That's sick AF dude. This must be one of the fastest non tuned m340i in Thailand. I'm looking for one pre LCI like yours. If I don't care about locked ECU, I can go with any model year right?
Do you notice any faster shift? What is the biggest difference you notice? I got my X4 M40i stage 2 tuned with MHD, and I m thinking about getting XHP tune next
The car is noticeably faster for the first few gears(1>2>3) as it removes the torque limiter of the trans (not of the engine). Also, on both 1st & 2nd gear, you can actually do the DSC OFF brake boost Launch (Beside LC, stock TCU keeps pushing the car forward thus the rev is nowhere close to 3krpm). All shifts take shorter time you can just hear the difference!
@@timekulp2666 Wonderful that sounds good! I pull the trigger yesterday on getting the XHP, only to find out that I my wifi MHD adapter is no compatible and I have to get the MHD universal adapter. But yeah I know exactly what you are talking about with the car being pushed forward, after stage 2 the LC will no longer work properly, the car is not able to hold the power I guess lol, brake boost is basically LC from mine understanding so I guess I can always use that.
@@Coolman2527 yeah I also had trouble with the initial flashing as well (those adapters are required for only the first time then you can use any adapter for later flashes) anyways its good that brakeboost doesnt feel unhealthy anymore!
I had been on the stage 2 for only a short while so I can't really tell. Besides the details shown in the app however, I was told they're about the same with stage 3 having more custom options to play with. (I'm on stock w/ custom feature most of the time and on stage3 when the weather is good for dragy run)
I am thinking of running an XHP3 with a 400cell DP plus a piggyback tune - is that combination a bad idea for the engine/peripherals, or will I be good?
you wont get CEL on a proper 200+cell DP. Regarding piggyback however, it can be either kinda fine or down bad if timing or fuel thingy is off(from the req.) for too often, which you'll likely know after the deed was done @@tighesimon
I have it at stage2 OTS with "use stock shiftmaps." When it comes to rolling however, I think what really matter are DA and IAT. with those and the right ethanol mixed fuel I get around 9.4-5s 100-200 avg.
Really surprised how much more top end you got, must be from the DP. My bone stock 2020 x-drive did 0-60 in 3.8 and 12.07@113. I have a AA DP going on in a few weeks. Hoping for that 11.9x pass.
could be, mine did 12.00 as stock too! Although catless DP (on stock tune) doesn't make a difference in HP, it does increase the torque range to higher RPM, which helps!
POST MORE planning on getting a m240i 2022 xdrive and ima run something like this maybe not the catless downpipe until i get the tune so i can keep warranty
FYI the only thing catless dp will do is giving u the CEL and nothing else, you can just reset it anytime using bimmerlink, xhp, etc. or even with updating the software (in case you swap the stock dp in for warranty claim) (yes, I'm aware of boost spike during gear change and no I don't think it's that harmful)
Yes it does, but you may want to mess with torque reduction or other custom features (on top of OTS map) which can be risky of transmission wear if adjusted too much
I drive with CEL on all the time. It doesn't bother me though. And if some major things were to fail, it would pop up as either drivetrain or chassis anyways

@@vtv4373 yes! In fact, only the first batch(20 or so cars) comes with tunable ECU.
@@timekulp2666Thanks for the info mate.
really appreciate this run, my DME is locked and I'm looking to get the most out of it without sending it off.

fast as hell for a stock ecu tune, already in the 11s, dont really need much more than that
cheers mate!
do you recommend going straight to stage 3 instead of 2? I'm getting xhp for my 23 m240i and was planning on doing stage 2 to play it safe.

What is your setup in custom launch control in xhp? And how did you doing 9.2 100-200? My best is 9.7 with dragmod

@@ericferguson4114 yeah average hp must be higher, congrats!
Is the check engine light on because of the downpipe, or is there some issue with flashing the new TCU's?
Purely because of the catless downpipe. I think if TCU it would appear as drivetrain instead

Hey, did you compare your exact same run without the xhp flash tune? What were your times without it?
my 60ft time is 0.05s quicker(from1.75 solid to 1.70 with a lil bit of tyre spin) with xhp st2 now running 3.78s 0-100
@@timekulp2666st2 is better then st3 😳
Is the ecu really untunable? I’ve seen stage 2 maps from a few tuners in Malaysia. Catless with a stage 2 tune gets about 500bhp
It is tunable but only after having the ECU unlocked, which cannot be done remotely and it costs a lot to do so.
Does this make the 21' model shift fart? My shifts are so plain on the 2021.
Yes it does, but you may want to mess with torque reduction or other custom features (on top of OTS map) which can be risky of transmission wear if adjusted too much
I ran a 3.98 on my bone stock 2020 M340i while the ground was wet too how did you manage to get that slow
my shared record is 3.78s 0-100 and 11.68 1/4 mile on a better road/tyre but I didnt take the vid so this is it lol.
Its not slow for just with xhp tune 👊
all year hot-humid weather can be troublesome too lol@@gggthaqi8043
So no jb4 used in this run?
Nope, no JB4, Rapid or whatsoever for the engine/power
What is DME locked, is it encrypted and you can't tune it?
yeah it's exactly what u said!(mid 2021MY onwards) The only solution for now is to send the physical ECU to Finland for FEMTO unlock.
What is exhaust set up
VRSF catless dp and Mperformance muffler!
@@timekulp2666Thank you
So still has the stock resonators?
oh nope my car didn't come with resonator to begin with haha (not in the US) @@B58J
does the one in canada have one ?
@@timekulp2666
You don't need DME unlocked for xHP? What does it even do?
Yeah since xHP is just the transmission tune so you can just flash it right away
0-200?
my record says 13.35 for this setup (different date though)
Not stock with that 100-200 time
it has catless dp and air filter if that's what you mean. ecu tune wise it's still factory locked
I have m340i 2021 locled ecu : EU model with OPF …
Hav Can you install downpipe without fetring engine error ?
Thanks
