I think the aerodynamics matter more. The redeye has the same drag coefficient as a chevy Tahoe, the bmw has the same as a c6 corvette

This just goes to show man you can't underestimate a car simply because of its weight. Despite the BMW being rather far from stock the Redeye still held its own without even an intake, exhaust, or an ounce of weight removed from it. Pretty impressive if you ask me.

Bro the hellcat red eye starts around $90,000 the M340 starts around $58,000 and if you actually build some internals on the b58 you can easily make 1000hp now THAT is impressive. There’s plenty of Supra guys making 1000whp with the b58 already.

V8s are a different purpose imo nowadays, you buy them for the feel, the emotions. I wouldn't buy a N/A V8 or supercharged V8 for pure performance, thats where turbocharged engines are perfect.

I didn't know Redeyes come from the factory with intakes thats pretty cool..crazy but those last races were so close to the point I think that weight reduction actually helped a little...Can't beat BMWs for power per dollar mod wise...red eyes aren't that expensive for the performance they provide so can't go wrong with either or

@@quix99 But watch the race. That Redeye weighs just a bit under 4,500 and despite being COMPLETELY stock it still kept up with a rather modified beamer. All the Challenger needed (Like any modern Hemi) was an intake, exhaust, and smaller pulley and he would have been walking on the BMW all day long.

I’m right there with you….just insane how quick cars are today, but you have to pay a lot for it. I feel the best bang for the buck is a coyote 5.0 mustang, spend an extra $4000 for a supercharger and for around $45,000 you’ve got a pretty quick car with 600+ hp.
@@stevepick9527 6.4 hemi can only take 7 pounds boost which is mot worth spending the money for a super charger or something on didn’t think about that when I bought it 485 hp sounded great for 43k but to go 100 more hp you have to replace bottom end of motor you don’t have to do that with chevy if ford so im at at a point where i sell it or have to put a crapload of money in it.
