One if her best! I can tell you love it. My husband and I listen to her and her band all the time. Union Station is her band. Husband is from Tennessee. We lived there together over two decades. I am from Pennsylvania. I learned to love Bluegrass .They do alot of Bluegrass and other lovely songs. Highly recommend!
Yes. Alison and Union Station are magic for the ears. The fact that they’re all brilliant, masterful musicians who enjoy the sound they makes is just gravy.
She has perfect pitch. You have to hear Jacob's Dream. It is so haunting. She is a fantastic storyteller. The story told in Jacob's Dream is a true story. Your missing out on a heartwrenching tale that she tells so passionately and heartbreakingly beautiful. Warning though, it's very sad.
She’s got the voice of an angel and a presence like no one else. Fall down that rabbit hole and enjoy every second of the ride! Oh and Dan Tyminski, guitar, no sunglasses, was George Clooney’s singing voice in the movie, “O Brother, Where Art Thou”!
Union Station is the band that actually performed music in the 2000 movie Oh Brother Where Art Thou. They played for the Soggy Bottom Boys. Alison sang Down To The River to Pray. The most beautiful song she has recorded is River In The Rain.
I had been going to concerts and enjoying Alison Krause and Union Station since she was a frizzy-brown haired chubby kid. So much musical talent and a flawless, powerful, unique, silky-smooth voice.
Saw her live before she hit super stardom at a free concert at a park in Scottsdale Az. Back when Adam was playing mandolin for her and Allison Brown was playing banjo with her. Recorded it on my old VHS camcorder. Need to find that tape.
She is my favorite female country/bluegrass artist of all time with award winning musicians as well. For an easy on the ear song, please check out the duet with Alison Krauss and Robert Plant (lead singer from Led Zeppelin) sing "Killing the Blues" or "Catfish John" with Nitty Gritty Dirt Band.
Alison broke into the biz as a young teen phenom fiddler, but later in her career when she started singing...Wow! Thanks for sharing this one. 🙂 You might also enjoy Patty Loveless singing "You'll Never Leave Harlan Alive." There's a live version on UA-cam from Oct 27th, 2001 that is excellent. Really good stuff.
This is a great, mellow, kinda bluegrass song. Alison KRAUSS has an excellent catalog. My personal favorite, for no particular reason, is “When You Say Nothing at All”.
Craig about a year or so ago Alison teamed up with Robert Plant of Led Zeppelin to make an album. Never would think them two would match but they put out a few good songs. I saw her live about 15 years ago and sounded great.
Alison's voice is probably under rated for what she can do with it. Union Station is also a stand alone band, two of the members have done solo albums and have played with other recording artists also. Thanks for your reaction. You are up very early, have a great day.
@@roseleenehrsam4059 , No argument intended, the bulk of Alisons awards have been in the field of Bluegrass music and many were from other countries, it does not take away from her talent at all, But, George Straight is the winningest ACM winner with 23 making him the king of country. I believe it is because of her music category she isn't appreciated more in American award shows. I've seen and heard her both in practice and live performance, her voice is an absolute one of a kind.
There is a live version of this song on UA-cam and it really highlights the talent of all the musicians. I'm especially fond of the Dobro playing. It has a special sound.
Alison had a terrific run in the '00s, then it just ended on the radio. Such awesome vocal talents coupled with this tight band of professionals. In addition to the famous tracks, love some obsure tunes like Simple Love, Living Prayer, Every Time You Say Goodbye. I can loop the video of Goodbye is All We Have for hours!!!
It's really nice to see this modern version of Bluegrass, still at the base of Alison and Union Station. Alison's incredible voice, and the acoustic instruments are an unusual sound these days, and one for which I'm very thankful. Nice reaction. Thanks!
I love it. Listening to this is getting into a little bit of bluegrass. I have a special place in my heart for Alison. I grew up with bluegrass. My dad plays the banjo, and as a little girl I'd fall asleep listening to his banjo in the other room. He'd lay his instrument on the floor so I could play with it when I was a toddler. I learned to be gentle with instruments. Please do Alisons version of "When you say nothing at all" Me and my husband danced to it at our wedding. ❤
If you are looking for another artist in a similar vein with the same level of instrumental virtuosity, vocal finesse, and storytelling you must listen to The Greencards. They haven’t put anything out in about 10 years but no matter, their anthology is deep and mesmerizing
Hello Taylor Fam, I grew up listening to Alison Krauss & Union Station they're records were being played regularly around my house. I love to listen to Alison's angelic vocals, and you are so right to point out that in this genre of music some of the instruments that are used are quite unique and are usually only played in this style of music. However, I do think that's changed quite a lot these days. Here's another artist to give a listen, if interested. "Gillian Welch - I'll Fly Away" (Live) (by the channel: clydesburn) --Gillian Welch is an American singer/songwriter. She performs with her partner, guitarist David Rawlings. They have a unique blend in their style of music, they combine elements of Appalachian music, bluegrass, country and some Americana thrown in for good measure, lol😏 Welch and Rawlings have collaborated on nine critically acclaimed albums, five released under her name and three released under Rawlings name, and one under both of their names...in otherwards a lot of bangers to discover in future, if interested. lol I really enjoyed chilling with you Taylor Fam. thanks so much for all your content it's much appreciated
She did a cover of Shenedoah's "Ghost in the House" which I know you reacted to that version already, however I think Allison Krause's version was more haunting and absolutely beautiful because she has such an angelic voice.
I love alisons cover of The foundations "Baby, now that i found you" she also wrote and produced an album for Alan Jackson as well as dueting with him on the beautiful 'The Angels Cried"
Love Allison Krauss. Another great song of hers that I just found recently is "Let Me Touch You For A While". I would love to add this one to the reaction list.
They do some damn good Bluegrass. I cant remember the name of the Do Bro player but he is one of the best known to me. They all are masters on thier instruments. With her Angelic voice its just icing on the cake!
Hadn’t heard that, it is quite beautiful! I think I may only know’when You Say Nothing At All’, but I could be wrong! She has a great voice! I would also like to know who that guy is in the video! He is very cute!!☺️. Thanks for the reaction, new song for me!👍👍
Great reaction. For some more great country, please listen to TG Sheppard. He sings Party Time and I Loved Them All. Party Time is in my opinion his best.
Alison has 41 Grammy nominations and 27 wins. Her total music industry award nominations are 105 and wins are 59. I have heard her called “underrated” but I strongly disagree ! My top 3 Alison songs are When You Say Nothing At All, Carolina In My Mind, and Whenever You Come Around with Vince Gill.
Not sure where to make a recommendation so I'm doing it here. TRACE ADKINS and the song is YOU'RE GONNA MISS THIS. You will love his voice and the song/lyrics. PS where do I recommend songs? Sorry but I'm a novice on the computer.

Yes, and Allison's violin playing is second to none!
Can not go wrong with ANY of their songs!!! Let Me Touch You For A While is a favorite

I second this request. Such a beautiful, sad song. ❤
@@karendavis2668 I third this request.

We're the lucky ones to have this song and band around.

My bucket list of artists I still have to see live? Alison Krauss and Union Station are it.
Saw her live before she hit super stardom at a free concert at a park in Scottsdale Az. Back when Adam was playing mandolin for her and Allison Brown was playing banjo with her. Recorded it on my old VHS camcorder. Need to find that tape.
@@leemiracle6840 Probably the best singer in the world. I read that they're going to perform live again in 2025. Fingers crossed.
She definitely sings like an Angel and one of my favorite female singers
Her voice is hypnotizing isn't it? It sounds like a string instrument. They are just as good in person too.
Allison’s latest project is her work with the great Robert Plant (Led Zeppelin). Their chemistry is magical!
Jacob’s Dream is a must and written from a true story.

She won more Grammy’s than any other country singer.

Angelic voice. No one like her 💕💕

Union Station always new how to enhance her voice instead of overwhelming it like many bands do.

please also listen and react to Looking in The Eyes of Love by Alison Krauss & union Station
Such a tight, magical band led by Alison and her genius as a musician and singer. Such a treat.
I love her beautiful voice
Alison has the voice of an angel accompanied by a plethora of musical talent in Union Station.
This lady sounds like an angel and she's the reason I learned to play the fiddle and guitar ❤❤❤❤
I love alisons cover of The foundations "Baby, now that i found you" she also wrote and produced an album for Alan Jackson as well as dueting with him on the beautiful 'The Angels Cried"

Thanks for the reaction, new song for me!👍👍
Donna Taggart from Ireland also does a great version of this song.
I doubt there is any band that has more grammy's between the lot of them than AK and Union Station.
This song remind me a bit of Blaze Foley Clay Pigeons for some parts. Love it🤠
I'd love to see her join the " Trio" of Dolly Parton and Emmylou Harris, what magic that would be
27 Grammys!
I suggest “Gravity” or “Goodbye Is All We Have”… not a bad song in her catalog. “Simple Love” is beautiful too…
Great reaction. For some more great country, please listen to TG Sheppard. He sings Party Time and I Loved Them All. Party Time is in my opinion his best.

This borders between the genres of country bleeding into blue grass.
She has a beautiful voice but her abilities aren't showcased in this one.
