Self Titration of Insulin

Titration of insulin is a difficult job and needs understanding of hypoglycemia.
The worst a doctor can do is to ask the patient to titrate.
That is very often risky.
Can lead to episodes of hypoglycemia i.e. low sugar levels, which can trigger more appetite and lead to #weightgain .
Thus creating havoc with control of #diabetes .
#insulin #injection #technique should be taught to the patients with #diabetes by the doctor himself in the first sitting. That saves a lot of trouble in the future as patient knows how and where to inject insulin.
But once the doctor doesn't give enough time and proper advice, the patient seeks advice from the nurse, chemist, a lab technician and others. Most of the time these people do not know the proper method and mislead the innocent patient.
Here I have tried to address all those issues and tried to explain about the proper place and way of injecting insulin. That too in easily understood Urdu/Hindi. I have made this YT video using video clips to explain the issue and its implication for the patient.

Dawn Phenomenon.....

Dawn phenomenon happens when hormones your body naturally makes in the early morning (including cortisol and growth hormone) increase your blood sugar. Or the dose of insulin or tablet at night is insufficient.
The Somogyi effect also involves a surge of hormones, but it's due to a low blood sugar episode overnight. Dawn phenomenon doesn't happen because of low blood sugar.
I have talked about the Somogyi phenomenon in the video. My focus in this video is on excessive dose given to patients without monitoring sugar levels round the clock.

Salam mera weight kam hai mera sugar march mai jab 8 month ki deliver mai baby death howa tab pata laga k mje sugar hai hbc1 11.5 hai tu mje insulin dana start ki ik month mai mera hbc1 7 par agaya ab mai insulin laty 20 subha aur rat ko 14 units magar meri body mai pain hota legs mai b kabi190 tu kabi 210 tak aur kabi 65 tu kabi 90 tak sugar hojata mai khana bht souch kar khty k kahi sugar high na hojay q k humain baby chahya tu ab mje guaid kry mera weight b kam hai 49 ab mai kiya karo tak insulin k bina mai apna weight b ziyada kro aur sugar b control raha

Waalaikum Salaam.
Sorry to hear about your ordeal. Let me tell you that you will need insulin for a long period of time, most likely for your life. That is because you are just 49 kgs in weight and seems you have insulinopenia (deficiency of insulin), rathe rthan insulin resistance.
Now coming to control of diabetes, if your HbA1c is around 7, then you have good control. Maintain that, but do take good diet too (avoiding sweet things like juices, sweets, potatoes etc). See my video on diet in diabetes. Here is the link:
