In this video I wanted to do a French style Barbie makeup look. I wanted to discuss with you some of the signature Chanel makeup products that Pati Dubroff used on Margor Robbie to create the Barbie makeup look.
I love talking about Chanel makeup and I thought it would be fun to use some of my favorite products from Chanel to create my version of the Barbie makeup look. 😊 I wanted to give is a French twist so this turned out to be a very easy every French makeup look. This is a very elegant and gorgeous Barbie look for sure! I would definitely recreate it myself. 😄🤩👍🏻 I do like the pink Barbie look for myself, and I did use the Tender or the Light Le Beige eyeshadow palettes by Chanel, too. I am also quite fair and the light version was rather orange-y on me! I thought I must be missing something since the bronzer is so frequently mentioned as a favorite across beauty YTers. Angela, have you ever had your colour draping done? I am fascinated with the colours of your top and how it works beautifully with your colouring. I keep trying to guesstimate what season you would be, but your undertone is quite difficult to nail down.
Hi Kate :) I meant to mention that the top is actually a dress that I made for myself. I love it so much that I have two lol. I have never had color draping done professionally. And you are right, my skin tone and undertones are hard to determine because most of the time I have neutral undertones. But depending on the season and the region where I live my skin changes a lot. If I spend more time in the south of Italy or south of France my skin gets slightly olive undertone even though it stays quite pale. There was time when I was mostly in England where sun is very mild and I get slightly cool undertones. I think I am in the middle between clear winter and and cool winter. :)
Hi Angela, thank you for sharing this elegant Barbie makeup look. Chanel, Lisa Eldridge, and Westman Atelier are my favourite brands, among other good ones that enhance natural beauty. Over the past years, I learned to do my makeup by watching @LisaEldridge tutorials. I have great respect for her work. Furthermore, I love her products, and her "Je Ne Sais Quoi" luxuriously lucent lipstick is a lovely summery touch of coral. Have you tried it? Hi Angela! This is a beautiful Barbie look and I love that you studied the pictures of Margot to recreate this look!! It looks so much more true to the film than many of the viral Barbie videos going around and very wearable! I love the Kjaer Weiss Blush and Les Beiges Tender palette! So pretty! I have a fun Barbie Makeup memory to share! When I was 5 years old my grandparents brought me to our local toy store to pick out 1 item of my choice. This is in 1982. I chose a "play blush" by Barbie and it was SO bright pink!!! I have pictures somewhere and although I had fun I think I looked like I had clown makeup on at the time! 😊 This look is so much better! It's so fun to play with color and I have similar memories from my childhood. I loved pink and believe it or not I loved glitter. I remember when I was a child once I saw a Barbie dress (very pink with some stones and pearls). I begged my parents to buy it for my birthday. My mom tried to convince me that it's too pink but I knew I wanted it so she finally bought it for me. I was the proudest person when I was wearing it. And I was wearing it a lot - I was looking forward to family holidays and reunions so that I can show off my pink Barbie dress. It had the cut of a Disney princess dress. Now looking back through the eyes of an adult who's worked in the corporate world for years, I would say I was the little clown in the family. But who cares. ☺ I had so much fun. I would recreate the look using the exact same products as you. I always get the best result. The Sisley pink lipsticks that you showed look gorgeous. Would recommend those? And how they wear? Thank you in advance for all the work that you put in these videos.
Hi Brenda, I love both colors. They are like lip balms but long lasting. I would recommend them. I've used these Sisley phyto lip twist for years. I just didn't have these two shades. They usually last for around 4 hours on my lips but it depends on how much I eat or drink. These are tinted lip balms so not really long lasting but the colors are very pretty and they keep my sensitive lips very well moisturized. The color payoff is great too. xoxo

sorry for my bad English, but if you want to have the 'real' French style, I suggest you should cut your hair until your shoulder. It's very stylish and lots of wonder women in Paris have such a haircut :-) . Am sure it would be lovely on you. Je te souhaite une agréable fin de journée !

Hi Olga, This is my take on the Barbie look so I wanted to use my favorite products. For the movie they used mostly Chanel and Lisa Eldridge makeup. About the lipsticks: I heard that they were mixing colors to match Barbie's outfits. I was inspired by the look of Margot for the London premiere ( the photo that I showed where they used Chanel's lip balm that I used and a Chanel lip liner. xoxo
