Margot got wind of it pretty early on, she never gave up on the idea and was relentless with Mattel and got Greta onboard and finally got the ok
Yess, since the first time they showed the set i've been thinking about that, it would be amazing and is going to make bank.... At least i hope they preserve the set.
I loved that one phrase towards the end saying you don't have to ask for permission to be human, human is just something you are. It kinda made me feel relieved about just having a time where I cry alot and am stressed and sad. I was like: yeah. there's bauty in it all. It's just being human.
I actually noticed how her costumes got softer and less doll like towards the end of the film but I couldn’t quite place my finger on what the subtle change was. Watching these interviews and behind the scenes content really goes to show the amount of detail poured into every single aspect of this movie and it really paid off!
she is so articulate and smart, knows everything down to the details...you can see how she's passionate about this film. margot has always been a great actress and im so happy and proud of her she just keeps stepping up her game!
Thank you to the producers for doing an interview that allows her to really talk more technically about the process. It's so much more refreshing to watch an interview that doesn't have a bunch of fluff questions and answers.
They need to do set tours or something with those life-sized barbie dream houses because I feel like so many people would love to see them in person lol
Fabulously made movie! America’s speech made the entire theater cry and I truly hope she gets an award for it!! Margot, Greta, and everyone involved in the making of this film, THANK YOU! ❤
This woman is so beautiful. But there's also something so warm and relatable about her. I've loved her since The Wolf of Wall Street and I'm happy to see her become this successful.
I'm so proud of Margot, she gave all of her into the production of this movie. The Barbie movie didn't only remind us of our childhood, it taught us deep life lessons throughout it. 🎀
When she talks about how they used softer fabrics for the costumes towards the end of the movie vs the ones used before, I realised that most actual Barbie outfits do look very stiff and geometrical on the dolls because the threads of the fabric are so much larger compared to the doll's size than to a human's, so even super thin fabrics don't create the same effect of softly wrapping the body. That's why the first costumes have a doll-like quality, whereas the yellow dress Margot wears near the end looks so natural. The attention to details in this movie is amazing.
I watched it twice because i loved it so much. I even wore a bright pink dress to the cinema just to feel connected to my inner little girl. My wardrobe is entirely black usually so it was fun to wear pink and watch somthing so fun and happy. So many parts made me emotional which shocked me alot. I honestly couldnt think of anyone better to play barbie 💜
It's so funny that the video is called "How Margot Robbie became Barbie" when in fact Margot Robbie looks exactly like Barbie without any preparation needed. She's super gorgeous!
I think it meant how she got into the mindset of the roles, much less looks. It takes a lot more for actors to get into the mental role and that takes all the research Margot Robbie was describing.
So glad mattel agreed to the script and greta + the whole team listening to margot’s suggestions like including aqua and so much more the movie came out perfect
