Glad I could be of help. I enjoy driving the older Mercedes, so I figured I might as well have a little fun doing the maintenance too, and I noticed there's not a lot available on these cars. Probably my biggest challenge was getting the PCV valve changed... took me days just to find it, and no help of any kind in any of the forums. I haven't published that video yet, but it's coming.
@@CountryShenanigans sounds good man im excited to see that! me and my friend share a 2000 c230 kompressor and were trying to service it ourselves as much as we can and get it in the best possible condition
It's actually a lot of fun to work on this car. There's no question that it has taken a fair bit of maintenance. I think most of the bugs are worked out. The car drives like a dream, so that's why I keep it running good. Nice little car to have, and I see tons of them still on the road.
Thank you! I was replacing my belts and thought I had the wrong one for the Left side accessories (water pump, power steering, A/C). It was way too long... or so I thought. After watching your video I realized I had routed it wrong. I had the right belt after all... fits perfect. Thanks again.
you prolly dont give a shit but does someone know a trick to get back into an instagram account..? I was dumb forgot my account password. I love any tricks you can offer me.
@Arthur Jimmy Thanks so much for your reply. I got to the site on google and Im trying it out atm. I see it takes a while so I will reply here later with my results.
I have the same car 2000 but I have a fan on the darn water pump pulley it’s just free spinning I think or should I also replace the Clutch aswell at 115k miles
Removed it to make it easy to get to the water pump. It came out surprisingly easy. We just made sure all the parts were set off to the side (so we didn't lose anything), and it went back in just as easy as it came out!
No, not really. The entire job was easier by removing the stuff out front, so that's why I did it that way. It also enables you to see how the belts go back on.
Thought I was crazy, thanks for the quick video.
thank you so much! planning on doing this later this month

looks like you had the whole front end off. mine are due for a change, looks to hard to do on my own. can you come change mine. lol
Did you have to remove the radiator?
