Hello new subscriber..i have a chevy that for a whole week was having trouble starting id have to crank all the way til it turn on...after a week it gave out ...thought it was the starter got new one but nope..got new battery first too n nothing...upon inspection noticed everytime i crank the key to turn on truck the ""ignition b ""fuse instantly blew out...did it several times n it kept blowing out that same fuse right when i turn the ignition key ....im at a loss i just cant figure it out ..would uou happen to know what possibly might be the problem??..should i change out the whole ignition key switch part?
Try disconnecting the starter wire, the red 12v going to starter and see if it blows a fuse when starting. If not, it's the starter that's bad. If it blow the fuse, check wires related to blown fuse
