Uncontrolled #diabetes leads to three main long term #complications :
Three important #diabetic complications are:
#retinopathy
#heartattack & #heartfailure
#nephropathy
These are the crippling and life threatening ones.
Others are common but they are irritating and troubling but do not decrease life expectancy. These are:
#neuropathy
Increase chances of #infection
#fatty_liver #fattyliverdisease
#gallstones
#erectile_dysfunction
#Pruritus etc.
So how can you prevent or delay these diabetic complications?
That is possible only by #good #control of sugars in diabetes mellitus.
So keep the
#fasting sugar level - less than 120mg/dL
Post Prandial sugar or Random Sugar level - less than 180 mg/dL
#hba1c - less than 7%
So the end result of treatment of diabetes is GOOD CONTROL
No #insulin fancy drugs etc can prevent or delay complications except good and tight control of diabetes.
