Mine are heart palpitations, air hunger, hot flashes and extreme anxiety, dry hair, no sex drive
Sounds like me. Palpitations are few things thank God
Can some explain air hunger please?
Ive had those since my 20s

Oh my word I thought something was wrong with my heart. I’m so half to hear this!
Let me tell ya, I did keto for a few months, and I felt better than I had in years! It is a very difficult lifestyle though. But off of it I feel horrible now, so I’ll try again. The depression, brain fog, irritation, apathy, and rheumatoid arthritis symptoms went away with low carb. Amazing.
I hate this. It all feels so out of my control and i have no energy to be able to help myself or fix anything. Never felt so alone in all my life.
I understand that feeling well. Hugs!❤️
I find that going on a thirty minute walk with my dog daily helps 😊
Pomegranates have really really help me in perimenopause, even more so than flax seeds. I eat them and drink the juice every morning and afternoon. The hot flashes are less severe.
every doctor should gave to watch these videos in school & after ! ❤
❤️
Watching anything on a device after 8pm is definitely something I cant do anymore. ♥️🇨🇦
Hi Kari, I was incredibly blessed to come across your channel. As a healthcare worker for 25yrs and slowly seeing what it has become, I am no longer working in that field. I have had a passion for natural health for over 30 yrs and, you, my friend are amazing!!! You are spot on to the TRUTH, and I am also learning a lot. Your side videos make me laugh. I feel so much better realizing Im not going crazy with my intense brain fog and other symptoms. Seems like everyday something different is exacerbated, either physical or mental. After watching your channel, I now realize its very normal. I am beyond grateful for all that you do for us in this season of our lives.❤
Heat intolerance, brain fog and sleep issues are the 3 that still bother me the most at this point. I never had problem with any of them before and now I just pray they go away someday.
Hi Kari, I would also say that the water in the shower or bath should be cooler. Doctors are so frustrating. Yesterday, I had an endoscopy (without sedation, they sprayed the back of my throat to numb the throat, but it's an awful experience) this is one of the many tests I've had when I'm constantly saying it's perimenopause. I have literally had every organ in my body tested. Thankfully I'm fine. I've been reading some terrible stories on Menopause Mandate, about women going through horrific symptoms and not being treated well by their GP. Even stories of women in their 20's and very early 30's going through it. I'm taking back control and I'm literally flying to another country to see a menopause specialist that can help me. Thanks again.
Wow! I hope you find a great specialist that helps you.
I had endoscopy when I was 30 same as you was awake when they did it, it was horrific they had to pin me down that tube was like a hose pipe! I thought I was going to die, never will I go for that again. Hope you get to see a good Doctor.
The doctors kept giving me the same tests over and over again and telling me they found nothing. A couple of times they shot me with morphine and sent me home. I realized they only looked at me as to how they can make money off of me and not help me. I stopped relying on Doctor care and took my care into my own hands.
It could be Endometriosis or Adenomyosis if your suffering from heavy bleeding too. These conditions arent easily found.
Long way short you are indeed better of following a natural approach
So awesome that you’re in a position to go to another country to find a physician who will help you. Best wishes.
I'm perimenopausal and honestly I can handle the hot flushes, the aches and pains and the insomnia but I CANNOT handle way I feel constantly bloated - it's the most awful feeling.
Pre and probiotic .also warm water lemon and honey first thing in the morning..kefier milk ❤
I had horrible hot flushes, depression and weight gain. I didn’t even want to me around myself it was so horrible
Thank you. I discovered early in my menopause journey how the conventional medical community is absolutely useless in helping. It made no difference whether it was a man or a woman treating me, which was disheartening. I found that alternative practitioners, on the other hand, had a whole host of very beneficial remedies.
Agreed.
I went thru menopause and never had a single hot flash, I’m 64 now but the only thing I EVER drink is water, maybe that helped after what you just described😊
My Nurse Practioner had severe menopause symptoms , it made such a difference , she really listened and understood not being able to sleep , & the whole list ❤
Alcohol, sugar and processed food are the worst for me. And wow I can’t handle stress anymore, it aggravates my symptoms of heart palpitations, skin rashes and IBS flare ups. I Hope after menopause these symptoms go away.
I’m post menopausal now and many symptoms have eased up. Anxiety and pain has stuck around but taking collagen, eating well, taking supplements and exercising help a lot.
I love your videos. I wish you would do one exclusively on weight gain. I have a lot of symptoms and some of them really suck, but I’m having the hardest time coming to terms with an extra 25 pounds that seemingly appeared out of nowhere and no matter what I try I can’t get it off. I’m just not happy in this new, larger body since most of my life I’ve been slim. It’s very distressing.
I have been fighting an extra 20pounds myself. Frustrating for sure.

Do you find that its all around the middle? When I used to lie in my back in bed my ribs was visible, now I can't find them even if I press to try. If anything I've gone of food since menopause, and the thought of a big meal is so off-putting, I really don't eat alot and what I do eat is always healthy foods. Yet over the past 10 months I've gone so fat and sweaty its got to the point I don't want to go out. I even quit my job because I was so embarrassed about the constant sweating and how big id become . I'm so miserable
I am a wedding photographer, so stress is my daily bread. Use don’t know how to lower stress and cortisol. I am 50 and facing all symptoms you mentioned. Not finding sleep bevor a wedding is so exhausting.
Hi Kari, your channel is a life saver, literally. I identify with a lot of the symptoms described. However, the most recent arrival has to be the worse. Waking up in the middle of the night, with the most awful dizziness at just turning my head.. the whole room begins to spin, and I feel like I'm going to throw up. I decided to go back to the gym to try and tackle the huge weight gain I have gained, but after watching this I realise that I have probably been overdoing it so willbe pulling back off the weights! Wow, being a woman has always been such a gift, but this stage of life is a bitch! 🤦🏽♀️
I have a video about kickstarting weight loss and a live replay with my sister on weight loss. They may help.
Great kari! I love all ur videos 😊
Thank you for talking about all of these many symptoms. I have most and really great to hear them acknowledged. Thanks for talking about air hunger and clumsiness and anxiety and panic and heart palpitations. I’m so grateful to have found your channel.
Winter used to be an issue for me. It no longer is. I love winter now. Lol.
Thank you Kari !
People, people worsen my symptoms 😂

Thanks Kari 😊
Perfect video. Well done. Thank you 🙏🏼 😊
Hi Kari! You are an 😇 Spot on as usual- I’m 5+ years post menopausal and I still struggle with many symptoms especially broken sleep! And I remember connecting the dots after eating sugar and getting hot flashes drs looked at me like I was crazy when I told them.. 😒 thank you for all of your videos, I truly appreciate them❤

Hi kari, So sweet of you. I like your all videos
Thanks so much Kari. You are a heaven-sent-Angel. I appreciate you so much ♥️♥️♥️
I'm so grateful for these videos, they helped me a lot because I was really struggling😢 thank you Kyra
When i went, the docs were hopeless. They looked at the symptoms but never thought it was menopause!
Kari, you are an angel. Thank you! I bought magazines about it for months, but it's different when another woman shares her experience. All the best!🤗
I really appreciate your channel. Thank you so much. You have absolutely helped me to not feel like I'm crazy. You have also helped my husband to see that I am not exaggerating. Thanks again. ❤❤❤❤
Hi Kari, thank you for making these videos on menopause. I’m so glad to find more information on the topic in general, and I find your videos very helpful! I’ve had to quit very spicy foods, especially at dinner time. If I’m going to indulge in the occasional spicy dish, then I’ll have it at lunch time so it gives me time to digest and burp it all out throughout the afternoon lol. Out of all the alcoholic beverages, red wine seems to be the biggest trigger of insomnia for me. Of course, drinking any alcohol as if I were in my 30s is guaranteed insomnia and hot flashes. On the other hand, I found drinking matcha tea in the mornings helped a lot with my brain fog. Keep up the great work!
Itching skin .itching in the ears .sinus pain on the left side .aching teeth .insomnia. hair loss.weight gain.carpal tunnel. aching neck. Uterine Prolapse .dry eyes.changes in libido. Can't stand heat or the cold. Anxiety driving on busy roads .just to name a few.
😢
Excellent advice. I've found that turning the temperature down just a couple of degrees at night really helped with my sleep. So does getting outside for a few minutes of walking if possible.
I get muscle aches when I sleep with the AC and fan..Any Advice? Thanks for sharing
@@deanmorgan7965I've started getting them in my right thigh. What works for me is to do a few full leg muscle stretches before falling asleep. No more than 4 stretches though. You can also put an extra blanket or something thick like a very thin, worn out pillow under you where it hurts. Hope it helps.
Hello thank you night sweat and sleep thanks for sharing be safe 🙏🏾

Thank you Kari❤️ I can not agree more, number 2 shouldn't be on the list. Medical professionals and their poor understanding of menopause, specially perimenopause

I am seeing a functional medicine doctor for my perimenopause. She listens and understands that this is a time where everything shifts. Ive had such a better experience than my friends who went to a traditional doctor.
I’m happy you’ve found someone who is listening and truly helping you. What a blessing!
Low carbs and healthy fats plus magnesium keeps me calmer. Also accunpuncture
Also, fatty and oily foods can increase hot flushes by a lot. Stay away from animal products, nuts, sugar and caffeine as much as possible.
I had to cut down my caffeine and that helped my anxiety and rushed feeling. Also no caffeine after 3:00
I don’t have caffeine after noon
Hi Kari,my doctor and nurse made me feel totally insane when I described my rib discomfort, they suggested I use aleve topical spray!😮
Sorry that happened. I’m surprised they didn’t mention costochondritis.
@@KariAnneWright exactly Kari I’m looking for a doctor with menopause experience!
I noticed that spicy foods like hot peppers, ginger has an affect too, I have to eat somewhat more bland when it comes to those spices
Thank you so much for your videos. I'm 37 and over the past few years, I've noticed some changes that just can't be explained otherwise. Prior to that, I've had a severy thyroid hyperfunction that went unnoticed and untreated for years and I am convinced that 1. my thyroid is still not back to working properly and 2. has messed with so much that my hormones are totally out of whack and now, I'm experiencing symptoms of perimenopause. I find tumeric and in particular golden milk (made with non-dairy milk) helps with the hot flashes. Pomegranates and red matcha do too. Now I only need to find something to make my hair grow normally again because it is ridiculously thin at the moment while my nails are stronger and thicker than they've ever been. As I'm finding things that work for me, I'll be sharing them as well. It's gonna be a long journey and I wish I could skip forward to the end.
My nails grow like crazy and they are super strong but most of my hair has fallen out! Makes no sense. I wish I could find the magic cure for the hair loss. If I ever do I’ll share it.
Cold flashes are a big one for me this month, every month its something new, mother nature thinks hmmmm, what shall we give her to deal with this month 😳im just so grateful my shoulder has healed ❤ - for now 🎉 thank you for being here xxx

Thank you Karie for advocating for woman during this difficult time in our lives, I have experienced all of these symptoms the best thing I did was change my diet esp sugar intake my cholesterol and fatty liver improved still working on my triglycerides they are still high. Day by day trying to find out what works. I just had my hormonal iud removed to see if some symptoms improve. I feel like I’m going nuts everyday. I just want to know that I’m okay 😢
Diet has made a huge difference to my health and symptoms. The best thing I did to help myself too.
@@KariAnneWright I’m having major anxiety today feeling like I need to get a colonoscopy now 😅 does the fear ever end? Trying to tell myself it’s okay ❤ have you felt this way in peri ?
@@Jc45456 Oh yes! Every pain brings worry. I’m getting better but it still happens and I have had a lot of testing over the years. Hugs!❤️
@@KariAnneWright I have hemorrhoids from pregnancy and sometimes I Get pain down there or back pain or something else and I freak out, immediately start sweating and panic sets in ugh 😩 now i feel I won’t rest until I ask my doctor if a colonoscopy is recommended, but yet at my last appointment she said there is no need I’m too young. I’m tired 😪
@@Jc45456 Hemorrhoids can cause pain and bleeding which can be worrisome. I get the occasional bleeding spots on tissue but I did the mail in colon screening some years ago and no blood was detected in the test so I figure it’s just a hemorrhoid issue. It’s hard not to worry with so much going on.
Can you do a video on hydration and dehydration during menopause? The reasoning behind why we can't stay as hydrated. I feel like I drink water all day and I'm still dehydrated. It's a never ending cycle 😢 thank you
Noted!😊 Menopausal women are at a higher risk of dehydration.
I felt that also...😞
Perhaps a good electrolytes?
Small frequent intake of water helps me a lot.
Me too
I love your videos. I'm 43 and convinced I'm going through the menopause. Everyone says I'm too young, my mother went through it at 37 so I dont consider myself too young. My problem i the weight gain the constant sweating all day everyday, just simply walking from ine room to another sets me off. The thought of going out and shopping ect ect sets my anexity off. I've gained so much weight for no reason at all. And the pain in my hips and knees is awful, especially at night
43 is right on time. You’re not too young. Anxiety and weight gain are very common. I battle both myself.
@@KariAnneWright and low mood aswel. Just nothing excites me anymore like it use too
Dizziness, allergies, ear problems, acid reflux, air hunger began at 42 for me. Walks, exercise, diet helps. I use turmeic & ginger for pains. Digestive enzymes seem to help the stomach as well.
my family doctor did that to me too she was very dismissive. and told me im suffering from depression...no solution. I was so disappointed with her.
I’ve never found a great doctor. I’m thinking now that I never will.
I just discovered today from your videos I’m in perimenopause!!!
OMG
All of a sudden I got fragile!!!
Not even going to list!!
So crazy and embarrassing! Why didn’t my mom say anything. I had a girlfriend mention she may be peri. I guess I thought I wasn’t yet or wasn’t because we had different symptoms.
Glad I have been living heathy earlier. Glad I’m able to do things again!
Will implement more!!
One day I was like F-it I want a drink. Search three stores for wine coolers. Saying I must not need it since I can’t find it. Bought a margarita drink mix cooler. One sip made me sick! I was concerned about the medicine and alcohol. Now I’m like this just makes so much sense in every area.
So what I am gathering. When I go back to the doctor this month. I’m going to walk in and tell him I am perimenopausal. But I don’t want hormone replacement therapy. I’m going to start implementing this stuff. So is there anything the doctors can do to help outside of hormone replacement therapy? Or we just have to suffer?
The go to for doctors is hrt but at the very least they can rule out other things and the gyne can make sure your health is good while your cycles shift and stop.
Kari nice looking at your video. What do you recommend for bleeding for weeks.
There isn’t much you can do yourself for extended bleeding. Doctors will usually offer you some sort of birth control, hrt or coil if bleeding becomes an issue. Also monitor your iron.
And dry hair 😢 Anxiety
My sis it true what you say i feel that way but i am fighting
I scratched a lot like on my shoulder and on my hands
I just started HRT today 😮 I sure hope it helps🤞🏻
I hope it works wonders for you!😊
I am going to this week. Very scared but I can’t work anymore if I don’t get help.
@@Hello-kk5gy well if it helps I’ve now been on them for a couple of weeks on a very low dose and it’s helping 🥰 I would definitely try it out
Hey there, I also am going to try HRT. Are you still on it? If so hows your experience been with HRT?
Thanks for sharing your story.
I have noticed if I go for a walk, I have to go at my own pace. If I go at my own pace, I can walk up to six miles. But if I am involved in a physical activity that pushes me hard, I need a day or two to recover. I’ve had to give up doing Garage Sales during our annual neighborhood event because it was just too much for me. Hoping I can do those again one day.
Overdoing it can stress the body and jack up cortisol in menopausal women which can cause a host of issues. I had to tone my exercise down and find a routine that would help build up muscle and endurance without stressing my body. I found a good routine and I switched to a quality liquid collagen and I’m exercising everyday again, losing weight and toning up.(slowly). That long winded explanation was to suggest that you go at your own pace and build up strength and endurance slowly. Eventually you will get strong enough to go back to the things you love.
@@KariAnneWright This is so helpful. Thank you!
@@KariAnneWright what type of exercise did you find helpful?
@@amandatruong2724 I like Tracy Anderson and walking and I live on the third floor so I spend a lot of time running up and down the stairs and lugging groceries and laundry etc. That’s exercise too believe me.
Brain fog is bad for me, and burning sensation like i have a UTI even though im on Hrt.
😔❤️
Pam,I’m on HRT and also have the sensation of frequent burning 🥵 as if I have a UTI
Strange isn’t it 😊
@@elizabethconroy7665 Horrible isn't it.
My symtoms subsided when I started using local estrogen cream twice a week, apart from HRT.
I have found since I’ve been focusing on my nutrition (not really worrying about weight) more nutrition, and it seems like I’ve covered all the bases in vitamins & minerals, and I’m not having any hot flashes or any real menopausal symptoms….
And I was the one who is referring to myself a ‘salamander’ because it seem like every part of my body was always wet. Yeah, I know disgusting.
What I found to be the absolute worst for menopause for me personally anyway was alcohol can’t drink alcohol. It seems to bring out all the worst symptoms in menopause for me.
I’m extremely focused on proper nutrition but so far it hasn’t erased all of my symptoms. It does help big time though. I’d be suffering far worse if I didn’t watch my diet. I track my nutrition to make sure I’m mostly in the green for all of my nutrients. It’s so important to be as healthy as possible in midlife.
I noticed whenever I ate sweets I would go through those symptoms.
For years I tried to do exercises on a regular basis. There was yoga, walking, stretching, all you can imagine ... But I was never able to keep it going. There are days I'm just exhausted, my joints hurt (bc of exercising), it's too hot to go outside, my feets are sore, I am stressed, hungry, busy, ... And I feel guilty all the time for not being constant.
I think my main problem is poor sleep, being very sensitive and because of this easily stressed and I should focus on stabilizing my mental health. But it is possible to do every now and then a bit stretching and stop shaming myself for not being able to do things others can.
No shaming! Any exercise and movement is helpful. Stressing your body will do more harm than good. If a ten minute walk is all you can manage that’s great! It’s ten minutes of exercise.
I have all that except the hunger. in fact I rarely have an appetite. Usually I only eat because I feel weak and shakey. Despite that I've managed to put on significant weight after having been very slender my whole life
Hi Kari! By any chance is feeling internal cold temperature a symptom or hands and feet tingling? Like menthol is inside the body? I’ve been experiencing all what you mentioned. Thank you for sharing this information 🙏
Changes in temperature and tingling are both symptoms of course there are always other reasons for symptoms as well.
Yeeeeeees they are!!!!!!!!! And many many more 😔
How long are you in post menopause l think I am dyeing vertigo neausa and sore joints please thanks ♥️
I must have set some kind of speed record for getting a new allergy.
I got my soy intolerance/reaction after six weeks of integrating it into my diet for 'natural estrogen'.
😔
Thank you so much for the video.
You've mentioned before that you had this sudden stabbing pain under your heart. I have that, too. My heart is fine. I've been checked. What did you find out about that random stabbing pain. It's usually just a couple of minutes and then its gone again. Can you please give me a suggestion? Thank you ❤
There is something called precordial catch syndrome that explains sharp chest pain although it usually occurs in kids and teens. It rarely occurs in adults. I wonder in my case if it is a stomach issue or costochondritis. I wish I knew.
@@KariAnneWright Thanks 🙏❤️
Costochondritis is q possible.
I have found that not eating red meat has helped amazingly reduced hot flushes also bread with low carbs and seeded not grain reducing bloating feeling probiotics and prebiotics vitamin b 12 no smoking and no drinking . Who said life begins at 40😂😂😂😂😂We have to help each other💐💖
No sex drive! Night sweats 😢and chills 😢no more hot flashes 😢
😢
Glad to know I'm not the only one who had to give up alot of my favourite Yoga poses 😎☕💋
Does menopause and alcohol interfere? My husband says I swear profusely in the middle of the night after drinking. I never use to. 2-3 glasses of wine on a Saturday night seems to throw me off and sweating is even worse. I had to avoid drinking. Swearing is not in my general nature. I find that fascinating tgat it would spill out in my sleep under the influence!
Oh yes, and "AMPLIFIED;" you got that right.
Alcohol intolerance often happens. I can’t drink at all anymore.
I absolutely get panic/ sweating after drinking. I just stopped drinking 2 weeks ago after being borderline alcoholic for a year. I feel a lot better not drinking but miss it even though it made me feel shitty afterward.
Im going to relegate drinking on occasion like birthday or holiday no more than once per month.
Sinus issues have been so awful in post menopause for me. Anyone else?
😢
HI Kari, you mention parathesia. Are you referring to prickles and heat sensations or numbness sensations? Im experiencing numbness mixed with prickle's. Docs been trying to figure it out and we think a pinched nerve. Likely in addition to all the lovely menopausal symptoms im having.
Parwsthesia causes numbness, burning, pins and needles and tingling.
Im having both hands pinch nerves
Eating Chocolate late at night is a big no no now & I've noticed that around 3hrs after consumption is when it affects me with Anxiety or Panic attacks. Also for some reason I've had to pretty much quit my only cup of Coffee a day.... & it's Decaff!!!! I don't know what that's all about but would love to know if anyone else experiences that too. So weird & annoying!!!! 🙄💜
I had to give up coffee and I rarely eat chocolate anymore(and I love it). The scary chest flutters were not worth a coffee.
Hi Kari I've been suffering dizziness loss of balance for almost everyday in five years now...I've done my bloodchem and it's all at normal level...😞
I’m sorry to hear that. How difficult!😔
Same here
Same here…the feeling of using the same eye balls that I was born with but world looks like I am in a fish bowl. It disorients me….
Go see an ENT and make sure it's not an inner ear imbalance. I thought I was having stroke symptoms and found excessive downward dog yoga positions dislodged the crystals in my inner ear. Physical therapy can remedy this. I was so relieved to learn it wasn't something life threatening. It was very scary though.
Could it be the evorol Conti patches giving me neausa vertigo ❤
Hey, when that heat comes 😮u can’t sleep. Itching in my ear , does anyone have solutions.
What can I take to help.thank you
I suppose that depends on what symptoms you want to alleviate. Some women try hrt. I can’t use it. I use liquid collagen, a trebiotic, vitamins, diet and exercise.
Am always having hot flashes back pain, and bloating, and recently my left leg has been dragging me, my stomach is always uncomfortable.
😢
Me, feeling guilty because I'm living dangerously by having 2-3 cups of coffee per day. I feel crappy after each cup but it's so hard to stop drinking.
I managed to ditch the coffee ok but giving up my chocolate was hard.
Try a hot cup of cocoa
Doe decaffeinated coffee have the same effect on us
@@tamika7089 The caffeine in coffee elevates cortisol levels, the stress hormone. Decaf coffee has less caffeine but there is still some caffeine in it.

Hi karry im having gas pain in my right side some advice plz
I’m not sure what advice I can give not knowing what is causing your discomfort. Are you on a good pre/ pro/post biotic? Digestion slows in menopause so diet is important.
Are cooling or cold sensations symptoms? I've been experiencing this for a few months...no hot flashes
Cold flashes are a symptom.
Am also in full menepause what to do my ultrasound is normal
Is decaffeinated coffee ok? Personally, I don't even think about the caffeine in coffee. I have the gene that metabolizes caffeine quickly. For me, it's more about the routine.

So something i cant find an answer to, is there a phase after menopause? If not, does menopause get better? Because we're in menopause (or something) now for the rest of our lives (body 3.0) but do the symptoms lessen/go away eventually? Or is this like when our periods started and it never got better and we just figured out how to deal with it (body 2.0). I really hope its not like that.
Some feel better in post menopause while others still struggle with symptoms. We are all different.
How long ofter menopause u still get spotting and sometimes a little period
You should not have any spotting or bleeding in post menopause. Once you’ve gone a year without periods you are post menopausal. If you have bleeding in post menopause you should see your doctor.
I know that there's so many symptoms to menopause. But what is the worst symptom you've ever experienced?
Anxiety and pain are the worst for me because they interfere with my life the most.
@@KariAnneWright anxiety it the worst. I can't get control of it. I never had this much anxiety until 5 weeks ago. It's terrifying. Hugs ❤️
