3 2 роки тому +3

      Your window on your wheel bearing probably isn’t aligned right. Might have to clock it or flip your wheel bearing 180 degrees.

    You don't have to press these in? I have a 17 altima I think it's got a bad bearing.

    • @Tomsfoolery.
      @Tomsfoolery.  2 роки тому +1

      I assumed it would have been a pressed wheel bearing. But I sure didn't complain when I saw it was a bolt in hub!

    Did you have to reset Warning light.. skid light.. ABS light.. and Malfunction light? All these lights came on when my wheel bearing was changed! Can anyone tell me what he did wrong and how to get these lights off🤦🏽‍♀️🤷🏽‍♀️

    • @Tomsfoolery.
      @Tomsfoolery.  2 роки тому +1

      The lights shut off on their own as long as there isn’t a fault present. If your lights are on, they likely didn’t hook up the abs sensor wire properly and the signal is missing.

      @@Tomsfoolery. Thank you so much for the reply. He said he didn’t have to touch the speed sensor bcuz its in the back but NOW its not reading after he put on the wheel bearing. Could that be true? Mines is a 2015 btw.

    • @jmathis3

      @@virgovixen22 he probably broke the abs/wheel speed sensor.

    • @Tomsfoolery.
      @Tomsfoolery.  2 роки тому +2

      @@virgovixen22 So I'm assuming yours was a press in style bearing. If the sensor was reading fine before the bearing installation, it's likely the bearing was pressed in with the tone ring facing the wrong direction. Using a small screwdriver you can lightly touch each side of the bearing and feel for a magnetic feeling. That's the side with the tone ring. The tone ring must always be facing the speed sensor.
