That quip of Astarion's quite literally made me laugh hysterically the first time I heard it. It was the funniest line in the game for me, hands-down. I lost it for a stupidly long time, leaving the game paused in dialogue until it stopped. And THIS is why he's my favorite character. X'D

Her ancestor is a Dragonborn called Dirge who was the original Bhaalspawn and Fiona sort of inherited the same from him along with his Draconic powers but this is very distant ancestry but she is the only one left of his lineage which he uses to cause havoc whenever he can and that is the actual Dark Urge at least in my fanmade alteration of this story. If your level cap is at 20, then Tav is 10 levels of Bard and 10 levels of Barbarian, while Fiona is 10 levels of sorceress of Draconic Lineage with 2 levels of cleric, 2 levels of druid, 2 levels of wizardess, 2 levels of witch or female warlock and 2 levels of bardess respectfully. I made Tav a Half-Orc because it is the least likely race, it is the least utilized race and it makes the most sense for a protagonist to be. Also with the name Tav which is an Orcish name if you remember Lord of the Rings. Although, there is really two protagonists, Fiona and Tav. Having two Drow might be a bit much, but given the story's dark progression and the fact a Draconic Lineage Dark Spawn in which I can have two Dark Spawn characters, one who is an actual Dragonborn and one who isn't but has some distant characteristics such faded scales on her face would make the most sense. Plus I can make one completely evil, white the other isn't a complete boon for two separate gameplays that are linked due to the prospect of a Baldur's Gate multiverse and Gale somehow being important to it all, which also works given his affinity with magic. She is a good Drow woman, mind you with blood red hair, faded grayish scales (which she inherited from Dirge) and she is all cutesy and proper, the exact antithesis of every other character minus Astarion if you think he is cute. She also has heterochromia with one red eye (which is her left eye), while her right eye is a gold iris with a black sclera. You know entirely incorrect in every sense of that word as to what she should be and what she should look like. An enigma which serves well for the story as to the type of story the makers of the game probably wanted. Not your typical game, but one that is very brutal, very cruel, and very tragic and it serves better in all of those places if one character fits such to a T. Someone you would care much for that if this was adapted into a movie, you could follow it and care about what is going to happen. And even more so Fiona is a tool to reshape how we think of female characters who have the lead role. She isn't a Mary Sue while she is good at many things and iconic as a good person. Because she isn't bossy, at least not entirely, she can be towards males of her kind as she is a Drow ultimately. No where near as much as Minthara. However, she does rely heavily on her friends but never really uses them. More like the original Wonderwoman film that ever liked, except this is ultimately a Tragic darkspawn character being used and manipulated and cannot be trusted no matter how genuinely kind she is.
