Is there a way to connect your Rode Video Mic to OBS using the audio jack? I have one too and would like to connect to OBS. Do you think if I get the aux to USB adapter would that work with OBS?

I need your help. I have the Canon SL2, firmware is updated, I have
the webcam utility. Using OBS, with 2 other USB webcams. I want to switch
between the 3 cams, using the "auto" feature in OBS [that works].
When using the Canon as a Source with the USB cable, the shutter opens, and
I get a clean picture. When I click a USB webcam as a Source, the Canon
shutter closes, and I then see the USB webcam.
HOW CAN I PREVENT THE USB FROM CAUSING THE SHUTTER CLICK?
No one on youtube talks about this issue...everyone must mute their mic, so
we dont hear the click. I cant imagine...what if someone uses 3 DSLR cams
with OBS? Does it click between each cam take? That would be unacceptable.
So, I uninstalled the EOS Utility, plugged in usb to the Canon, to a capture
card, turned the Canon ON to the camera mode...plugged the USB into my
laptop, and the Canon preview screen went black...no life at all. Then in
OBS, it doesnt recognize the Canon's USB.
This is maddening.
The DSLR is NOT plug/play friendly. I just want to turn the Canon ON, then
in OBS, be able to switch to another USB cam, then back to the Canon, then
to another USB cam....all with silence. Is this possible?

i have a T6. usually when i try to record with it, it does stay open long. my podcast can go for 45 mins to an hour. will my T6 stay on longer going through OBS??

What if OBS isn't pulling up EOS Utility when I open a new Window or Video Capture in OBS? EOS Utility is open and I can see myself, but nothing shows up under Device when I try to create the Video Capture Source in OBS....

Hi, is this a good hd quality camera compared to logitech webcams like the c930/c920? Im new to this and im looking for a good HD canon camera for streaming that is way clearer than those. I notice some are very expensive and i have no idea which one to go with. I just want a good one with way better quality than basic logitech webcams. If you can give me any suggestions id so appreciate it!!
yes i have both the c920 and the cannon m50. The M50o is better by a lot
Did you find any limitations as far as resolution? I'm not able to record over 1280x720 but i'm pretty sure it's a limitation of the software, just not sure if it's on OBS side or Canon. Also, I can see that you cropped the M50 source, and i'm noticing black bars on my source as well, is that maybe another limitation you think?
That could be a limitation of the software but I was able to hit 1080p resolution and I did not have black bars but cropped for better visual. I don’t think it would be on the camera side but I’m not sure
I've got the issues here, max 720p and black bars around the video. Did you find a fix?

Restarting helped me if you had opened it up while installing eos webcam utility

I've got the Problem, that it dont work. It never shows the view of the canon kamera and in OBS studio is only the picture von EOS Utility Beta like in 4:22 .

Does your camera show up in file explorer at all? If not it could be a bad micro usb cable or the wrong software install as it has to be the one for your model
