You remember the how in the Caco Mallow leak, Ken’s Shoryuken damage was slightly off etc? It’s worth checking if that damage change lines up in the patch with Min Min.

That leak is still strange, in my opinion, mainly because whoever was behind it thought that by putting Ken in doing that taunt that it would automatically be considered real owing to the Ken "leak" being real. But then there was actual video footage of this "leak" in action. Very strange, really.

The reason Sakurai brought up Ganondorf and Zelda when discussing amiibos is because Ganondorf and Zelda have drastically different designs in Ultimate than they did in Smash 4, and they don’t have amiibos that represent their new designs (Ultimate Link is based on BotW Link, which technically has an amiibo already). None of the other Ultimate fighters had their designs as drastically changed from Smash 4 as the main three Zelda characters.

Someone we definitely shouldn’t forget about is Ryu Hayabusa. He was all the talk for Fighter Pass 5, and I don’t think we’ve seen anything that blocks him out yet. Certainly nothing to help him as of late, but he certainly isn’t out of the race.
Personally I think Ryza is more likely in terms of a Koei Techmo rep but I wouldn't fully count out Ryu either

As I predicted, the spirit board mixes in the old ARMS spirits with new ones for the sake of completion. This is cool as it means that if you have the DLC you can get any old ARMS spirits you missed at any time without hassle.
My fear of Geno coming back as a mii costume is very high atm. But I won’t give up until it’s definitely over. Many thought Banjo was impossible, and we see how that turned out

Banjo in smash cause Microsoft wanted him in the game. If Microsoft didn't want him in smash then he still be mia. Square don't want geno on the main roster cause they prefer other characters they made own over him. Nintendo can't put a character in smash unless them and the developers both agree on who gets in. Square and Nintendo decided on hero so that it for square.

And unlike Geno Nintendo would have a reason to re-evaluate Shantae as a fighter between them deciding on the base game and Fighters Pass 1 in 2015 to whenever Fighters Pass 2 was decided

I don't think he will ever take a break. The guy LOVES video games, and clearly has a lot of fun doing what he's doing. It's his passion, it's not like he's being forced to do this. Furthermore, he probably has vacation time and the ability to use it whenever he wants.

(Dixie Kong and Jeanne) Well, not sure if Dixie can have a proper moveset or not, but, Jeanne literally is an echo fighter in her own games. She actually just has Bayo's moveset, but, with a stricter window of activation for Witch Time.

And look i know you all people who will complain to people like me saying "its still a fanmade rule", but we still dont know if the Spirits get premoted thing will still offically break the so called "fan made rule" you people speak of, and look i wanted Bandanna Waddle Dee to be playable myself also since hes one of the 4 major Kirby characters since Return to Dreamland, but we really need to wait until the next character will reveal if its a spirit upgrade or a brand new character that has not been used in Smash Bros history like Byleth.

My definition for a Deluxe Mii Costume is: Covers the Mii's face to focus more on presenting a character rather than a Mii resembling a character, and has a "trailer", by which I mean the trailer is partially in engine, but requires significant doctoring of the footage besides cutting and splicing clips with music in the background. With Cuphead and Vault Boy it's more obvious, the storybook and S.M.A.S.H. Card overlay screenshots and footage of Cuphead and Vault Boy respectively. With Sans, it's more subtle, they had to change the "Now Entering A:" to read "Sans" instead of "Mii Gunner", they turned the background black, inverted the colors of the pictochat stage, and got a head-on shot of Sans with Sakurai's dev camera. Thank you for coming to my TED Talk.
It also helps if they have music, are an indie character, or come from an unrepresented publisher, but I don't believe any of those attributes are required.

The difference between Rex and Min Min is that Min Min was not sold as an additional Mii costume as DLC.
Considering they bundled that Rex costume as the DLC bonus with the first fighters pass, and also how Nintendo have moved on from Xenoblade 2, to Xenoblade DE I would say that Rex is very very unlikely.
It’s a shame we didn’t get Rex this game, maybe next game. I say this because Byleth contradicts their statement on Xenoblade 2 “being too late in development” to include him. Three houses was and is still not even a year old yet. Byleth is literally the Youngest character in Smash coming from a 2019 game.
I've never played Xenoblade 2, but what if they make Mythra/Pyra her own character then?
I don't really see either of these as valid reasons for Rex to not be in. The only reason he was put in as a mii costume was because they knew people wanted him in smash and they simply couldn't put him in due to time constraints. If anything, I think the costume gives him a better chance because they know people want him in. Beyond that, smash doesn't always pick characters from the most recent series entry. At the time of Ultimate's release, FE Echoes was the most recent FE game coming out in 2017. Yet they still added Chrom in from FE Awakening which came out in 2012-2013
I'm surprised Xenoblade didn't get another representative. Since Nintendo has moved on to Xenoblade DE, I would think they would add Fiora, since she is a major character in the game (Heck, she was a playable character in Project X Zone 2, not Shulk.)
All that said, XCDE is already represented with Shulk. XCDE is very likely to boost sales of XC2, especially given how important XC2 is to explaining XC1, so Rex and Pyra/Mythra are still very likely.
I personally love zelda but i dont want another repeat character from zelda like another zelda when we got soo many other possibilities from zelda they could use
I hate how we have 3 links and they all are clones. Like younglink should be from MM and have things from that game. Having the gilded sword and mirror shield would be nice too. He could use masks and shit but nope Just link again. Wish we could get someone like ghirahim or zant

No other characters outside of the main three would sell as a dlc. Anyone who think any character outside those three is popular is lying to themselves.
@@jage6344 Do you play Zelda games? Link from MM is the same one from OOT. Toon link from WW and hourglass and adult link is from breath of the wild. They are different links from different time lines not clones. Him, Zelda and ganon are the only characters that matter in the zelda franchise. Side characters don't matter nor are popular. You can hate it all you want that just the way things are.

Lloyd can’t get the “deluxe” Mii treatment, because he has a human face that won’t work as a mask.

Costumes not returning yet shouldnt be made into a big deal. We just got heihachi for example. We keep getting smash 4 costumes soon 2 years in. Sorry, but geno and lloyd will come like they did in smash 4.
My personal ideal Fighter's Pass Vol. 2 (It's not meant to be realistic whatsoever, it's just who I would love to see personally be part of this pass):
1. Min Min
2. Sora
3. Neptune (Hyperdimension Neptunia)
4. Crash Bandicoot
5. Doomguy
6. Steve (Minecraft)
I personally don't want Steve to be in and would prefer he just be a Mii costume, but it's a trade I would GLADLY take if it means Neptune gets in she's my most wanted character

I've commented on so many of your videos PapaGenos but my comments seem to never change, every time we get something new for Smash Brothers (Bamco related or not) Lloyds chances of being in only get better. As iv said in most videos you have made speaking about Lloyd i truly think this is his time. Please let it happen! We have waited so long!
Lloyd is to tales what cloud is to final fantasy. I don't see any other Namco character working as dlc.
Two things
1. Then talking about Cuphead Spirit, he did say that about future Mii Fighter Costumes and not future DLC fighters, which could point toward characters like Geno getting a Mii Fighter Costume.
2. Dovahkiin from The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim could also very well happen. Nintendo loves Skyrim. It was shown in the Nintendo Switch reveal trailer and was a big inspiration for Breath of the Wild.

I’m really not expecting a third pass. Not only do we have more new characters then smash 4 and as many as Brawl not counting echoes but also the dlc for smash is $55 right now. I don’t think Nintendo wants the story of smash to be “it’s a $60 game with $70-$80 DLC.” Especially because smash bros doesn’t go on sale and there’s no smash bros ultimate ultimate edition that gives you the dlc bundled in.
By the way you showed a graphic of all the smash 4 dlc mii fighters and Tails is unchecked. That isn’t true the costume came back with Joker.

I only got xenoblade 2 the day after I got smash bros ultimate a couple years ago so I didn't have a connection to him at the time.
2 years later and I've beaten the game twice, started another playthrough and am currently playing definitive edition.
God I hope we get Rex.
Another thing to add to the AT discussion that I don't think gets brought up very often. Ultimate already has a feature that disables certain ATs on certain stages, as well as certain bg elements not appearing depending on who is fighting in the match.
For example, Moon on Great Bay, Knuckles on Green Hill, Klaptrap on Kongo Falls/Jungle Japes. They are already bg elements on those stages, so their AT appearance is disabled, and there are several more examples of certain AT + stage combinations being disabled. Dedede and Toon Link also disappear from the background of Dream Land and Spirit Train if they are fighting.
This further hurts the AT argument because it shows that they could just disable the AT if that character is already in the match.
This reminds me of early speculation. PapaGenos going back to his roots! (Ive been subbed around 5k ish)
I know many people won't care but I think people are really sleeping on a Bravely Default character potentially getting added. Keep in mind that Bravely Default 2 was the only thing Nintendo announced at the game awards and even had some decent time dedicated to it in the direct. Its obvious that Nintendo and Square wanna draw attention to this game especially sense its suppose to come out this year.
I'll welcome the rep with open arms. The game has great music and references FF: Four Heroes of Light.
A Bravely character is imo the most likely pick from Square, then Neku because of the anime, he'd probably top them if they actually announced TWEWY2

That joke at the end about Sakurai's couch legitimately gave me a good laugh.
I truly believing that Cacomallow leak at this point, the deal breaker is how clean the textures of the costumes are. I've seen videos of modded Mii costumes, even of mallow, but you can tell that the textures are lower quality. The modders themselves said that textures are the hard part.
The fact that a low quality video shows pretty crispy textures on those Mii hats convince me they are the real deal. Geno will be fighter 7, Doomguy will be fighter 8 or later. And do you know how easy it is to lie in an interview, let alone an interview we only have TEXT from? Doomguy is totally coming, I have hope.

1). His team doesn't know at all about doom guys chances since Bethesda are the higher ups and would be the ones working on that with Nintendo

"Assist Trophies are not playable fighters" is not a fan rule. Sakurai himself said this very thing, almost verbatim, on Miiverse back in the Smash 4 days. The amount of people who overlook this is almost scary.
Min Min's reveal did a number on increasing my hopes for several Spirit only characters, so my support for Shantae and Rayman has grown a bit as well. And I'll hope that Geno gets justice for his treatment in Smash too, hopefully as a fighter or a Deluxe Mii Costume at least.

Hoo boy, the fact Spirits don't deconfirm, the Cacomallow leak still holds up, and Vault Boy has shown us that Nintendo and Bethesda have spoke about Smash could all be hinting that both Geno and Doom Guy could hopefully join the roster. Lets hope our puppet boy will finally return in Smash Bros 🤞
Yeah remember they lied about Banjo? Well they lied about Doom Slayer too, I mean come on Doom comes to switch around november 22nd, plus doom is getting major DLC too. An given the release time frame the 3rd character in the past is gonna be Crash or Doom Slayer, most likely Doom Slayer because of Nintendo History.

People are gonna get greedy and selfish regardless my friend. They’re gonna feel entitled. Even if this fighters pass was mostly amazing and filled with characters that people absolutely adored, they’re still gonna complain because “There’s no Crash! There’s no Rayman! There’s no Dante or Sora! We demand more!”
Smash community needs to understand that this game is already a full package. We already got so much it looks beautiful. Bugging Sakurai and Nintendo for more would make us look ungrateful.
And THAT is EXACTLY my number one reason going around and talking big shit to them! Because they'll never shut the fuck up about Smash! And with a Spirit-turned-fighter, it's almost certain that fans are going to constantly complain long after Fighter's Pass Vol. 2. They'll demand hundreds of Spirits to become fighters and they'll never leave Nintendo and Sakurai alone, and they'll never EVER be satisfied. The Smash community is mostly ungrateful and overly zealous and much worse than they could make a guy like me out to be. I do not demand. I do not threaten. I simply stand up for Nintendo and Sakurai because they do NOT deserve ungrateful fans breathing down their backs until they get what they want. And even if they do, they won't be satisfied, as Sakurai puts it. They'll just want more, allowing their avarice to consume them.
Smash Ultimate is already ultimate and you're right, JC. We have so much already. The one thing I'll ask for is for Mr. Sakurai to take a well-deserved break and stop working on Ultimate after this is over.

Regarding Rex's Mii Costume, I don't think it means anything against him getting in. That costume was made as a conselation for not being able to get him in the base game. As such, it's very likely that the costume was made before they had even considered a second Fighter Pass. This would be similar to how all of the ARMS content we got in the base game, more specifically Spring Man as an Assist Trophy, was added because they couldn't include an ARMS character at the time, but now we have Min Min.
Both ARMS and Xenoblade 2 had two Mii Fighter outfits before this next update, too (Spring Man & Ribbon Girl, Rex & Nia).
The biggest difference between the two is that Xenoblade 2 has 3 music tracks, while ARMS suspiciously had none.
Speculation is indeed widened once more, but if Geno ends up as a playable fighter, you can bet I'll check your reaction video to that. It'll be worth the price of admission to see you go wild with joy!
