I never believed the grinch leak because it was too contradictory to what people actually heard regarding who would be in the game. But as soon as we knew the reveal would be October 5th I knew sora leak was real
I like to think that Sora's Codename "Trail" was meant to represent the long journey or trail it has been to get to the final character of Smash Ultimate.
Sora is called trail because he's connected to everyone. His heart creates chains of memories which allow him to go into people's hearts. As for what you can do next, amiibo speculation. Try to figure out which games will have amiibos? When will the amiibos come out?

To me, the Sora leak gave me hope for a character that EVERYONE was telling me was impossible, that would never ever happen and that, of my top three most wanted, seemed the most difficult to obtain and unlikely to see in Smash. It was such a relief and crazy moment to see a 4chan leak of all things reveal arguably one of the best Smash character reveals ever in the series. Sure, I wish Shantae and Master Chief were right there alongside him, but I'm so insanely happy to get one of my most hyped dream picks. It's been a wild ride man, pleasure to ride this hype train with you. 😊
@@PapaGenos My most wanted character has always been Chibi-Robo, and he got Mii-deconfirmed before the game even released. But my number two was K Rool, so I really can't complain.
I always found Sora tough to call because of possible legal hurdles, never knowing if he was possible or not. The idea I always tried to get across was to keep expectations low. Congrats, old friend, as I know Sora was one of your most wanted. I find myself constantly playing Sora as well, though it seemed the case with any of the new fighters, to be honest. Oh, I am very pleased that Sora got in, as I think a lot of dreams were fulfilled the day of the reveal and all that.
Back when Smash 4 was first announced, I made a list of my top 10 most-wanted characters I wanted to see playable. 8 of those 10 came true in some capacity in Ultimate _alone._ This game (and everything leading up to its grand finale) truly is something special, and having your videos to fuel the speculation scene was a huge part of that. I hope you know just how many people appreciated your hard work and are looking forward to more of your stuff. (And hearing that Banjo wasn't just highly requested, but quite possibly the _second_ most requested in the world is _oh-so_ satisfying.) Sakurai said that both he and Iwata knew that Sora was _the_ #1 most-requested fighter based off the ballot. Before Iwata passed, he entrusted Sakurai to make the best version of Smash that he possibly could. Iwata wasn't just his mentor, but also one of his dear friends, and Sakurai took his final mission to heart. All of this being said, I 100% believe that Sakurai designed the themes of Ultimate around the themes of Sora and Kingdom Hearts. He probably assumed (as Iwata did) that he'd never be able to negotiate with all the right parties and come to an affordable agreement to get Sora into Smash. But the literal winner of the Smash Ballot was no doubt on his mind while writing the lyrics to Lifelight, or coming up with the plot of World of Light, or conceiving of the two antagonists as corrupted personifications of light and darkness. Like, "Okay, we probably can't get Sora, but I hope players pick up on the homages we're paying to him in this story." And then, much later, as he was beginning work on the second Pass, he was in the right place and right time to finally get the once-impossible Ballot winner in the game. And this is why Ultimate _feels_ like Sakurai's magnum opus: because he really did put his all into accomplishing Iwata's mission of making it the best Smash roster fans could ask for. I dunno, it makes the whole game so much more beautiful when viewed that way. I hope Sakurai knows how proud Iwata would've been of him for making all of this possible.
ALSO, I agree with your thoughts on Mii costumes (and even Trophies, to an extent). Sakurai puts a lot of thought and work into them, just trying to give the fans as much as he realistically can. You can be disappointed, but to call costumes "a death sentence" is so backwards to me. I _really_ wanted Shantae in the game, and I popped off HARD when her Mii was revealed. It wasn't the best case scenario, but the _only other option_ at that time was that Shantae wasn't playable in any capacity. Same with Doomguy (oh, that was such a satisfying costume to end on). I still play them all the time because I love those characters. Skull Kid, Lip, Takamaru, Goemon, Cuphead, Zero, Tifa, Barret, Aerith, Arthur, Bomberman, Isaac...if I had to choose between them being Miis or not having them at all, I'd choose Miis every single time. Sakurai threw a lot of people a lot of consolation prizes, and their reaction was vitriol and disappointment. I'd love for one of the pros to win a major with a Mii just so the internet hivemind can start appreciating the costume diversity haha.
Whatever your channel turns into, I think I speak for a lot of us when I say that I appreciate you maintaining high standards for your channel, even through the longest information droughts. Whenever I clicked on one of your videos, I always knew that I wouldn't be wasting time on some random 4chan "leak," and that I'd actually be hearing something of value.
I've never personally got very involved in the smash speculation scene, and I know this is a bit cheesey, but your videos have covered everything in such great depth and kept me up-to-date for my own enjoyment. I commend the effort and research and attention to detail and attention to different perspectives you've had over all these years, almost never leaving a theory or 'leak' open-ended or forgotten, sometimes even after it's been debunked. Unlike more clickbait-y speculation youtubers, I never felt like I was wasting my time watching your videos. You never covered leaks or speculation unless there was a valid reason to and compiled information in a very easy to digest way. It's a shame it's over, but I respect you a ton for all that you've done and I'm glad to hear you're motivated to keep going.
YES!!! I just finished ALL of your other speculation videos. We went from Mark Rider to Vergben vs Grinch leak, Banjo vs Steve, to Sora finally making it into Smash. My only hope is an FPS rep next game. I'm also praying for Geno to be the first reveal in Smash 7 just for you 🙏

There's still so many characters, past and future, that can still have a go in a future Smash Bros game. And there's still many areas a next game can improve where Ultimate is lacking while still adding something new. There's still a lot to look forward in a future game. For a long while I've wanted an ArcSys + Namco + Nintendo Smash Bros.
Yes, it should have Master Chief, Ragna the Bloodedge, the Knight from Hollow Knight, Crash Bandicoot, Maxwell from the Scribblenauts series, Ezio Auditore from Assassin’s Creed, and Bub & Bob from the Bubble Bobble series to name a bunch!!!!
That ending made me emotional haha. Ever since a friend of mine got me into Smash speculation, your channel became one of my favorites, not only smash related, but in the whole platform. I just love all the effort you put into the videos, how well researched they are for such a hard topic like speculation. But above all, your personality is what made me love the channel even more, and I'm sure I'm not the only one. I wholeheartedly agree with many of the things you said in this video, like Sora being the perfect final for Smash and speculation. I do love being surprised, but seeing the last character be a win for speculation was sooo satisfying and made it much more memorable. The Mii costume thing is also something that's always been on my mind, one of my personal highlights was when the Callie from Splatoon Mii costume was revealed, as seeing this character acknowledged in mii form was very meaningful even if she wasn't technically a character in the roster. In the topic of Mii costumes, I would love to see your ideas for deluxe mii costumes we could have had, it's a very interesting topic seeing which characters could fit this new concept introduced with ultimate, even if we aren't getting any new ones any time soon. Whatever happens with the channel in the future, though, I'll keep watching and supporting, all of your ideas sound so interesting and I'm so excited to see what the future holds. As for content ideas, I’m still interested in seeing what your wishlist was for potential Banjo-Kazooie content was back before release if you still had thoughts on that or reactions to what we got (hell I’d be interested in seeing that expanded to other DLC fighters but only if you had predictions and hopes for them) I know it’s cliche and overdone but I’d enjoy Top/Bottom 5/10 lists for subjects like “Unexplained Ultimate Questions (like Porky’s absence or the lost datamined Rare Spirits on launch), Fake Leaks, or even the next game Fighters list. Aside from Ultimate I’m anticipating the coverage of Nicktoons and Multiversus!
There are a lot of ways to improve Smash as a whole, but as far as roster goes I objectively don't think you can top this game. Every smash character ever plus 20+ newcomers ? Yeah I don't think you can top that.
Heres how to top Ultimate.. Bring every fighter back including the Fighter Pass characters Give anyone from 64, Melee, and a little bit of Brawl a new or improved moveset Bring Smash Run back On 1v1 matches, have rollback net-code Have a mix of unexpected newcomers and long time requested characters But even than, Im happy with the game

I think the main reason Steve and Alex just stand and stare at you in their character artwork and amiibo is because it resembles how Minecraft skins look like when you select them in Minecraft, even if it looks a little creepy it's much more representative of their home series.
Sephiroth getting in could also be a result of the ballot. During the final Smash presentation for Smash 4, Sakurai said that he gets asked a lot to add Final Fantasy characters, so it's entirely possible that Final Fantasy being the only 3rd party series to get multiple non-echo characters is due to outcry from the ballot.
I would love to see your content branch out into retrospectives for sure, and more general Nintendo/gaming rumours and leaks. Theres so many leaks and rumours, there are few youtubers with as much love and enthusiasm as you for it. I was hoping for some QoL improvements for Smash Ultimate before it's done. Things like having full replays (including the intro before "GO!") as videos, being able to disable the controls UI during replays before the "GO!" sign, being able to disable the countdown at the end of a replay to view the statistics of the match. The Mii Fighters also need some improvements, such as hi-res faces, having their actual renders in the VS Splash Screen, having more original outfits to choose from (like Neon Suit and Hibiskus Flower from SSB4), a smaller body to choose for smaller Mii characters and they should keep their names in replays. More options for rulesets would be nice like being able to change what poké ball pokémon and assist trophy should appear, being able to customize the game's roster by disabling fighters and/or sorting the roster, same with stages. Also, a Boss Rush mode should be here, since this game has actual bosses. As well as Target Smash!, since it's a staple of the Smash franchise. It doesn't have to be fighter-specific, just go with generic ones like in Brawl, at least have something like this at all.
I've been watching your Smash Brothers Ultimate content for years and now it's going to be hard to say bye to that for now at least. My earliest memory of watching your content was around when the SNK leak was happening for Terry so for over 2 years now. That's amazing since you've been able to make great content for that long which is great. I'm still going to watch your content after all of this, I've been watching your other content like the Mario Party gameplay on Halloween but I just want to say, thank you. You've been able to help me and many other people in the Nintendo community with sorta feeling comfortable with things like discussions and leaks. You're amazing! Wow I can't believe we are finally here. Papa, I've gotta say how important this channel and these Smash videos have been to me. I started watching and subscribing to your channel right around when Joker released when the speculation was on Challenger Pack 2. I had not ever been much of a gamer, still aren't, but I really like Smash. That summer I got a Switch and my own copy of Smash and have been following all these leaks and such ever since thanks to you. Those types of videos are always fascinating to me and inspired me to restart my dormant UA-cam channel to do similar type of videos on for information on the Power Rangers Lightning Collection figures I collect. Today I do that every week and it has given my channel a few thousand subscribers, so just thanks for the fun, thanks for the inspiration and I'll be here to stay with whatever you have in the future. Really been enjoying the Nick All Star Brawl speculation, bought the game because of you and I'll follow along for Multiverses as well. Steve was the character I wanted most as I played Minecraft a lot when I was younger so I got what I wanted out of the DLC speculation and I can't wait to revisit Smash one day to do it all over again. The Mario series as a whole back then, I felt nostalgia just hearing you talk about that stuff. Tbh the idea you mentioned about hypothetical movesets would be interesting Always had fun forming movesets just to imagine what kind of stuff certain characters could pull off, or even to push the definition of what would make a fighter in Smash.
I'm a long time Geno supporter too and I kind of agree. It's a bummer he still couldn't make it in but it's not something we should take for granted he managed to appear as not just a Mii Fighter in two (technically 3) separate Smash games, but also got a spirit. It's not what we wanted but I can think of tons of other characters I love who got a lot less. So I'm certainly thankful Geno got any attention at all. Been watching your videos for a long time I'll certainly be keeping up with them even post smash! You are, hands down, my favorite speculation/leak content creator on youtube. And there's no one who is as cool headed, honest, trustworthy, and has such good opinions on Geno from Super Mario RPG as you. I've been here pretty much since the start of Ultimate's speculation and I'm excited for the future of gaming speculation! Not to beat a long-dead horse, but your non-smash content and speculation has kind of filled the original Gamexplain crew shaped hole in my heart, since they haven't been doing these crazy in depth analysis and leak discussion videos as much or to the degree that they used to, even on GVG. (Not to diss GX or GVG's current members at all, but their content doesn't cater to my interests like it used to.) Sora was a fantastic ending, but I think Multiversus, Nick, and the bright future of Nintendo and gaming as a whole right now will make for a great start as well!
As someone who started to follow Smash speculation with Ultimate, it was quite an experience. I learned a lot about different characters. Characters I never would have thought possible. (Mostly because I either never heard of them, or I never played the game they came from.) Smash is what got me into gaming to begin with. It introduced me to a wide variety of characters, franchises, and genres. Without Smash, I wouldn't be the person or gamer I am now. Smash changed my life in a way I never would have imagined. It was quite the experience for me. To this day, I still remember my first experience with Melee, Brawl, Smash 4, and now Ultimate. Super Smash Bros. Ultimate was pretty much the reason why I got a Nintendo Switch to begin with. And it was my Christmas present from my mom that year. She knew how much I wanted it. My most anticipated game of 2018. Now it is my most played Nintendo Switch game.
I found it baffling to see people still expecting more fighters after Sakurai had shown his video sharing the game's accomplishments. He gave a specific number of fighters, stages, characters, tracks, etc. Clearly, there will be no more content in the game, even spirits.
That said, if they have another one I wonder who will not return, considering the smaller roster comment Sakurai made awhile back. I can't see the core fighters changing much, unless they fold Sheik back into a Zelda form.
The more niche characters won't return and the bulk of the third party. I can see Sonic, Mega man, Pac man, Simon, Banjo, Hero and even Steve staying. But next smash will be more Nintendo focused. Edit: not sure how, but I forgot that Snake is also third party lol, but it's either him or Simon.
I’ll always remember the video you did covering the Sora 4chan leak. It gave me a glimmer of hope when I had pretty much given up on my most requested character after Banjo. I wanted Banjo in the game more to bring him back from his hibernation but Sora actually means more to me video game and nostalgia/memory wise. I kept my guard up till the end and enjoyed the reveal with my friends. A finish I’ll never forget. Whenever I want to put a smile on my face, I watch your reactions and so many other’s reactions to Banjo and Sora’s trailers PS I totally agree with you on the leaks enhancing the reveals

This has been on crazy ride. I remember just looking up random Smash videos and your channel popped up and ever since then, you're the channel I kept following. I used to also follow ChrisLax and BlockedContent on Smash stuff, but they went way off the rails so I stopped. You kept things down to earth unless you specified this is a theory or "leak", which is nice to know that going in, rather than getting clickbaited

(Completely for fun and not to be taken seriously) Picture this: Game Awards 2021... a shot of space. Fox in an Arwing, Kirby on his Warpstar and Mario just flying Galaxy style. They all land on some planet, huge rings can be seen floating around the planet in the distance. They start getting sniped at, Fox tries shooting back but can't find his target. Kirby flies off. Mario and Fox look at eachother in defeat, when the sound of a beam appears closeby. The beam slashes at the duo sending Mario flying. "Master Chief finishes the fight". Later it is revealed that both Master Chief was tied with Sora as the ballot winners.🤯

To me, the Sora leak gave me hope for a character that EVERYONE was telling me was impossible, that would never ever happen and that, of my top three most wanted, seemed the most difficult to obtain and unlikely to see in Smash. It was such a relief and crazy moment to see a 4chan leak of all things reveal arguably one of the best Smash character reveals ever in the series. Sure, I wish Shantae and Master Chief were right there alongside him, but I'm so insanely happy to get one of my most hyped dream picks.

Similar boat for me, Geno as a Mii like shantae for you but I got Banjo! Who seemed less likely to ever get in smash back before he made it!

I always found Sora tough to call because of possible legal hurdles, never knowing if he was possible or not. The idea I always tried to get across was to keep expectations low. Congrats, old friend, as I know Sora was one of your most wanted. I find myself constantly playing Sora as well, though it seemed the case with any of the new fighters, to be honest. Oh, I am very pleased that Sora got in, as I think a lot of dreams were fulfilled the day of the reveal and all that.
Back when Smash 4 was first announced, I made a list of my top 10 most-wanted characters I wanted to see playable. 8 of those 10 came true in some capacity in Ultimate _alone._ This game (and everything leading up to its grand finale) truly is something special, and having your videos to fuel the speculation scene was a huge part of that. I hope you know just how many people appreciated your hard work and are looking forward to more of your stuff.
(And hearing that Banjo wasn't just highly requested, but quite possibly the _second_ most requested in the world is _oh-so_ satisfying.)
Sakurai said that both he and Iwata knew that Sora was _the_ #1 most-requested fighter based off the ballot. Before Iwata passed, he entrusted Sakurai to make the best version of Smash that he possibly could. Iwata wasn't just his mentor, but also one of his dear friends, and Sakurai took his final mission to heart.
All of this being said, I 100% believe that Sakurai designed the themes of Ultimate around the themes of Sora and Kingdom Hearts. He probably assumed (as Iwata did) that he'd never be able to negotiate with all the right parties and come to an affordable agreement to get Sora into Smash. But the literal winner of the Smash Ballot was no doubt on his mind while writing the lyrics to Lifelight, or coming up with the plot of World of Light, or conceiving of the two antagonists as corrupted personifications of light and darkness. Like, "Okay, we probably can't get Sora, but I hope players pick up on the homages we're paying to him in this story."
And then, much later, as he was beginning work on the second Pass, he was in the right place and right time to finally get the once-impossible Ballot winner in the game. And this is why Ultimate _feels_ like Sakurai's magnum opus: because he really did put his all into accomplishing Iwata's mission of making it the best Smash roster fans could ask for.
I dunno, it makes the whole game so much more beautiful when viewed that way. I hope Sakurai knows how proud Iwata would've been of him for making all of this possible.
ALSO, I agree with your thoughts on Mii costumes (and even Trophies, to an extent). Sakurai puts a lot of thought and work into them, just trying to give the fans as much as he realistically can. You can be disappointed, but to call costumes "a death sentence" is so backwards to me. I _really_ wanted Shantae in the game, and I popped off HARD when her Mii was revealed. It wasn't the best case scenario, but the _only other option_ at that time was that Shantae wasn't playable in any capacity. Same with Doomguy (oh, that was such a satisfying costume to end on). I still play them all the time because I love those characters.
Skull Kid, Lip, Takamaru, Goemon, Cuphead, Zero, Tifa, Barret, Aerith, Arthur, Bomberman, Isaac...if I had to choose between them being Miis or not having them at all, I'd choose Miis every single time.
Sakurai threw a lot of people a lot of consolation prizes, and their reaction was vitriol and disappointment. I'd love for one of the pros to win a major with a Mii just so the internet hivemind can start appreciating the costume diversity haha.
Whatever your channel turns into, I think I speak for a lot of us when I say that I appreciate you maintaining high standards for your channel, even through the longest information droughts. Whenever I clicked on one of your videos, I always knew that I wouldn't be wasting time on some random 4chan "leak," and that I'd actually be hearing something of value.
I've never personally got very involved in the smash speculation scene, and I know this is a bit cheesey, but your videos have covered everything in such great depth and kept me up-to-date for my own enjoyment. I commend the effort and research and attention to detail and attention to different perspectives you've had over all these years, almost never leaving a theory or 'leak' open-ended or forgotten, sometimes even after it's been debunked. Unlike more clickbait-y speculation youtubers, I never felt like I was wasting my time watching your videos. You never covered leaks or speculation unless there was a valid reason to and compiled information in a very easy to digest way. It's a shame it's over, but I respect you a ton for all that you've done and I'm glad to hear you're motivated to keep going.
YES!!! I just finished ALL of your other speculation videos. We went from Mark Rider to Vergben vs Grinch leak, Banjo vs Steve, to Sora finally making it into Smash. My only hope is an FPS rep next game. I'm also praying for Geno to be the first reveal in Smash 7 just for you 🙏

For the last three years, Smash hype and speculation has been this undercurrent to my life that's kept a sense of excitement, fun, and hope alive even despite crazy world events and personal highs and lows. I respect how even in this last "speculation" video, you're wrapping up loose ends and quashing now-debunked rumors you felt you might've advanced previously. Seriously, this is some of the best investigative journalism of our time, and it's over a silly game that makes our silly little dreams come true. Geno would be proud! There's still so many characters, past and future, that can still have a go in a future Smash Bros game. And there's still many areas a next game can improve where Ultimate is lacking while still adding something new.

For a long while I've wanted an ArcSys + Namco + Nintendo Smash Bros.
Yes, it should have Master Chief, Ragna the Bloodedge, the Knight from Hollow Knight, Crash Bandicoot, Maxwell from the Scribblenauts series, Ezio Auditore from Assassin’s Creed, and Bub & Bob from the Bubble Bobble series to name a bunch!!!!
That ending made me emotional haha. Ever since a friend of mine got me into Smash speculation, your channel became one of my favorites, not only smash related, but in the whole platform. I just love all the effort you put into the videos, how well researched they are for such a hard topic like speculation. But above all, your personality is what made me love the channel even more, and I'm sure I'm not the only one.
I wholeheartedly agree with many of the things you said in this video, like Sora being the perfect final for Smash and speculation. I do love being surprised, but seeing the last character be a win for speculation was sooo satisfying and made it much more memorable.
The Mii costume thing is also something that's always been on my mind, one of my personal highlights was when the Callie from Splatoon Mii costume was revealed, as seeing this character acknowledged in mii form was very meaningful even if she wasn't technically a character in the roster. In the topic of Mii costumes, I would love to see your ideas for deluxe mii costumes we could have had, it's a very interesting topic seeing which characters could fit this new concept introduced with ultimate, even if we aren't getting any new ones any time soon.
Whatever happens with the channel in the future, though, I'll keep watching and supporting, all of your ideas sound so interesting and I'm so excited to see what the future holds.

I know it’s cliche and overdone but I’d enjoy Top/Bottom 5/10 lists for subjects like “Unexplained Ultimate Questions (like Porky’s absence or the lost datamined Rare Spirits on launch), Fake Leaks, or even the next game Fighters list. Aside from Ultimate I’m anticipating the coverage of Nicktoons and Multiversus!

There are a lot of ways to improve Smash as a whole, but as far as roster goes I objectively don't think you can top this game. Every smash character ever plus 20+ newcomers ? Yeah I don't think you can top that.

I think the main reason Steve and Alex just stand and stare at you in their character artwork and amiibo is because it resembles how Minecraft skins look like when you select them in Minecraft, even if it looks a little creepy it's much more representative of their home series.
Sephiroth getting in could also be a result of the ballot. During the final Smash presentation for Smash 4, Sakurai said that he gets asked a lot to add Final Fantasy characters, so it's entirely possible that Final Fantasy being the only 3rd party series to get multiple non-echo characters is due to outcry from the ballot.
I think Sephiroth was pretty high on the list.. maybe top 20-30 i think Square was like “hey you want Sora? Well put Sephiroth in first” haha 😂
I would love to see your content branch out into retrospectives for sure, and more general Nintendo/gaming rumours and leaks. Theres so many leaks and rumours, there are few youtubers with as much love and enthusiasm as you for it. Excited to see the channel move forward as well!
I was hoping for some QoL improvements for Smash Ultimate before it's done.
Things like having full replays (including the intro before "GO!") as videos, being able to disable the controls UI during replays before the "GO!" sign, being able to disable the countdown at the end of a replay to view the statistics of the match.
The Mii Fighters also need some improvements, such as hi-res faces, having their actual renders in the VS Splash Screen, having more original outfits to choose from (like Neon Suit and Hibiskus Flower from SSB4), a smaller body to choose for smaller Mii characters and they should keep their names in replays.
More options for rulesets would be nice like being able to change what poké ball pokémon and assist trophy should appear, being able to customize the game's roster by disabling fighters and/or sorting the roster, same with stages.
Also, a Boss Rush mode should be here, since this game has actual bosses. As well as Target Smash!, since it's a staple of the Smash franchise. It doesn't have to be fighter-specific, just go with generic ones like in Brawl, at least have something like this at all.
I've been watching your Smash Brothers Ultimate content for years and now it's going to be hard to say bye to that for now at least. My earliest memory of watching your content was around when the SNK leak was happening for Terry so for over 2 years now. That's amazing since you've been able to make great content for that long which is great. I'm still going to watch your content after all of this, I've been watching your other content like the Mario Party gameplay on Halloween but I just want to say, thank you. You've been able to help me and many other people in the Nintendo community with sorta feeling comfortable with things like discussions and leaks. You're amazing! Even though my most wanted character didn't get in in any way, I'm happy for everyone who got their favorite characters in some way like Banjo, Geno, or even Sans. Thank you again, PapaGenos, and I'm still going to hold out hope for Hat Kid if another Smash game happens. Good night tri-state area.

Wow I can't believe we are finally here. Papa, I've gotta say how important this channel and these Smash videos have been to me. I started watching and subscribing to your channel right around when Joker released when the speculation was on Challenger Pack 2. I had not ever been much of a gamer, still aren't, but I really like Smash. That summer I got a Switch and my own copy of Smash and have been following all these leaks and such ever since thanks to you. Those types of videos are always fascinating to me and inspired me to restart my dormant UA-cam channel to do similar type of videos on for information on the Power Rangers Lightning Collection figures I collect. Today I do that every week and it has given my channel a few thousand subscribers, so just thanks for the fun, thanks for the inspiration and I'll be here to stay with whatever you have in the future. Really been enjoying the Nick All Star Brawl speculation, bought the game because of you and I'll follow along for Multiverses as well. Steve was the character I wanted most as I played Minecraft a lot when I was younger so I got what I wanted out of the DLC speculation and I can't wait to revisit Smash one day to do it all over again. I still watch your "Why Geno" video from time to time because... Honestly, as a fan of Super Mario RPG and just... The Mario series as a whole back then, I felt nostalgia just hearing you talk about that stuff. I got that paperback printing of the Super Mario Adventures comic from the old days of Nintendo Power (one of my favorite things from it)

I'm a long time Geno supporter too and I kind of agree. It's a bummer he still couldn't make it in but it's not something we should take for granted he managed to appear as not just a Mii Fighter in two (technically 3) separate Smash games, but also got a spirit. It's not what we wanted but I can think of tons of other characters I love who got a lot less. So I'm certainly thankful Geno got any attention at all.
Been watching your videos for a long time I'll certainly be keeping up with them even post smash! You are, hands down, my favorite speculation/leak content creator on youtube. And there's no one who is as cool headed, honest, trustworthy, and has such good opinions on Geno from Super Mario RPG as you. I've been here pretty much since the start of Ultimate's speculation and I'm excited for the future of gaming speculation! Not to beat a long-dead horse, but your non-smash content and speculation has kind of filled the original Gamexplain crew shaped hole in my heart, since they haven't been doing these crazy in depth analysis and leak discussion videos as much or to the degree that they used to, even on GVG. (Not to diss GX or GVG's current members at all, but their content doesn't cater to my interests like it used to.) Sora was a fantastic ending, but I think Multiversus, Nick, and the bright future of Nintendo and gaming as a whole right now will make for a great start as well!
As someone who started to follow Smash speculation with Ultimate, it was quite an experience. I learned a lot about different characters. Characters I never would have thought possible. (Mostly because I either never heard of them, or I never played the game they came from.)
Smash is what got me into gaming to begin with. It introduced me to a wide variety of characters, franchises, and genres. Without Smash, I wouldn't be the person or gamer I am now. Smash changed my life in a way I never would have imagined.
It was quite the experience for me. To this day, I still remember my first experience with Melee, Brawl, Smash 4, and now Ultimate.
Super Smash Bros. Ultimate was pretty much the reason why I got a Nintendo Switch to begin with. And it was my Christmas present from my mom that year. She knew how much I wanted it. My most anticipated game of 2018. Now it is my most played Nintendo Switch game.
This makes me sad. It was a fun ride. See you when we are old as crap when the next smash game comes out.

He gave a specific number of fighters, stages, characters, tracks, etc.
Clearly, there will be no more content in the game, even spirits.

As a community, let's all push for an "Ultimate Deluxe" edition.
That said, if they have another one I wonder who will not return, considering the smaller roster comment Sakurai made awhile back. I can't see the core fighters changing much, unless they fold Sheik back into a Zelda form.
The more niche characters won't return and the bulk of the third party.
I can see Sonic, Mega man, Pac man, Simon, Banjo, Hero and even Steve staying.
But next smash will be more Nintendo focused.
Edit: not sure how, but I forgot that Snake is also third party lol, but it's either him or Simon.
I’ll always remember the video you did covering the Sora 4chan leak. It gave me a glimmer of hope when I had pretty much given up on my most requested character after Banjo. I wanted Banjo in the game more to bring him back from his hibernation but Sora actually means more to me video game and nostalgia/memory wise. I kept my guard up till the end and enjoyed the reveal with my friends. A finish I’ll never forget.

This has been on crazy ride. I remember just looking up random Smash videos and your channel popped up and ever since then, you're the channel I kept following. I used to also follow ChrisLax and BlockedContent on Smash stuff, but they went way off the rails so I stopped. You kept things down to earth unless you specified this is a theory or "leak", which is nice to know that going in, rather than getting clickbaited

I'm really gonna cherish all the memories regarding the speculation train. Smash Ultimate is incredible and not just the game itself, the build up and theories surrounding it made it that much more special

As for suggestions, I'm sure most of your viewers would love if you kept your format for overall Nintendo speculation videos once in a while. Maybe let the the rumors pile up for a few months and then do a video when the time feels right. But that's just a suggestion of course!

(Completely for fun and not to be taken seriously) Picture this: Game Awards 2021... a shot of space. Fox in an Arwing, Kirby on his Warpstar and Mario just flying Galaxy style. They all land on some planet, huge rings can be seen floating around the planet in the distance. They start getting sniped at, Fox tries shooting back but can't find his target. Kirby flies off. Mario and Fox look at eachother in defeat, when the sound of a beam appears closeby. The beam slashes at the duo sending Mario flying. "Master Chief finishes the fight". Later it is revealed that both Master Chief was tied with Sora as the ballot winners.🤯
