LRB, it's a long way there, is a real powerhouse of a song. Great instrumental lead in, and the kind of vocals you have come to expect from them. Gotta do the long version.
Yes, yes, yes...and I can not emphasize this enough... YAAAAAAASSSSSSSSSS!!! Please react to "It's A Long Way There" - 8+ minute version. You will NOT be disappointed!!! It WILL blow you away!!
It's a breezy, cool California night and I'm so enjoying these LRB reviews! One of my favorite bands, ever! Love that you appreciate a great harmony. Keep em coming, Jamal!
This is one of my all time favorite bands. They originally were an Australian band, but did a lot of their recording in LA. When the original members left, their bass guitarist, Wayne Nelson, from the U.S. has been leading LRB on tours around the country to this day. Unfortunately, the original members (shown in this video) lost their ownership rights when they left, so when they eventually got back together, they went by their last names when touring Australia.
Tom Hansen Yes it’s a disgrace. The American bassist wasn’t even an original member ......just got a good lawyer. It’s very sad for the original members, given that most bands seem to reform at some stage. They can’t call themselves LRB. The American basically has a cover band he calls the Little River Band. Without Glenn Shorrocks voice it ain’t LRB.
You Tube seriously needs a love button!!!! i adore your reactions! You feel it! LRB Greatest hits has a bunch of great tunes, such awesome harmony! I'm so glad i found your channel, makes me laugh and smile even on some really crummy days :0)
I love your reactions. It's clear that you've lived a life full of appreciating music, because you've already heard alot of the songs that you react to. Thank you for the time you take to make these videos.
When you have time I’d love to see you react to the band “The Band”. The Weight or Up On Cripple Creek would be a good start. Live or studio they’re amazing
Mike Lawson 100% especially the last waltz stuff but I’d take what I can get. Not enough people reacting to them and I want to see other people enjoy them lol
dmelanconjr definitely I could’ve gone on for a while. “The shape I’m in” “tears of rage” “it makes no difference” the last waltz version of “helpless” with Neil Young
Glen Shorrock is very playful and they never took each other too seriously. This was in a time when you had a band and everyone could play various instruments and they wrote beautiful songs and they could actually sing. Miss those days in the 70’s and 80’s. I wish music was like this today but unfortunately it is not. We were spoiled with our generation of musicians. Thanks again Jamel, alway love watching you to see your excitement at the music we grew up with snd took for granted.
@@heatherbegs I was born in July of 1960 I was just saying that my friend's dad took us to discotheque and they play that song a lot... I am a Alice Cooper, scorpions Judas priest Joe satriani and 80s hair bands fan

I am overjoyed watching you react to so much music that I love! Little River Band is a favorite since childhood. They help me smile, relax and feel better. I am sitting here with my headphones on singing with you!
I once heard The Little River Band described as 'the musicians musicians'. They are awesome. I saw Glen Sharrock singing these songs about 4 years ago, in his 70's ... and still going!
My favorite LRB song. Nice to see someone enjoying it as much as I do! That being said, if you enjoying the harmonies, no one does it like The Eagles. "Seven Bridges Road" is fantastic. The audio is recorded live so you can hear how talented they really are. "Seven Bridges Road" There are stars In the Southern sky Southward as you go There is moonlight And moss in the trees Down the Seven Bridges Road Now I have loved you like a baby Like some lonesome child And I have loved you in a tame way And I have loved you wild Sometimes there's a part of me Has to turn from here and go Running like a child from these warm stars Down the Seven Bridges Road There are stars in the Southern sky And if ever you decide You should go There is a taste of thyme sweetened honey Down the Seven Bridges Road
Now this is my Little River Band. Glenn Shorrock wrote "Cool Change"' ,"Man on You Mind" and "Help is on It's Way. Band member Graeham Goble wrote most of the other hits. John Farnham did sing the lead on their hit "The Other Guy" and Wayne Nelson sang lead on "The Night Owls". Otherwise it was always Shorrock who sang lead on all the others.
“Lonesome Loser” Another staple.
And don’t forget “The Night Owls”🦉
Love Lonesome Loser and Night Owls. Miss hearing great musicians performing music like this.
My favorite!
Oh yes! I forgot about that one!!!
Happy Anniversary is a banger, too.
Glenn Shorrock, an Australian music legend. Boy oh boy he can sing. And their melodies were insanely beautiful.
Glenn Shorrock: a voice as smooth as a good whiskey.

Hang On....Help is on way....I'll be there as fast as I can! LOL!!!
Yes! I totally forgot about The Night Owls! Lonesome Loser too!
Oh, I just thought of one I haven't heard in a MINUTE: "The Other Guy." Grown folks music.

Kathy Sandru ... Oh yeah... I remember “coffee in bed” when it came out. Loved the video. Born in 70, think I was about 10 or 11. Always reminds me of playing Donkey Kong JR at Godfathers Pizza with my friends...lol. Good times... better times.
I was in high school when this came out. Loved the LRB then, and I still do today.
"Feel for the winter but don't have a cold heart" EPIC line. This band takes me back and I like it, I like it, I like it!!
I love our walks down memory lane!
You Tube seriously needs a love button!!!! i adore your reactions! You feel it! LRB Greatest hits has a bunch of great tunes, such awesome harmony! I'm so glad i found your channel, makes me laugh and smile even on some really crummy days :0)
Man, I just can't help but go into harmony mode when I hear their music. One of my favorites of all time.
another great vid., might I suggest Lonesome Loser, it's another great song from Little River Band
Yes!!
Yesssss x100
I love your reactions. It's clear that you've lived a life full of appreciating music, because you've already heard alot of the songs that you react to. Thank you for the time you take to make these videos.
When you have time I’d love to see you react to the band “The Band”. The Weight or Up On Cripple Creek would be a good start. Live or studio they’re amazing
Oh, he'd love the Band
Mike Lawson 100% especially the last waltz stuff but I’d take what I can get. Not enough people reacting to them and I want to see other people enjoy them lol
I DM'd him like two hours ago on Instagram for Band and I mentioned last Waltz
Also pushed for CSN(Y)
😊
I’d add “The Night they drove old Dixie down” and “Ophelia”.
dmelanconjr definitely I could’ve gone on for a while.
I love your reaction when you realize you know the song was a big hit in the Disco era.. can't wait till you start reaction video to Air Supply
David Humiston so many people think the 70’s were all disco 🤔 i was born in 1960 and the 70’s were soooo diverse!!
@@heatherbegs I was born in July of 1960 I was just saying that my friend's dad took us to discotheque and they play that song a lot... I am a Alice Cooper, scorpions Judas priest Joe satriani and 80s hair bands fan
David Humiston lol, i was totally ‘soft rock’ and disco but had a boyfriend in 1974 who exposed me to Pink Floyd and Uriah Heep. I now appreciate AC/DC, Rush (as a Canadian) so I do think your taste can expand. Love how you mentioned Air Supply as that was one of my jams 🥰
@@heatherbegs those are some great bands as well growing up in the 60s 70s I learned appreciate all that music my older brother liked deep purple & CCR another brother like Fleetwood Mac younger brother like Lynyrd Skynyrd foghat ZZ top
Absolutely great as always..I grew up on everything you play...This band is so smooth..great harmony!! Thank ya!
👍 Jamel!! You’d like “ *That Smell* “ by Lynyrd Skynyrd also *Tuesdays Gone* by them 🔥🙌🎧. Thanks! Have a good one and be safe brother!! 👍🙏🙌🎧
BigPete S give me three steps is always a fun Lynard Skynard.
These...!!! and Curtis Lowe
Don't Ask Me No Questions is my favorite LS song.
The Breeze by LS, nuff said. 👍
I'm a Kiwi and we love these Aussies. On our airwaves in the 70s and 80s. Still one of my favs...even 40 years later.
yes but lady is 70s Gold
Jamel. Great job on doing Lady! Such a good tune!
Please do COOL CHANGE I play this every time i hit the water one of my favorites. You hit another rabbit hole with this group.
"LADY" (Such a FAVORITE CLASSIC!)🥰 Next up,"10 Years After", "I'd Love to Change the World",pleeeaaase?😕
I agree 10 Years After would like to see him react to Rare Earth "Get Ready"
I’d love to change the world.....definitely
@@Bg-yu3od "so I'll leave it up to you-hoo-hoo-oooo..."😉🤙
'I'm going home' Live at Woodstock version.
The Moonlight skate 😊
I lost my brother in 2019 and he loved this song. Makes me cry now but, I still listen and love it.
I was a teen when this came out. For years I thought it was a Billy Joel song...
It sounded so.... Billy Joel... but after you collect everything BJ made.. You go into the
record.. (yes records!) shop and find out it's LRB. So bought most of their stuff too.
I am overjoyed watching you react to so much music that I love! Little River Band is a favorite since childhood. They help me smile, relax and feel better. I am sitting here with my headphones on singing with you!
Beautiful song. Such an underrated band. Lonesome Loser: my life.
Love your genuine and heartfelt reactions Jamel...fantastic!
It's a long way there is the best song you'll love it
I agree.
@@stevenhendrix2004 Most definitely
I AGREE, one of their best!!!!!
I agree with you. The long version is amazing.
Incredible guitar in that
Their greatest hits is awesome, listen to it often.
LOVING THE LRB reactions. Lonesome Loser, Help is in the Way, Night Owls, It’s a Long Way There are other staples.
The other guy needs to be on that list as well 🤗
I once heard The Little River Band described as 'the musicians musicians'. They are awesome. I saw Glen Sharrock singing these songs about 4 years ago, in his 70's ... and still going!
“Freaky deeky,” Hilarious! 🤣😂🤣😂
What a joy to watch you loving music, any music. You would lift the spirits of any group of people your with.
Love seeing your reaction when you realize you know the song.
My favorite LRB song. Nice to see someone enjoying it as much as I do!
That being said, if you enjoying the harmonies, no one does it like The Eagles. "Seven Bridges Road" is fantastic. The audio is recorded live so you can hear how talented they really are.
"Seven Bridges Road"
There are stars
In the Southern sky
Southward as you go
There is moonlight
And moss in the trees
Down the Seven Bridges Road
Now I have loved you like a baby
Like some lonesome child
And I have loved you in a tame way
And I have loved you wild
Sometimes there's a part of me
Has to turn from here and go
Running like a child from these warm stars
Down the Seven Bridges Road
There are stars in the Southern sky
And if ever you decide
You should go
There is a taste of thyme sweetened honey
Down the Seven Bridges Road
Now this is my Little River Band. Glenn Shorrock wrote "Cool Change"' ,"Man on You Mind" and "Help is on It's Way. Band member Graeham Goble wrote most of the other hits. John Farnham did sing the lead on their hit "The Other Guy" and Wayne Nelson sang lead on "The Night Owls". Otherwise it was always Shorrock who sang lead on all the others.
I shared this on "The Original Little River Band" FB page. Most of the original band are members. They'll love it...no doubt.
