This happens in Mario galaxy I believe. There’s a model of a mushroom in the code that if removed causes the game to just not work at all.
Is anyone else getting the dlc blues? By this I mean, I’m feeling a bit down about the dlc coming to an end for Ultimate (most likely). I’m gonna miss the roller coaster that is character speculation. If I had to make an analogy, it’s like ripping through presents on Christmas, and you’re down to the last two wrapped boxes

The Sephiroth memes were some of the most fun I have with Smash in a while bc there wasn't idiots bullying fans like with Pyra and Mythra or being sexist a woman say that she didn't like the sexualization of the characters. The explanation of Ryu being connected to the projectile glitch via the headband is one of the biggest stretches I've ever heard, the person who came up with that idea should be a character in ARMS 2 if it ever happens, Jeez.
Wouldnt this character be too OP in ARMS 2 with that amount of stretching?
The bow idea makes sense, the headband one, not so much.
Almost as much of a stretch as thinking Reimu has a chance at getting in the game in any way, shape or form.

The Rated D thing is actually common for games with a lot of blood. No More Heroes also had separate Z and D versions of the game. It's because Z games can't be sold in every store while D games can.

i personally think the projectile glitch is from foresight being added as a mechanic. When activated, it works on projectiles even from a distance and allows you to foresight it and run up and punish the projectile user. and Mythra herself has alot of weird invincibility moves and such. I truly do hope Lloyd would get in. it would be the best day of my life lmao.
I'd rather he not get in because Sakurai would get an ENORMOUS amount of hate, more than probably every character hes ever added combined. Not saying he wouldn't be cool, just that I don't want Smash to end on note that makes a a fuck ton of people extremely upset with Sakurai.
@@MatthewCJoy smash 4 ended with corrin, base smash ult ended with incineroar and ken and fp 1 ended with byleth. In the entire history of character ends since DLC started, it has always been a character that makes people upset. So if anything, that adds to his chances lol. Joking(partially) aside, they never have ended anything with a massive 3rd party character. Unless you count Bayo as massive, because her and corrin came in the same wave.
Suggestion here. When the fighter pass ends, you should make a video talking about the theories that turned out to be true regarding Smash Ultimate.
That’d be a legitimately great idea!

About Reimu, note too that in the Touhou FGs you can dash forward to "Graze" through projectiles. The grazing may be based off of that rather than her having a tiny hurtbox in the mainline shmup games.

I personally never believed Concert Leak even before the Pyra/Mythra presentation, there were just to many holes for it to be true, and it didn’t even predict Pyra/Mythra, just the franchise they’re from getting another character

@@culturalist In the leak, it was listed as "Counterattack - Xenoblade Chronicles 2". In the actual game (Smash, that is), it's titled simply "Counterattack". Every song in the Concert Leak is listed EXACTLY like they are titled in Ultimate (even when unnecessary), so that's something the leak got wrong (it assumed the new XB2 tracks would be titled similarly to the three XB2 songs already in the game, but NONE OF THEM did).
It's subtle, but it's damaging when you notice that.

About the Cero D version of Ninja Gaiden, other Japanese games have got the same thing, like Resident Evil 7. They do it to help the game sell better. It has nothing to do with Nintendo or Smash

This is true. CERO Z games can't be advertised in shops or presented on store shelves, you have to specifically ask for them.
This doesn't help for sales, so a lot of games will realise a more toned down CERO D version.
To clarify. Ninja Gaiden Version D is only being sold on the Nintendo switch Japan e shop. The original version of the game is still going to be released in Japan and the original version is also gonna be on switch.
Version D is not going to be on Playstation or Xbox
About Ninja Gaiden possibly getting a D-rated version and a Z-rated version: this could possibly also stem from Sony censoring games in Japan for their Playstation systems. This extra age rating layer is often incorporated by Sony on some of the more lewd games, and is something Sony is infamous of doing compared to Nintendo or Microsoft, who do not do that stuff.

About the dark pit glitch, that glitch has been in the game even before patch 11. I main both pits so that’s how I found it. The glitch occurs if you get hit just as you fire the arrow

I would say to some extent he kinda was rejected because he was a Mii costume. Like if technical limitations stopped Rex and Pyra, why didn’t he just go for Rex alone instead. The fact that he went for Pyra and Mythra instead I think maybe shows that Sakurai was thinking “Oh he already has a Mii costume, so we’ll go with Pyra (and Mythra) instead”

The projectile glitch could also be some sort of penetration mechanic like the Sniper Rifle from Halo or the Super Shotgun or Heavy Cannon from Doom.
I never thought about the Needler being tied to Dark Pit's bow, but it could make a lot of sense. On top of the other things you mentioned, another interesting property of the Needler is that the needles fired from the gun can home in on enemies. It's possible they're use the steerable arrows of DP's bow to build the lock-on needles for Chief's Needler. Projectiles acting funky on hitboxes might also tie into Chief's projectiles, as some projectile weapons in Halo do more or less damage depending on where you hit your target at, notably some weapons deal extra damage with headshots over bodyshots.
Chosen Undead would fairly fit the Dark Pit glitch, one of the first spells you can get in Dark Souls is the Soul Arrow spell, which auto-homes in on targets similar to Dark Pits arrows.
It’s a stretch, but for the other arrow glitch, Chosen Undead could potentially have a “parry/blocking” mechanic that could allow them to hold their shield up whilst running forward, blocking any attacks heading towards them while doing so. This is actually something the tutorial in Dark Souls teaches in the starting area of the game. So it would fit as well.

I feel like Crash could fit the projectile glitch thing very well with his tornado move. I feel like a dash is the perfect way to include that move, making him impervious to projectiles while in that form.

The only thing having me think Decidueye isn’t gonna be a character is that unlike the ARMS and XENOBLADE CHRONICLES 2 franchises, they didn’t get a playable rep in base game unlike Pokémon because we got Incineroar.

Can we PLEASE talk about the representation of UNDERTALE in Smash Bros? How does Cuphead have spirits and UNDERTALE only has a music track and a Mii fighter, Undertale needs no introdution, its a massive game, especially in the East. I think that it is VERY strange that we don't have as much UNDERTALE representation as we probably should.

I've always thought Lloyd would make it in just because incineroar has a move that is similar to Lloyd's rising Phoenix, idk but when I saw zero suit samus with heels i knew Bayonetta would be in as well...Just a hunch though.
I had the exact same thought when those 2 Nintendo House employees were showing off Incineroar. (Crosschop being the move) I found it really depressing at the time. Dark Pit's up taunt is very similar to Lloyd's Ex skill taunt as well. Which is interesting that Dark Pit has the visual glitch.
Not to mention the goldmine that would be a Tales of song list.

She is being talked about a lot in speculation because of a leak back in 2019 which leaked her the leak was fake but it got a lot of people talking about her

Decidueye could also fit for the steerable arrows glitch since it's signature move is Spirit Shackle, where the animation shows an arrow being controlled(?)
Either way, the arrow still doesn't follow a regular trajectory
I have a tiny bit of hope for Decidueye but I really have to keep my expectations even lower than that. But, If Decidueye gets in he will automatically be my main. and I might even consider using him...In online...

18:06 The thing with this is that Sakurai films these videos months in advance. Concert leak was around for a little bit, but it wasn’t really discussed until after Pyra/Mythra were announced anyway. So I’m not sure they would have had time to orchestrate this ruse in my opinion.

Nice briefing of the projectile graze glitch, but what you missed is that there IS a mechanic in the Touhou fighting games where you can graze bullets if you dash forward as an actual mechanic, much like how the glitch in Smash works

Hey Papa! I've been looking over old leaks, and noticed one that's based on a Pastebin leaks of a load of stuff at once, and a lot that came true, notably Arthur. (Think it's on reddit) That talked about Banjo-Kazooie remakes.
And in December 2020, Gregg Mayles, a head dev at Rare, tweeted asking "What will happen to the bear and bird next year?"
Along with a tonne of new Banjo-Kazooie merch coming out... what do you think?

Just when I was asking myself when UA-cam would recommend me a new, fat 30+ video... Papagenos came in clutch!
The weird head hurtboxes glitch could also relate to a new "headshot" mechanic on a character like Master Chief. That's a pivotal gameplay element of basically any shooter, so it would make sense to give extra damage to his gun moves that connect with an opponent's head
Either we have a projectile character coming or it has something to do with Mythra's Foresight.
Just a thought: If Crash Bandicoot is going to get added, which I hope he does, maybe there would be some kind of glitch with Incineroar? Both characters have similarish builds, and Incineroar has a spin-attack and groundpound that would likely be used in Crash's moveset. Just a thought though, I'm not an expert.
Also, I'm glad that Rex was at least attempted, but if they were having trouble implementing him and Pyra, then they would NOT have wanted to hear my suggestion for how he could've worked! Basically, I thought he could've switched between three blades during battle, because he gets two other unique blades in the story of Xenoblade 2, and would essentially be a three in one character. BUT, those other two blades are pretty major spoilers, and that would've been even harder to program for, so it's best that they didn't go that route. Regardless, I'm so happy that Xenoblade 2 got more representation in Smash Bros!
You know when you mentioned the arrow glitch and the association with Decidueye, another grass Pokémon came to my mind: Rillaboom uses a drum as its main weapon and it keeps it on its back.

8:50 also take into consideration that even if you made Miis, the fighter screen will be fully squared off in the end if you stacked the echo fighters and Miis. No need to ignore making any Miis to get a squared off select screen

Assists and miis, they probably don’t necessarily “deconfirm” but I feel in other words they simply just won’t happen.
Depends on how far they thought about the DLC. If the DLC was being considered during development of the base game that would put a massive damper on their future inclusion. Sense they would have already decided what characters they would add and they still decided to make them assist trophies and purchasable Mii costumes.

Also this is a stretch but Lloyd shares a lot of similarities to sol badguy, wearing red,brown spiked hair, sword wielders. Not trying to give myself false hope but he would be a perfect mii to release alongside sol.

Figure theory is too broad to really be useful. Almost every recognizable video game character that could be added to Smash has some kind of figure or statue or something.
If Sakurai said something like "I usually buy a figure for every character, but one future character doesn't have one that I am able to purchase". Now THAT would be worth a theory of trying to figure out who Sakurai decided to add to Smash that doesn't have an official figure.

If I have to guess the new glitch theory, I'd like to say that It could fit with Crash giving him Aku Aku in his dash attack and he gains some invulnerability frames there

So I've had this theory that Crash will start with 3 aku akus and lose one every time he's hit. He can gain one by getting kills or dying. When Aku Aku is struck, Crash armors the hit and goes invincible for 2 seconds.
Hey Papa, A thought just came too me while watching the video, do you think it could possible we could get a new Mii Fighter? not just a costume but an entire new Mii fighting style, such as Dual Blades to bring in the Lloyd Mii costume with a brand new more accurate fighting style for him

I'm thinking e3 will be our last big reveal. It seems like the last character of dlc is usually less hype than what preceeded it. Who knows though? It's been a wild ride and I'm glad Sakurai and Sora have put in so much care to both passes.
The E3 reveals don't necessarily need to be big characters. Min Min was essentially the E3 reveal last year, and going back to Smash 4 we had Roy and Palutena.
Tales of arise is also getting new info this spring. Lloyd for smash!

I heard that one of the leakers named Archer has said the final two would be Dante and Arthur Morgan from RDR2. Archer was the leaker who correctly predicted Sephiroth at the game Awards, and the Capcom Mii Costumes could be support futher his statement of Dante. Might be a cool episode to explore if this rumor is true.

Those blank spots are probably used for the fighter select menu to ensure it scales correctly with more or less slots.

I was actually thinking of a headshot mechanic in smash for Master Chief in Smash just the other day. My tinfoil hat theory is that the new head hurt box glitch is of that mechanic. Also the dark pit arrow glitch made me think first think of the halo sticky plasma grenades. Also the halo needlers and plasma pistol full charge also have tracking on them so that could also be some thing.
