Brad, I can think of no greater compliment than this kind of friendly, dare I say brotherly, teasing! It is a testament to the respect you have earned, and the impact you have had, on the UA-cam guitar builder community! I WISH I had such a skilled builder honor me in this way! I'm curious to see what kind of friendly trash-talking follows among the other GGBO builders!
I absolutely love what you did with this. A bold move going for no cutaway, it gives off a classical instrument vibe while being an electric guitar and the wood you used is just stunning. Brilliant work.
Being following you now for several years. You inspired me to build my own guitar, a Solo, Les Paul Spalled Maple Top. It turned out great. You were just getting going with your channel ,with not a lot of followers. Think I just entered , building a guitar on You Tube, and you came up. Glad to see that you’ve become a huge ,top tear guitar guy on You Tube.
I knew I was going to love this video and build from the very start, with the way you introduced your materials! I loved every bit of this build, including a hidden lamination of 'Brad'! 😆 Great job!
Beautiful! I built (assembled) an LP guitar from a pre-cut kit and I found that daunting - I can't imagine how much work was involved in this build (in real time)! I'm impressed.
j'adore.
Welp, after watching going to have to go get some tickets for that beauty. Already have many tickets for Brad's build, plus a few other builds as well, now to add this one to the list of chances. Still learning to play, but would be great to have a one of a kind guitar to play someday.
Beautiful guitar. Would have liked the inner of the f-holes white to match the binding. They would really pop! But absolutely gorgeous and great detail.
Firstly just to say that it’s a beautiful guitar, l am building a single cut with a Birdseye top, love your colour choice. Wondering if you would mind telling me the colours of the dyes and the sequence you used to achieve the burst. Also what did you use to seal the dye before final oil coats. Thanks Regards Maurice at ML Guitars The
Wouldn't it been easier to maybe, to cover certain holes with painters tape for getting to pull snake lines for the electronics wires inside the body cavity with a suction vacuum. Just wondering, if it would have saved some time and aggravation, in that process ... just curious if that could even help ... sort of like electricians do through feeder pipes. Great looking and sounding AX. No wonder it received a 1st place award. BRAVO, Sir. That really turned out super cool ... cheers!!!
I have no idea who that guy is. That aside, this was a phenomenal build. I would happily gig that if I were still in my gigging days!! Beautiful result and sounds great!
As a woodworker and a guitarist I loved the build. Had me a little worried at 1st with tossing the material around and the veneer, the final was outstanding. Great sound. Is there a way to find out what pickups were used? I would love to build a F-Hole curved top LP shape/size similar to the way they build archtop guitar.
Great build!. Brad tone sauce gives a guitar that special sound and feel. I really liked the oval neck pocket (guessing you had to shape the neck tenon also ). I really wish you showed how you did that.
Ah, yeah. It was a strat kit, so the neck carve continued into the neck pocket. I basically just cut the neck slightly at the body joint with a tenon saw, inlaid the ebony in the body, and then shaped it to fit. Didn't think anyone would notice!
Beautiful built! But I wonder how much hollow body vibe it actually has since sides, top and back are pretty thick and it has a sound post. I am guessing it responds and sounds more like semi/335 design? (nothing wrong with that)
Without a doubt, a beautiful guitar and masterfully built. One point though, I would have liked to have seen an open slot headstock with three tuners each side. I don't feel the traditional six on one side with this excellent body shape does it for me. Not a big concern. I particularly liked the smaller front bout that you have designed and the F holes. Cheers from Australia!!
As usual nice work Brad, your finishes are always great. What glue did you use for the binding ? Also would laminating the veneers work using Titebond ? Keep them coming mate.
Other than the staining (which was absolutely horrible) and the less-than-adequate finish, this was a very interesting build. I wish you had explained more what you were doing and the materials you used at each step.
Great work, I`m a bit baffled as to what you were trying to do with the veneer. but, fantastic job, reminds me of a B&G Little Sister. OH, & what pickups did you use? (These are the things we need to know)!
Amazing build, and really great general woodworking technique! I've never seen a hole saw used like that... and were those shower curtain rods you used as clamps? Very clever and effective, thank you!
Q? What would that go for ... great size and finish. I could go on a jonze for something like that. What type of pickups are in that guitar? P-90/hum style similar to the Australian made JJ Pickups, I bet that they would sound super in one just like that one. Thank you for your build, Sir!
Not too sure, I'm not an electric guitar maker. Somewhere around £3k I'd guess, although it'd be a bit better thought out than this one! Pickups were just what Crimson supplied. P90s would be my preference if I made another 🙃
Awesome build, love the burst you achieved & Brad’s face 😂 good luck for the competition. Can I ask, what was the tool you had in the pillar drill when you were shaping the front of the headstock?
@@CranmerGuitars that sound it made was priceless. I'm so sorry I know that sucks so bad. I bet you had to take that whole harness out re solder and fish all that in again. That's the worst and the kind of luck I have. I'm impressed how composed you appeared to be after that. Anyway that's an awesome build! Thanks for sharing!
Haha there was more of me than there was of the original kit body when you finished that. Awesome build.
Brad, I can think of no greater compliment than this kind of friendly, dare I say brotherly, teasing! This has to be one of the most beautiful guitars I have ever seen.
Great work!
Thank you! ❤️
For some reason I'd call this guitar "handsome" instead of beautiful, but I don't know why....
I absolutely love what you did with this. A bold move going for no cutaway, it gives off a classical instrument vibe while being an electric guitar and the wood you used is just stunning. Brilliant work.
Oof…that tone pot 🥲 that hurt to watch. Excellent build man! Beautiful. Love the top
It was a vibe killer for sure 🥲

I like the idea of a smaller hollow body like this. The violin-esque tail piece is beautiful.
Ebony tailpieces are the best
I knew I was going to love this video and build from the very start, with the way you introduced your materials! I loved every bit of this build, including a hidden lamination of 'Brad'! 😆 Great job!
Fantastic! Nothing like a new guitar that looks like it already knows the music you'll both be playing!
Beautiful! I built (assembled) an LP guitar from a pre-cut kit and I found that daunting - I can't imagine how much work was involved in this build (in real time)! I'm impressed.
Brilliant, gorgeous, and sounds beautiful. Well done! Me want. ;o)
A brilliant mix of classic and modern to make something truly beautiful. I wish I had the patience to make something like this
That looks and sounds great.
Great build! Love the tailpiece and the finish especially.
Cheers! Can't beat a good ebony tailpiece 😉
Wonderful sound has this guitar, Bravo Master, that is the masterpiece
Love this guitar. wow, amazing work.

Most beautiful GGBO ever man! Congrats
Looks great and sounds stunning. Thanx.
Beautiful! Love the talent.
Nicely done my friend. Lots of Brad love going on.
Absolutely gorgeous
One of my favorite builds I've seen this year!
Congratulations! You deserve it.
Cheers! That was a nice Christmas surprise!
I watched Ben Crow's review of this build and have to agree, well deserved first place. Wow! Beautiful instrument.
Best I've seen so far. Subscribed.
Thanks ❤️

Lovely bright sound - great work!
Absolutely love this one! ❤
Great build man! I really enjoyed it.
Кажется, это самая лучшая гитара, за которую я бы отдал свои деньги этому мастеру. 👍👍👍
Beautiful realization
WOW ,such an awsome build for a very lovely instrument...
✌😎👍

BY FAR my favorite of the build off
Woohoo thanks!!
Great work!

He's one of the other competitors and he kindly invited me to trash talk. Very Canadian of him. Glad you like it!
Beautiful work, love that tailpiece.
You are super talented. Well done
Wow!
Beautiful instrument.
Beautiful
Thank you, Sir Bonehead
Amazing work my man.

What is the brand of your pigments?
Thanks again
Fantastic work as always Isaac.
Cheers Symon! Hope you're well
Gorgeous.
fantastic work! (I wrote this message with my cnc machine. So now the question remains, did I REALLY write this?) :)
If you wrote the G-code by hand I'll let you away with it 😉
Stunning build!

Thanks. I agree - unfortunately the kit that crimson sent me was already cut for a 6 inline headstock 😔
A KEEPER! THANKS FOR THE VIDEO!
Loved, loved, loved the Brad face!!!!! Brilliant.
The face only a mother could love
Это очень красивая гитара. изумительный дизайн.
That's really great. I'm not even mad about the lack of cutaway.
Nice looking and sounding guitar well done.

You must have me mistaken for @BradAngove
Fantastically nice
I think your competitor won. He’s in your headspace. Kidding awesome build!!!!
You're probably right... Although his headspace is in my guitar, so I think I get the last laugh
Beautiful instrument, loved watching this video
Gorgeous guitar
The smashed veneer idea was an inspired one, even if it didn't work out for you.
I think I'd need to add the smashed veneer at the same time as the maple ones. It was only 0.6mm, so there'd be no room for error!!
Great work, I`m a bit baffled as to what you were trying to do with the veneer. but, fantastic job, reminds me of a B&G Little Sister. OH, & what pickups did you use? (These are the things we need to know)!
It was meant to be a kind of natural 'sunburst.' The pickups are just whatever crimson sent me - they weren't great #theaverageguitarbuildoff
That guitar sounds beautiful
Great idea
Very beautiful guitar.
Amazing.
Amazing build, and really great general woodworking technique! I've never seen a hole saw used like that... and were those shower curtain rods you used as clamps? Very clever and effective, thank you!
Thanks! You're right - they're shower curtain rods! They're really great for adjusting tension/ length
Just WOW. !! The coulour...Mmmmm
Beatiful guitar.
Love the video, love the build! What would give better tone though, a tone-Brad or a tone-Ben between the veneers?
I should have laminated Ben in the back and made them stare at eachother for eternity 🌚🌝
@@CranmerGuitars That would be hilarious! 🤣
awsome build ,Godbless
Comedy in luthiery. Brilliant!
Sweet!
Looks and sounds damn good
Sweet and simple yet utterly beautiful. Fantastic. I wish I could try it. Are you taking orders?
I'm planning on making a few of these in spring next year (minus Brad's face, of course.) Keep an eye out!
I think Brad was trying to pick up a few secrets! That really does look and sound amazing.
Brad gave me the extra tone I needed
+1 for the Modest Mouse tattoo! Great video man
Where do you get the arch top mold and vacuum bag supplies to do this? Very cool build!
I made the mould, and the vacuum bag was just a dust bag for my extractor
Q? What would that go for ... great size and finish. I could go on a jonze for something like that.

Love it! Maybe a bit of Fano inspiration there?
Bought a ticket for this before seeing the build. Fun little hidden feature you added.
I hope ol' Brad hasn't put you off!
@@CranmerGuitars oh no. It made me laugh, not as hard as your melon experiment.
damn that might be the very best guitar on the entire planet - i would play the holy shit out of that guitar every single day
Very nice guitar but what is the neck dive like on that headstock?
Good grief this cool!🎸😳🎸😳
Bonjour beau mec sur la photo ? Sinon la guitare est magnifique le contraste jaune et le blanc très bon choix 👍 très bon travail 👍👍👍🙋🏻♂️🙋🏻♂️
This is the one I picked for first and the one I wanted to win so badly, oh well maybe next time.❤
Awesome build, love the burst you achieved & Brad’s face 😂 good luck for the competition. Can I ask, what was the tool you had in the pillar drill when you were shaping the front of the headstock?
It's called the 'Safe-T-planer' from StewMac. Coincidentally it's the least safe planer I own
@@CranmerGuitars 🤣 thank you I’ll bear that in mind
That tone pot popping in made me laugh so hard I almost choked. That sucks after fishing all that through. I feel for you Man.
Im glad my pain brought you so much joy hahaha

очень крутое звучание середина одновременно плотная и воздушная)
