    I was so happy to see a new video from you today, Angela. I got home quite late from a full day of shopping with my mother. My mother had a brain tumor in 2007 and she had 6 surgeries over the course of the next year. We are so blessed that functionally she made a complete recovery but her personality was changed and she has a more aggressive temper than she ever had before. The closest place to shop is 3 hours away. She cannot drive of course. She is 87 now. It was a long and stressful day and I only planned to check my emails and head to bed. Then I responded to a few emails, decided to check out a few YT videos and ended up going down the YT rabbit hole. I am not sure if I missed your video on my feed but I was just getting ready to shut it down and saw it. These are wonderful tips. I rarely wear bronzer but really want to try the Chanel one after seeing you use it in many videos. I think when I go to Seattle after Christmas, I will have the opportunity to see it. I know that I frequently get my blush too far forward and that makes my face look fuller rather than thinner. I am going to try and be more aware of it when I am doing my makeup. I am loving this whole series and of course, you are looking gorgeous. I think I may try doing my mother's makeup for a nice Christmas photo that she can send to her grandchildren. Thank you for the inspiration. Have a lovely weekend! Hope you and Nick have some fun plans, even if it is staying home and being together. 😍🥰😍 Deborah

      Hi Deborah ❤ As always I am sooo happy to see you here! I literally wait for your comments. It's like catching up with a friend. My mom had cancer when I was in my early 20s. I would say that the illness changed her personality. She couldn't make it. I was devastated and it took me such a long time to start recovering. I am soooo happy that your mom fully recovered. This is a blessing even with a change in behavior. Oh yes, do her makeup. I think she will enjoy that :) You can both dress up and take photos :) This will be fun. Sending you virtual hugs! xoxo

    Very helpful tutorial. I have never used bronzer, but I think I will give it a try using your placement tips. The blush placement and eye shadow placement for hooded eyes are very helpful. I will be 70 next month, so these tips were very timely for me.

    • @Frenchforaday
      @Frenchforaday  10 місяців тому +1

      Hi Rhonda :) You can also do this technique also by only using blush. Just place it high on the cheeks where I placed it and drag it a little further. Experiment both ways with bronzer and only with blush to see which one you prefer. But overall this is a very easy technique that makes a difference in the face. 70 will be such a wonderful celebration :) Thank you so much for watching and have a great day! xoxo

    I love these makeup tips, so please keep them coming, Angela! 👍🏻🥰 I have tried the blusher and bronzer techniques that you have shown and they work beautifully. 😄🤩 The tip that I have is, I don’t do the tip of the nose highlighting. It makes my nose bigger and flatter looking, which I am not looking forward to. I have a round shape nose, so that could be the reason. Thank you, thank you for sharing, Angela! I hope Angela and all of you have a great day! 💄😄💝🤩💕

    Great video. Can you tell me which brand of eye shadow lasts the longest? Any that last all day? Thank you. I have been trying out the technique you showed in this video. Thank you!

    • @Frenchforaday
      @Frenchforaday  9 місяців тому +1

      Hello ❤️ It all depends on your eyelids and the application. If you want the eyeshadows to last all day, it's good to use an eyeshadow primer before applying the eyshadows. On me Tom Ford the wet and dry formula, Charlotte Tilbury and Chanel last very well. Pat McGrath also has very good formula if you like the colors. But whatever you choose eyeshadow primer is essential to make the eyeshadows last longer. xoxo

    • @wsd2456
      @wsd2456 9 місяців тому

      @@Frenchforaday Thank you so much! I tried the Urban decay and Anastasia eye shadow primers- both creased and didn’t help to keep my eyeshadow last. Recently I have been using concealer- which is better than nothing. Do you have an eye shadow primer that you can recommend for oily eyelids (although the skin under my eye and at the corners is more dry…). Thank you!! I have really been enjoying your videos. The eye looks are just beautiful!

    • @Frenchforaday

      Hi Delphine :) I always prefer bronzer because I find it works more natural on my skin. But you can do this with powder or cream contour. xoxo

  • @ireneshelley

    That is super helpful Angela! Thank you! I’m wondering what would be the technique and placement for bronzer if you don’t sculpt, but apply as a bronzer to give a bit more colour?

    • @Frenchforaday
      @Frenchforaday  10 місяців тому +1

      Hi Irene ❤ Use a bigger brush with a small amount of product and start from the outer part of your face slowly building up the color. You can always add more later. Sweep the bronzer along your cheekbones and around the perimeter of your face: focus on your temples, forehead and nose. Your goal should be to add a little product on the parts of the face where sun typically hits you. Avoid the under eye area. And don't forget the neck and chest if they are visible. Everything should match :) I hope this helps. xoxo

    I wish some creators I watch would stop with the full cheek blush and bronzer that practically goes to the corners of the mouth, and then the eyebrows looking like caterpillars. I have always said less is more.
