      Glad I could be of help. I enjoy driving the older Mercedes, so I figured I might as well have a little fun doing the maintenance too, and I noticed there's not a lot available on these cars. Probably my biggest challenge was getting the PCV valve changed... took me days just to find it, and no help of any kind in any of the forums. I haven't published that video yet, but it's coming.

      It's actually a lot of fun to work on this car. There's no question that it has taken a fair bit of maintenance. I think most of the bugs are worked out. The car drives like a dream, so that's why I keep it running good. Nice little car to have, and I see tons of them still on the road.

    Thank you! I was replacing my belts and thought I had the wrong one for the Left side accessories (water pump, power steering, A/C). It was way too long... or so I thought. After watching your video I realized I had routed it wrong. I had the right belt after all... fits perfect. Thanks again.

    Did you have to remove the radiator?

    • @CountryShenanigans
      @CountryShenanigans  3 роки тому

      Removed it to make it easy to get to the water pump. It came out surprisingly easy. We just made sure all the parts were set off to the side (so we didn't lose anything), and it went back in just as easy as it came out!

    was it hard to get the fan and anything else that was in the way?

    • @CountryShenanigans
      @CountryShenanigans  4 роки тому +1

      No, not really. The entire job was easier by removing the stuff out front, so that's why I did it that way. It also enables you to see how the belts go back on.
