I remember back when I had a 96 viper gts. With smooth tubes n drop in kn filters, I ran traction limited 12.2s at 125. Unbelievable that you can buy a family car and run tunes and turn these kinda times nowadays. We are all very very spoiled.

He wasn’t on high boost either. He was at 21 or 22 psi peak. He should be like at 25/26. He will be back for a 10 second pass 😎

@@shelbyhaiketic4212 if you have Instagram. Look up Anotherg20. It's his car and he will be able to give you much better technical stats. But my guess yes you should be under 3 seconds with x drive on a custom e50 tune.

Those M340i's are fast AF !!! What the hell was in that BMW on the right ? It launched like a Porsche 911 Turbo S
It launched b4 the m340i. If you look at the time slips at the end it traps faster but it's not quicker as you compare the ET's 😇
It is because bmw put LSDs standard in the m340s hence why they can launch so hard

What would it take for a gen 1 340 to run this? Upgraded turbo?
downpipe fuel pump custom tune could very well do 11.1 on stock turbo
@@TheRandomnessChannel yea mid 11 is pretty common for e50, low 12s on pump gas I think
@@codskilclanchannel6420 on 93 fbo 340 will do mid to high 11’s. A solid e50 tune will go very low 11’s and possibly crack very high 10’s. My gen 1 340 xdrive on e40 did 11.16

It didn’t, look at the times the m340i was quicker off the line m4 was only faster at the end m4 just launched before it
So fast, but that m4 was beyond fast like wtf
it ran the same time approx if you looked at the slips. Actually, it won if going by 1/4 mile time. The M340 waited for dragy to be ready before launching.
Prolly 2 years late, but not how the dragy works. It just records and overlays the count down graphics in post. There's no waiting for it to be ready@@M340B58

How much whp are you making?
Dp + e50 makes approx 490-520 whp depending if it's an awd or rwd and OTS vs Custom tuned. They make 550-600 ft lbs of tq too. Can go higher but the trans is limited, especially without the xhp stage 3 trans flash

I don't know the answer to that. Maybe the owner does. But he also makes 600 tq. And this is power to the wheels the 500hp and 600 tq

Why not?
Because the 340 needs a minimum amount of mods to run those numbers and I’ll end up spending thousands and still won’t achieve that time

@@M340B58 Well car for car, the M4 was faster lol, but reaction times etc the 340i was quicker. If you gave that M4 a run on the streets the M4 would win easily lol

I'm 3.61 to 60 in a stage 2 Golf R
I'm 2.9 0-100km/h in my m340I with stage 2 e50, 0-60 I'm 2.81 and I can get quicker, waiting for my big turbo to come
Getting tired of seeing automatics times.... no fun in that.... manual for life! Anyone can get that time in the exact same car with no driving experience. So damn lame

@@paulhernandez5529 You ll never run that fast in a manual.You ll need a car with much more power to make it up at the top end .No manual running 0 to 60 mph in low 3 seconds.
Modern automatics and DCT gear boxes can outperform its manual counterpart. These days manuals are for pure driving pleasure and engagement.
With that being said, my daily is a manual and my track focused car is a DCT.
