Hi friends, One additional tip on how to look younger: Please embrace your natural beauty. If you happen to have pigmentation or sun spots don’t cover them completely. Let them show through and wear them with confidence because these are the beautiful memories of your youth. Don’t erase them. YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL! ❤
I love this makeup look, Angela! This is great for the fall months. 👍🏻😄🤩 I am planning to buy the 31 Le Rouge by Chanel this coming weekend and I will let the community and you, know how it goes. Thank you, thank you for your tips and beautiful message, Angela! I hope Angela and all of you, have a great day! 🍁🍂💄🎨💝💕❤️
I bought the 31 Le Rouge de Chanel and have no regrets. The glass case is beautiful to look at and hold. It was a splurge but at my age I decided to treat myself. I’ll just eat soup for a month……lol…
Beautiful, however as someone that is much older than you…a statement lip no longer works on me. It is too harsh of a look and is aging. I personally think a lighter or satin/glossy look on the lip is more youthful. I believe the same applies for a lot of women my age and older. A red lip might be beautiful however it is not usually youthful looking. The rich pigment often accentuates a thinner aging lip and mouth area. You are still quite young Angela, so it will naturally look youthful on you. With some cheek colors I think the same concept applies❤️
Hi Jennifer :) Thank you so much for the tips. If you experience lines on the lips, then why not try a glossy or luminous fuchsia color on the lips. I keep insisting on fuchsia color because I think it makes a huge difference. I've seen it on a few of my neighbors and it looks fabulous. I do agree that a matte lip might accentuate fine lines and can be drying. I failed to mention to experiment with the textures. But, I really adore a luminous fuchsia color (not red but fuchsia) on the lips (my neighbors that I mentioned are in their 80s). If you haven't tried it and you want to try, I would buy the most affordable lipstick just to see. Sometimes that's how I experiment with trends that I'm not sure how will work. I get essence products because they are the most affordable in Europe. Then if I like it, I splurge on more expensive products. I've invited one of my neighbors to come for a makeup look but she is camera shy for now. I hope some day she will be a guest on my channel. :) Of course this is just an idea. xoxo
Wonderful look! As a ...hmmm, very mature ...woman, I appreciate your encouragement of a vibrant lipstick. The contrast really helps to wake up my skin and is so flattering Eyeshadows with a nice luminosity too .. again, they wake up my look and make me happy! Lovely tips Angela!
Hi Fiona :) This is the quickest and easiest way to apply blush and it usually looks so natural and beautiful. Thank you so much for watching my videos. Have a great day! xoxo
I find when older women, and I mean 70+, use too much color on the cheeks it looks clownish. Less is more as we age. I am over 70 and luckily blessed with high cheekbones and full lips and I still choose lighter colors on my lips and cheeks. Love your videos. I appreciate your light use of makeup . Looks beautiful . I got that Gucci highlighter when I was in London in June. Can’t buy it where I live.
Hello Angela. What a beautiful look. I am afraid to use really red lipstick because of my very thin lips. I do love a gloss since shine and bright come forward. I do have the Sublimage concealer. It took me a while to learn how to use it. When you think you have too little take a little less😂. Really. Now I can stop using it. Sending hugs from the “sunshine state” under the thread of a hurricane that we hope will go away. ❤❤😊
io trovo che qualsiasi rossetto, indossato da labbra come le tue, stia benissimo. Diventa un look molto raffinato. Mentre, spesso, le labbra gonfie risultano volgari con certi rossetti
I absolutely love love the concealer and I plan to repurchase when I run out. It takes very little, it lasts all day and doesn’t settle into my 74 year old wrinkles . Because it takes very little to cover my dark circles I don’t feel like the $95 purchase price isn’t bad if you figure out your cost per wear. I’ve spent more than that trying to find the perfect concealer for me. Just wish I could buy it locally.
Just beautiful, Angela. I made a special trip to the big city, to get the Sisley Paris Le Phyto Gloss in shade 1 Moon after seeing you use it on your channel several times. I don't wear a lot of gloss but was intrigued by the effect of making your lips look slightly larger. I have very thin lips and don't want to do anything unnatural like fillers. I was a little shocked on first application because the corners of my mouth got this really disgusting looking white goop. I don't know how else to describe it. It is the base color separating from the shimmer. I almost turned around and took it right back to the beauty counter. However, I was already quite a way home and I live 3 hours from the city so I decided to keep it and play with it a little. I am glad that I did. First, I had applied it just on my bare lips without any color underneath and my natural lip color is just not very attractive. Second, I applied way too much. I used the applicator and really put it on all over. I have learned that less is more and that I only apply to the center of my lips and fan it out without putting any in the corners of my mouth. Used sparingly this way, I love it. I also ordered several products from Westman Atelier and they will be my first products from the brand. I ordered the Pink Bubble powder and the Peau de Rose highlighter. Can't wait to try them. Thank you so much for your wonderful looks.
I will be 58 next month, and I think the Chanel Sublimate concleaer is the best I ever had. I just wish they did it in a pump not in a jar! Love the texture and how it sits and lasts... Lovely.
Perfect timing for a get ready video! ❤ Sunday mornings tend to be a nice, relaxing time to try new makeup looks. I agree with the Chanel Sublimage Corrector Yeux. I am 46 with combination skin, dryer around the eyes, some fine lines, light-medium skin with cool, rosy undertones and some blue capillaries showing. I use B30 (same as foundation color). It lasts all day long and smoothes fine lines! I also used a sample of the Saie Slip Tint with SPF 35 for this look and love the beautiful, glowing natural finish! 💐🌷💐
Hi Angela. Thank you so much for this lovely video. Very useful for me (mature). I can’t hear/understand the line you talk about from Chanel (eyeshadow.). Will you write it here?
Hello and good morning from Oregon, USA! I believe it is the Chanel Tisse line. One that she mentioned is the Tisse Rivoli, which looks so naturally beautiful! ❤ I have it on my 'to buy' list. If you put it in the Chanel search bar all the Tisse palettes will come up! I just wish we had a Chanel store close by so that I could swatch each palette on my skin! 😊
Hi lovely, Sara wrote it correctly "Tisse". When you see "Chanel Les 4 Ombres Tisse", this is a whole line of eyeshadows. Currently there are 5 eyeshaow palettes in the Tisse line - Tisse Cambon, Tisse Rivoli, Tisse Camelia, Tisse Cambon and Tisse Essentiel. All of these are beautiful and don't contain talc. xoxo
@@sarahogren3697 A very special THANK YOU for replying, Sara! 💞❤🌺 Love you so much! Sometimes I miss comments and I'm always so happy and grateful when I see someone replied. xoxo
Very pretty! I have two of the Cle de Peau eyeshadows and can’t wait to pick up more. I’ll have to re-create your look-I think I have everything you used. I need to give the Chanel concealer another go. It looks abnormally dry under my eyes and I’m 55 which seems to be tge target market. I love the Le Correcteaur de Chanel Longwear Correct Concealer, even when it’s paired with a color corrector, but the Sublimage looks and feels heavy.
I love and prefer your you tube channel above all other beauty channels. A huge gap between you to the next on the list! So just keep on, following your heart and gut feeling. Much love, Oddveig ⚘️♥️🌼
I noticed you did not set the under eyes with powder, even though the Westman Atelier Vital Skin powder you used, especially in Pink Bubble is well suited for this. Is it because the Chanel Sublimage concealer you used does not need any?
Regarding Chanel's Sublimage concealer, although it is expensive and its packaging is not ideal for travelling, I have found that it is the best product for my under eyes in covering those dark circles, in giving the eye luminosity, in making them appear more youthful, and in its long lasting, non-creasing ability. Having said all that, I don't use it on a daily basis as I rotate other concealers in my collection, but for special events, evenings out, or when my eyes look especially tired and need a little help, the Sublimage concealer is something I can count on to always deliver. That is why I'm planning to repurchase this product whenever I run out, (and it takes over a year to do that if not more as it is one of those HG items for me.
I have light-to-medium skin tone, and that little heavy black compact of Westman Atelier's Peau de Pêche is always, always in my bag because it works in so many ways to give a little life to the face without being detectable. From cheeks, eyelids, inner eye corners, lips, to cupid's bow, it caresses everything with a little light and refreshes my complexion immediately. It is one of those singular useful and dependable products. Perhaps it has to do with the tone of my complexion, but I'm currently testing out Gucci's Illuminateur de Beauté as an alternative, and although it is a beautiful product and you can mix it with foundation for a little glow as well as using it for the other features I mentioned, it does not have the same lasting effect for me. I find I enjoy both products and am looking forward to using the Gucci Illuminateur for the upcoming colder months, however, Peau de Pêche will always be my hero product.
I like when you do your skin care along with your make up. Just watching you do it helps me remember to always do skincare before, which I'm getting better at but it's still something I need to think about, or I run out of time. You created a very office friendly and beautiful look.
I made the mistake of recently blind purchasing J’Adore, and it is so not what I was expecting. It it just too much - nothing subtle. I do not plan to return it, but will seldom wear it. So note to our community: trust your own senses before making a purchase. Angela never recommended it as one of her favorites, I just fell prey to the pretty bottle. I do love the Cle’ de Peau shadows.
Hi Maureen :) Thank you for the kindest words! ❤ J'Adore is a rich floral perfume that I could never wear. I enjoy smelling it from time to time but it's a statement perfume and a lot of people love it. J'Adore a great evening perfume because it makes a statement and is great for going out and when you go to a restaurant because it's strong enough so that people around you will feel it but it's not too harsh for the evening. So maybe make it your special evening "go out" kind of fragrance. xoxo
