    The guy is absolutely incredible. Drumeo flew out to Spain and recorded a load of technique lessons with him. He was impressively open about how his skills are all down to hard work and practice rather than claiming some kind of "divine talent". He definitely deserves all the recognition he's been getting.

      Yep, his messages about hard work and practise are universal. I love his videos, but I couldn't drum my way out of a wet paper bag! 😂 However, you can apply his messages to anything in life and that's what I love.

      It always annoys the h*ll out of me when great artists are referred to as 'talented', as if it's a gift from God and all smooth sailing from there. Sure you need base talent and physical ability/agility to play an instrument, but most of it is sheer hard work and dogged determination to persist honing the skills that lead to greatness.

      Neurotic music. Let's get back to Charlie Watts style drumming. It's good for our soul. You see folks, music brings out emotions when we listen. Slow it down. The virtuoso players have exceeded the capacity of the human ear. Slow it down. Take the Neurotic style out of music. Listen to quincy jones album that covers Henry Mancini. It's relaxing

    YOU MUST DO AN INTERVIEW WITH THIS GUY. I’m curious about what is going on in his head when he plays. Like, how does he count off where he is in the song? How far ahead of the song is he to be able to plan his fills? How many times does he need to listen to a song before he has the song down? Does he have a photographic memory for music?

      He has talked about that in interviews before.. but they are in spanish.... If you ever have seen making those "tupa tupa" sounds with her mouth, that is basically how he "writes down drum parts".. Everything you see in the videos is written down in paper using "his method", that helps him to remind parts.. and after 40 takes he probably just does not need it anymore.

Speed, click tight, hits percision, creativity.. mastered it all. I know he humbles himself and always say it's just "hard work" (and it is, drumming is tons of hard work and self discipline to practice), but he's got something natural for it that cannot be obtain by training.
      Some of the "big" drummers, are big because they were in a big band.. and it's so funny and amazing, that this guy.. is.. a "youtube drummer". He gained himself such recognition, all by himself..

Appreciate you sharing not only your passion for music, but the history and theory that goes with it. I think my favorite of your videos is the one you did on "Never Gonna Let You Go" as the most complex pop song of all time. Absolutely fascinating, because much of that complexity goes unnoticed because of the fluidity of the vocals. Not unlike "After The Love Has Gone" by EW&F (and written by another musical giant, David Foster). Grateful for you, man!

      yep, that's why I started my comment with 'dude is amazing' my comment about recorded tone was addressing dejblueguitar's comment about how great the drums sound. anyway while I'm in the weeds ill double down. I think its possible that siberiano has to tune his toms and snare in particular for his incredibly fast and intricate technique. it is amazing for sure, but at the expense of tone imho. I watch techy drummers for inspiration but I listen to music where the drums serve the song. hearing musicians flex can be great but it gets old fairly quickly. he is clearly an incredible and talented player though and he is killing it with youtube so more power to him! @@GameTimeWhy

UA-cam alone has so many unique and talented players.. It's hard to explain what a truly incredible time this is to those who weren't around in the days before the internet. • @shredd5705
      @shredd5705 3 місяці тому +4

      I think it's an exaggeration. Talent plays a role. It doesn't walk the distance for you. But talent is like having shoes vs. someone who doesn't have shoes. You both have to walk the distance, but if you don't have shoes maybe it's wiser to stay home. Because the road will be harsh and long.
      Gaining speed, endurance, power is nothing to do with talent, it's all about practice. But having internal tempo clock etc... that's talent. Good drummers have it from birth. Some people will not be accurate drummers, no matter how powerful and fast drummers they become, because they just don't have that internal clock and never will. It's like perfect pitch, you either have it or you don't.

    • @lovienyoutube420

      @@shredd5705 i think he meant that even "without shoes", you can get to the end of the road, your goal...it would be harder than having shoes on, it will take longer, right?, but eventually you can get there (or at less close😝), if you stay home, you´ll get nowhere...if he can do it, anyone can do it 💪💪💪🤟start walking😉

    • @shredd5705
      @shredd5705 3 місяці тому

      @@lovienyoutube420 It's a good message, but I think it's not 100% true. People have genetical differences. You should focus your efforts on a thing that you "have shoes for". Which might not be music, but most people have "shoes" for something
      Musical talent exists. For example Lennon and McCartney weren't super disciplined people who practiced 8 hours a day. Still they composed a memorable song after another, like factory assembly line. Songs that most musicians can only dream about writing
      Still, being disciplined is a good message. Especially in jobs that require you just to study hard, like becoming a lawyer or doctor. Lots of people can do it, if they just become disciplined. Most people just can't muster than kind of discipline

      People who have talent LOVE to say it was all hard work. Of course they put in hard work, but there are Nathan Cavaleris and Joe Bonamassas and other child prodigies cropping up all over, and getting recognised as forces of nature before they ever get a chance to put in their 200,000 hours because they just haven't been alive long enough. when you put in the hours, play your live gigs and you still are the hack you started off as, albeit with a few extra chops, and some contacts some smartarse telling you it was all hard work that made them a superstar rally pisses you off.

      @josephw7what a snotty reply. Have you considered that art does not automatically mean "posting art on UA-cam"?

      @josephw7 I am answering because the guy posted quite a personal message about his struggles and you replied with what sounded like a judgemental interrogation. Saying that you only see the videos of others on his channel and asking "why is that?" sounds like you are putting the original poster down.

    Absolutely love him. His ''Disasterpiece one handed'' short is what hooked me

    Thank you for sharing El Estepario with your community. He has been one of a few musicians on UA-cam who has inspired me as a musician and I am now sharing his talent with my 11 yr old aspiring drummer! Love his authenticity and vulnerability. This may help someone out there and give hope.
