Amber will seriously love "Reminiscing." A love song for all ages.
I think they did 'Reminiscing' last time but they could do the live version with Farnsey for something different.
Lady.
They’ve reacted to Cool Change, Lady, Reminiscing, If I Get Lucky and Lonesome Loser
It's A Long Way There for great harmonies!
Reminiscing is their best song.
Glenn Frey..R.I.P said these guys were the best harmonizing band in the world, that's high praise
Yes he did "The singing-est band in the world"
Isn’t Glenn Frey from the Eagles? This guy’s name is Glenn Shorrock. Yes, they both passed away, May they RIP🙏🏻😢
You finally figured out that the lyrics have a double meaning.. LRB is one of the greats from the late 70's early 80's. Back when music was REAL! 🙂
ya but this was the 70dz
@@theodoreritola7641.. That's why I said late 70's..
oky doky lol@@ausfuhrpramienjagar
Most under rated band
Ya but this was frm July 1979 .70s gold
Little River Band "Reminiscing" is a must
Jay & Amber, you'll love their "Help Is on Its Way"!!! Glenn Shorrock on lead vocals on Lonesome Loser
Glenn looks like Jack Black in that video.
God, that takes me back. One of the first songs I can ever remember.
🎶"Why are you in so much hurry? Is it really worth the worry?... Look around, then slow down.."
"Help Is on its Way" is one of my favorites of theirs (and I love almost all of their music)!
LRB is playing in my area next month, but I'd only go to see them if Glenn was still with them, but he's not.
Another great song by this Australian band. Any song by them will have great harmonies, great musicians.
-#cheers-- !-
I haven’t heard from LRB in a long time, thanks for reminding me of this awesome group.
One of them is actualy Dutch: Beeb Birtels who's real name is Gerard Bertelkamp ua-cam.com/video/ADWe8m_zZ3g/v-deo.html
Didn't know they were Australian
@@ronhunt9396 there not even the real band anymore the guy that has the rights to the name and songs was a replacement member in early 80s, none of the og members are still even in the band its sad it basically stole the rights away from the other members and he did not write any of the songs
There is a story that Don Henley of the Eagles called LRB the best vocal band performing at the time....
I love these guys. They are one of the first acts that comes to mind when I think of effortless musical ability and harmony.
I agree! Been a fan since childhood! I was fortunate to see them live twice in the 80's before John Farnham joined. They need to react to "Night Owls" and "Cool Change."
I’d forgotten how good their harmonies were.
@@seanswinton6242, I love The Night Owls. I guess the guitar work stands out among their usual stuff.
also Linda Ronstadt
Saw LRB two years ago and they sound exactly the same. AWESOME concert.
I was 10 years old when I discovered the Little River Band, and I LOVED their song "Lady." I thought the lead singer was so incredibly handsome and kinda had a little girl crush on him. I just looked up his info and found out he's the same age as my dad. Haha! Man, the innocence of childhood.
Ya we took our sons to there first concert. Chicago & little river band in the early 1990 s
Another classic that was played much over the radio back then.
Yep, but nice to go back in time! Fun!!
I was near one of the cars speakers as a kid.. when they first open with “Have you heard…”, I about jumped out of my skin cause it was cranked up!! 😆 Loved it then and always will! Love LRB! 🙂👍
I haven’t heard this song in years, but I was able to sing along with every word just now! Love this group-they were my first ever concert in 1978 when I was 12 years old.
and not enough now!!!
#6 on Billboard, but three weeks at #1 on the airplay only R&R chart.
Their “ Long way there” has incredible guitar.
They are such a WAY underrated band, with lots of great songs. "Its a Long Way There," is another cool song of theirs with lots of their trademark harmonies.
Great suggestion. Nice early laid back rock. Almost has a Woodstock vibe. Doesn't even feel like a 9 min song.
I believe it’s their best compilation.
Please, please listen to the album cut of “Its a Long Way There”🙏
You’ll love it…
Yeah love that song especially the long version
Their masterpiece imo!
The Summer of 1979 you could NOT escape this song...and no one wanted to escape it!
This was when you could still call into most radio stations and make requests and this song blew UP!
In fact, this whole album is absolutely amazing. Not a bad song on it!
Queen of Hearts can be anything. To me, it was always love. He was unlucky at love. ...but, he still kept on trying. Such a universal theme. All of us have to keep on trying in those 'loser' areas. It's lonesome. Someday we'll get it. We just know it.
This is a song that is very special to me. I was lucky enough to sing with Little River Band and do this song with them at 2 shows... I sang with them at a Casino 😊
Cool story 😎
Good work!
How long ago?
Yup, this song rocks. Those harmonies.
That band was famous for their vocals and the harmonization. It made them instantly recognizable. I think the First Under the Wire album was their best.
when i 1st heard them around 77-78..instantly hooked.
Awesome childhood memories here. You'll also love their other hits Take It Easy On Me, Help Is On the Way, Happy Anniversary, Man On Your Mind, Night Owls, and The Other Guy. All 🔥🎶
And don’t forget curiosity killed the cat
"Playing To Win" 🔥was another great song of theirs with John Farnham on vocals. More of a hard rockin' 80's tune, than their laid-back 70's style ua-cam.com/video/1_ad9TqnVEo/v-deo.html
Take it easy on me and Night Owls are so so so good!!!
@@bethwodephotography I'm a little late to the party here, but I must say that with so many LRB fans on here, it's a shame that they've apparently never heard of "Curiosity Killed The Cat." It truly is one of their best songs.
@@derbypalmerston3265 two of my faves for sure
GREAT Aussie Band from the 1970s/80s. ‘It’s a long way there’ (full length album version) from 1976 is an all-time classic. Very underrated band.
this was the 70dz though.
The song is the definition of the late 70’s soft rock.
There is a reason why The Eagles called LRB the greatest vocal harmony band on the planet, It's A Long Way There showcases this along with some awesome guitar work in the 8 minute odd version
This Australian Band is one of the most underrated Band of all time! The album version of It’s Long Way There’ is a fantastic guitar solo track. Also Night Owl, Happy Anniversary!
😅😅
The look on Ambers face at 5:49 IS THE PERSONIFICATION OF WHAT GREAT MUSIC DOES TO YOU AND FOR YOU
This song is great. Another awesome song is " The Night Owls " because if you like Lonesome Loser then you will love ":The Night Owls for certain. Also, if you like more rockin Little River Band songs then i also recommend " man on your mind "
Long Way There is my favorite LRB tune. Saw them on a cold snowy night in 1978. With a girl I loved but let slip away. Magical night. Excellent and extremely talented group!!!
I walked into pub while they were playing "Curiosity Kill The Cat ". ........the whole room moved together its was fantastic to not only watch but to feel
You guys would love "Man on your mind" by Little River also. Fantastic harmonies. Even better than in this song!
A favorite tune of theirs is “Lady”… great song
Most LRB hits were written by founding members Graham Goble, Beeb Birtles or Glenn Shorrock, but "Lonesome Loser" was written by guitarist David Briggs, who joined in 1976 after the band's second album.
Little River Band are known for their vocal harmonies, which are front and center on this song. It opens with a distinctive a cappella intro by Goble, Birtles and Shorrock that makes the song pop when it comes on the radio or in a playlist. The chorus, which is where the harmonies take place, shows up four times in the song, including off the top. It's an effective hook that puts a distinctive stamp on the song.
Another great Aussie Band to give a listen- Cold Chisel, classic aussie rock
Agree - Bow River from Ringside concert
Their group harmonies were unmatched for a long time. Great band.
The best vocal harmony band ever.
Great song. Love “Cool Change”.
The first time I heard them was "It's a Long Way There". Such a fantastic song. Been a fan ever since. It's a Long Way There is still their best song in my opinion.
These boys never had a bad song. Loved 'em new, love 'em even more now.
This song introduced me to Little River Band and their great harmonies, in the 80s
ya but this was the 70dz

@@theodoreritola7641 , sorry, I was late to the party back then
@@ednurge3848 LOL Not mE LOL
Since you just announced that it’s the 2-year Anniversary of your channel, let me suggest LRB’s “Happy Anniversary”! Hey but they have so so many great songs. Please continue to dig further into their catalogue! You won’t be disappointed.
It's a Long Way There is their most rocking song. Just incredible guitar throughout it
I adore Little River Band!!!
They toured with the Eagles and the Eagles told them they had the best harmonies. High praise coming from them.
John Farnham was a member of Little River Band for a couple of years. They did a song called 'Playing To Win' that is unlike anything you reacted to by Farnsey. He also does a live version and you know how good he is live.
Great recommendation 👍
St Louis from HBO concert and We Two are just phenomenal with John Farnham.
More like 5 years I believe.
Also "down on the border" my favourite LRB song...
Two words that put The Little River Band heads and tails above others. SONG WRITING.
A Great Song , A Great Band..Brings back A lot of fond memories for me from that period in time..
“Reminiscing” and “Help is on its way” are two of my favorites
"Its a Long Way There" is their best song. Incredible harmonies and a very cool vibe.
Glad they aren't forgotten....so good and lots of epic songs!
Love this group. My favorite songs of theirs are "The Night Owls" and "Take It Easy On Me" and I highly recommend both of them.
You guys listen to this one again. Don’t be sleeping on that bass playing! Literally EVERYTHING in this song is firing on all cylinders.
I’m soon to be 59 years old. My daughter is 25. She was asking for some “good music” from her momma. We purchased a LRB album at a flea market in our town for $1.50. I know. Crazy. Lonesome Loser is by far her favorite, but she loves every song on the album.
Phenominal Aussie band LRB! Just brilliant harmonising.
It's my opinion that some of the greatest music in history has been courtesy of Australian artists such as this. Who's with me on this?
Bee Gees???
Air Supply.
@@janiceduke1205 love them too!!
Aussie! Aussie! Aussie! Great to see LRB score a reaction vid! Pretty proud of these guys - as I'm sure all my fellow Aussies are. Be good to see "Help Is On Its Way" get a reaction at some stage down the track.
They have a song called “Long Way There” the full version, has killer vocals as well as incredible instrumental performance
Yeah, the 8:42 long version.
Yes, yes you have to check out It’s a Long Way There. I think the vocals and instrumentals both are exceptional! 👍🏻❤️
Oh man, I love this song!!! Harmonies are flawless❤
Don't you just LOVE their harmonies? And to get hit with them right off the bat! WOW!!
Love LRB! I hope your next one is "The Other Guy", which is one of their 80s tracks. It's a great song about reclaiming a loving relationship that's hit a rough patch.
Good one! Also "Cool Change"...and everything else they ever did.
@@angelbulldog4934 I agree. "Cool Change" is my song for life. It represents new beginnings or renaissance in life's challenges like a break-up & reunion, a change in life's direction, and my survival song following transplant surgery. It so mellow and great for meditation as well.
@@seanswinton6242 think they did that first
Why don't more people know this song? One of my favorites by LRB.
One that you need to put at the top of your list from these guys is “It’s A Long Way There”. The guitar throughout the entire song is phenomenal.
One of my fav Little River Band🤗🙏💜 songs ,they have loads of amazing songs please go down the rabbit hole with them . Thanks for always making me smile, good vibes and much love
Amber’s reaction at 2:07 is priceless. What a great smile. You go girl!
Great song from a great band, amazing harmonies!
This is the classic sound for Little River Band. Keep on checking out their biggest hits and you can't go wrong.
Our high school installed a juke box in the lunchroom in 1979. This song and Bad Case of Loving You by Robert Palmer seemed to be on constant repeat. I'm sure it held 100 45's, so there was 200 songs to choose from ... but these two were pop hits at the time and got lots of plays. Finally some Senior stoner got fed up and unplugged it during this song one time. I still laugh about that 43-ish years later. But I digress ... a great song and another great reaction guys! Keep it up!!
Little River Band..... I wore out their albums ...... you'll love songs such as.... Help Is On The Way, Reminiscing, Cool Change , Long Way There and many others. They're a band you two need to dive into......you won't be disappointed.
I almost totally forgot about this band…. Damn, we were so lucky so many great bands you forget about some over the course of time.😂😂😂❤❤❤
Haven't heard this one in awhile, but it still hits the same. Good band, great vocal composition.
"Take It Easy On Me" and "The Night Owl" are two other Huge hits by Little River Band. One's a rocker and the other is a ballad.
Night Owls! And even when John Farnham took over the lead after Glen Shorrock, those Little River Band’s songs were great with him too. Playing to win, Down on the Border, We two, Night Owls and Reminiscing (with John)
Another great song! ❤
This by far my favorite LRB song!! It just grabs you right from the start and just blows your mind all the way through!!
Another great band with a lot of fantastic songs
Long Way There (long version) is an absolute must!! Along with Cool Change!!
I knew y’all would love this song, it’s impossible not to fall in love with their music
Another awesome song! Help is on the Way by the Little River Band, that's what you need to hear next!
This was from the 5th album from 1979, " First Under the Wire", and was the lead single. It reached Number 19 in Australia and Number 6 on the Billboard Hot 100 in the US.
The harmonies are front and centre, with beautiful capella intro of Goble, Birtles and Shorrock and repeated 4 times in the chorus along with a great effective hook.
Such a great song about a man who continues to give his heart and loses everytime. Great reaction. Buckets of Maple Syrup love from Canada ❤️❤️ 🇨🇦🇨🇦
Really love this song by LRB. It’s a perfect example of their style and talent.
Thanks for continuing to hit these guys...they really are a great band!
Great reaction Amber and Jay! LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this song...can hear it over and over and over and over and over...great harmonies. Great band, great singers. Peace.
I love The Little River Band! They're amazing!
Worked backstage at the concert at F.S.U……really great guys…..down to earth…..Australia gave us lots of great artists….ONJ……INXS ……AC/DC…….Powderfinger…….etc
Don't forget Air Supply.
@@chrisoakley5830 I was just wondering if they've ever reacted to Air Supply.
@@carokat1111 I think they have a time or two.
Oooooh Powderfinger! That would very great reaction is enough people got behind it. "Lost and Running" one of my fav song of theirs 😊
Divinyls
Great song! These guys have an amazing sound with perfect harmonies.
Check out their Songs "THE OTHER GUY" and "HELP IS ON THE WAY"
My wife's favorite band...
LRB had some of the best harmonies you'll ever hear.
My all time favorite pop band. May have had the greatest collection of male vocalists ever in pop music....
The radio got CRANKED every time this song came on! 😎
Back in the day I coordinated shows for the Hotel I worked for. LRB came there for an "Invitation Only" concert for just a couple of hundred people. The lights came on at the same time they started with this song. They sound EXACTLY like that LIVE. ALL of their music sounds perfect live.
Great song and harmony at its best.
Not sure if you guys are aware that this is an Australian band (Lead singer is Glenn Shorrock). When he left the band, John Farnham stepped in as lead singer for a while. "Hang on help is on it's way" is one of their best songs for next time
I love this band! I've been listening to them for years and I still listen to them!
I remember hearing this song on the radio as a kid. Great memories!
You two are such an absolute joy! I simply love your channel!! And you two and your sweet, sweet family!! 😘😘
Love Little River Band! You mentioned reacting to them before, and it was no doubt "Cool Change", my fave song by them
Definitely mine too!!! My logo name is from this song!!! Have a great day 🌸
Underrated band. Had some great stuff.
I've been waiting for you guys to react to this song by the Little River Band, its definitely my favorite song by them! Early 80's gem by them!
The bass lines in their songs are great - this song is no exception!
TOOK YOU LONG ENOUGH THESE GUYS ROCK AND THIS IS THEIR BEST SONG
THEY ARE usually easy listening
He lost his head and he gambled his heart away!
You can never go wrong with this awesome band.
You haven't found an Australian act you don't like. Cold Chisel will amaze you both 🇭🇲
I loved The Little River Band, and this is probably my favorite song by them. It was a big hit on the radio back in the day.
This era is when musicians actually played instruments. They were awesome. Brings back some great memories.
These guys hit it big when I was in high school, and I still love their music.
Back in the 90's when I would throw parties and invite all the boys over, the very first time I just randomly picked Little River Band from my album collection to play. It was the greatest hits, by the end of the following week all my friends stated they bought the album and couldnt get enough of it. Such great memories!
