- Building a guitar from a Seven Fanthoms Rum Barrel. This is a really nice barrel that they soak at 7 fanthoms deep. Ages the rum up so nicely. I really need to get a bottle of this stuff.

There's no "n" in Fathom 😂. But I love the guitar!
Also, the "K" is silent.
Keith has his Humbucker installed upside down on his favorite Telecaster.

These are mine. Awesome sound and feel. Gives me the Blues sound I’ve been looking for. 1 is for me and 1 is for Cayman Spirits Co.
Nice!!!
I love the look of the rum barrel guitar, you always make them really cool looking, but you have really dialed in the sound, that sir is one awesome guitar ! love your work !
I'm in love!
OMG, this video gave me G.A.S.! :) Loving it!
Very cool! I've been to Cayman and Seven Fathoms several times and their rum is excellent!
Cool!
Barnwood Builders use an aging agent to make new logs blend in well with older logs. It may be a proprietary formula.
So cool to the your process! I especially like how you create the dust for the inlays, I'll have to try that in future.
It’s really nice
Yes sir!
Very nice looking, playable, advertisement!
Still one of my favorite beverage guitars
Noice! Wish I could get my hands on that rascal!
That’ll do!
That aged kinda sun bleached wood just looks gorgeous 😍
Rally love it!!!
That looks and sounds the nuts, have you ever considered using a veneer around the sides? It could serve as a binding perhaps, or have the top and back over hang.....ya probably a lot of work.
I love how that turned out! Too cool.. but IMO I think the bright silver chrome of the hardware sticks out a bit. Although you can't get aged and darkened hardware unless you do it yourself with caustic chemicals, so That's a compromise you have to make. I wouldn't want to take a good set of new tuners and mess them up unless I knew exactly what I was doing. It still looks awesome. Plus I love that logo. You're making me want one! haha!
The hardware has been aged. I stopped using acid. I run it in a shaker now. Slightly different
Come on guys....100 + views and only 12 likes....Help the man out.
Thank you. I get lost in UA-cam land
Very cool guitar. I think this my favourite build of yours (and I don't really like Teles).
Very cool! Who makes that bridge?
Beautiful guitar as always! Just curious, do you have plans to build more of the Justin Johnson whiskey barrel guitars?
Yes he has two coming shortly. A fixed bridge and a bigsby
Niiiiiiceee! what wood was used for the guitar neck?
White oak
Você pode fazer uma belíssima guitarra Telecaster feito de barril de whisky pra mim pra eu poder tocar country sertanejo 🤠.
Not sure if you mentioned it in the video and I missed it, but how much did it end up weighing?
Gorgeous guitar man! I know this is a personal preference thing, but when you are running a humbucker / single coil setup, what resistance do you select for the pots?
250k. I know I should go to 500 but I like it
@@bigdguitars Hey man that neck sounds great in the clips. Only thing that matters is the results! Thanks for the info.
Great job. You can make your own weathering solution - just boil a jar of white vinegar and dissolve some fine steel wool in it. Bingo.
white oak doesnt move around?
Rumbucker
Dropped barrel of rum where in the ocean exactly
Hey Big D. Would be cool if you can make a review on the new sanding tool.
I will do that.
The bridge saddles are in the wrong order. That would be impossible to intonate.
I’ve just realised- are you not entering GGBO this year?
No I am a judge
@@bigdguitars incredible! Rightly so sir
Who is the other guy??
Just threw away a couple of solid wood toilet seats.
Sh1t idea but could have used the lids for a guitar body
Just something bog standard.
That’s another 2 cigar build 😬
Awesome!!!
very cool looking and sounds just as good......🎸❤
