Thank You very much. Very good informative video. I am about to do the same job. At least, I know what I am suppose to encounter during the process. Thanks, again.
3:00 T60! That what I needed to know! My set only goes up to T55 and that felt well dodgy, so I stopped and found your vid. Glad I'm not replacing the tensioner! I'm doing cam gears and chain
Appreciate the video, left you a like and subscribe. I'll be replacing my own tensioner and idle pulley. Since I'm down there, are there some other things that would be easy to replace?
Hello, I have a question thought you would help me. I have a w203 with the same engine like this one so my issue is on cold start the engine rattles for 2 seconds and then gone. What could possibly be the issue ??? Some says it’s the belt tensioner. Thanks
I saw this, tried it, and can't get a hold of anything. I dropped the rack, even disconnected the column and haven't been able to grasp the bolt that secures the tensioner (all this after having to mess with the jack supports and finding out that they are absolutely trash if you don't have the MB jack stand adapter)
@@vusindlovu8897 more time consuming to be honest, the cost goes up about 5-10 usd, u only need 4 intake gaskets and 4 outer o-rings for the fuel injectors. i tried this method (showed on the video) on my w203, but there isn't any room for me to go to this bolt... in the meantime while you drop the supercharger, u can replace your pcv valve (notorious problem) and top off your supercharger oil, or you have spare time you can disassembly it and grease the needle bearings and replace the pulley spring of the supercharger and essentially rebuild it to close to new condition
As a technician this video was helpful for me thank you so much brother...❤
Mighty job Gerard, that was awkward, fair play👍🙏🙂☘
It was in a tight spot Pat for sure 👀 thanks for watching 🙌🙌
Much appreciated 👌🙏🙏
Thank you so much for sharing this, I could not find info on how to replace the tensioner anywhere.

in a hurry and if you are careful you can actually get the belt of with T55
Is it possible to just replace a noisy pulley if the tensioner itself is fine? Great video btw.
Yes it's possible and very easy, I changed it, but mine tensioner is worn and doesn't hold tension, the tensioner pulley bearing also was shot
If you are near LA you can have mine, it is basically brand new. Ended up replacing the whole tensioner.

any news what it was?
Do you need to use anything on the bolt? Like loctite?
It's good practice to use the blue locktite, but if you forget, probs nothing wrong will happen
@@ДимитърАндонов-ъ7е i did use it. My car really needed a new tensioner and pulleys

Bro idk about the main problem 😂, but get the adapter 3d printed there is a 3d model around that works wonders, and you can get it dirt cheap. Cheers
Is not easier removing the kompressor intake in order to make more room to remove the tensioner pulley?
More costly, u have to buy alot of new gaskets.
