Lou Gramm was the lead singer of "Foreigner". In all the lists of the G.O.A.T. rock singers, he rarely makes those lists. Just goes to show you what people don't know. He could easily hold his own with Plant, Daltrey, Rodgers, any of them.
Agreed. He's one of the best ever in my book. I think he's overlooked because Foreigner wasn't taken as seriously as your Led Zeppelins - by the critics that is.
@@davidolson2729 Yes, Midnight Blue is required listening. In an unlikely twist, REM did a cover of it. Not sure if they ever recorded it in a studio though.
Holy fuck is this real ? I cannot believe they are not in the Rock hall of fame for this song alone. Thats Rush levels of disrespect by the Rock hall of fame,
@@markbartoszek8585 It's been well-documented that Mick and his (then) friend Jan Wenner who runs the RRHOF got into a big shouting match in Jan's office and at the end of it Jan vowed "Foreigner will never get into the RRHOF on my watch". It's all political and anyone with any kind of rock knowledge knows Foreigner should've been inducted twenty years ago if it was a legitimate institution...which it certainly is not. Jan Wenner is the same AH who said on Joe Rogan's show that he's in favor of the American government censoring it's citizens. Joe called him out on it and he tripped all over himself trying to defend his ridiculous position. The RRHOF is a joke and a sham and as a day-one diehard Foreigner fan I no longer give a crap if they're ever inducted. Jan Wenner is a douchebag.
Foreigner had a lot of great rock songs back in the 70's and 80's like this one. Others to check out: Waiting for a Girl Like You, Cold as Ice, Feels Like the First Time, Hot Blooded, Dirty White Boy, Double Vision, and Head Games
There is just as much talent today, but it's all ruined by auto tune, half written songs, and zero rehearsals. I watched a breakdown of the itunes top 10 yesterday, and none of them even have parts to the song. No chorus, no bridge, no nothing. One chord progression the whole time. That's barely music.
Foreigner was a hit machine in rock music. They were my first favorite rock band, and changed my music taste forever. I would play that Foreigner 4 cassette on my boom box over and over, and I also had the eight track cartridge to play at home.
Lou Gramm is one of THE top singers of all time; up there with Steve Perry of Journey, Brad Delp of Boston, Steve Walsh of Kansas, Freddie Mercury of Queen...some of my fav male rock singers.
This is what we call A BANGER!! Lou Gramm , tremendous lead singer.. can't go wrong with this band.. any type of rock, soft or hard.. .. nice reaction..
Can't mess with Lou Gramm's voice! This is one of those he just reaches for the beyond and nails it. One of my favorites is Long Long Way From Home. You should check out Blue Morning/Blue Day, Double Vision, Feels Like the First Time.
One of their more timely, classic messages that will take you to Church is, "I wanna Know What Love Is" 😉 pleeeeze check it out. Love them, love their many classic hits, love you two 💞
Foreigner is definitely in my top ALL TIME bands- Can’t wait for more! Definitely “Hot Blooded”, “Waiting for for a girl like you” “Feels. Like the first time”, and,on.......much love always y’all-💖💙
Wife here..Seen these guys a few years ago with Whitesnake...Awesome!!..With this particular song the lead singer..came out of the ground into the air over everyone on a high platform..It was AMAZING..."ASIA.., "the ear against the wall" IS such an amazing line and BJ ...Thank you for the Insighful description!!!..
pretty much the story of all of us young rock fans from the 60s, 70s. Seeing and hearing our favorite rock stars would make us go learn the guitar, ASAP, with dreams of being on that stage too.
another great reaction from you guys. And here’s a little bit of info the lead singer Lou Graham is still performing and I am going to see him tomorrow night and I am totally psyched. Foreigner is my favorite all-time Classic Rock group. I’ve loved everything they’ve ever done even the albums that aren’t as well known, this group is incredible and deserves to be in the rock ‘n’ roll Hall of Fame. It’s a travesty that they are not in it as of yet. Thank you for reacting to this video and making some new fans.
Lou Graham was an awesome vocalist, I remember him before Foreigner, he was in a hot New York State band called Black Sheep, those guys could flat out play. Try Paying Your Dues by them, it is a banger and Lou is already great. Enjoy! 🎸
Music legacy, 45 years of great music, PINK FLOYD, Metallica, Deep Purple, Kansas, SRV, ACDC, Rainbow, Van Halen AND MANY MORE ITS ENDLESS. Love how you two appreciate great music.
Don't think I've ever seen BJ crack a smile like that when the chorus kicked in before 😁 Great song! Foreigner are still touring, albeit with a different line-up... The music is still amazing! I'll be seeing them next month (supporting Whitesnake) and I can't wait🤘
Journey, Foreigner, and Styx was the concert I saw when I was 13 and I can’t tell you what a show that was. Journey headlined it but foreigner killed it absolutely that night!
My favorite Foreigner song. The vocals, instruments, lyrics that tell a story, it rocks with some funk which is perfectly timed. Y'all got some great songs and reactions going. ✌😎
A huge hit with Lou Gramm being one of the best lead vocalist in rock history. I almost was able to see Lou as a so,o artist in a free town park concert though as the concert began it starting thundering and lightning and so it was canceled in the middle of the first song!
Lou Gramms voice is amazing. Hot Blooded and Cold as ice are jams. This album is great too, they are great live I saw them on the Foreigner 4 tour Nice Reaction. 👍
Lou graham had to quit the band due to a brain tumor!! However he did surprise audiences when he showed up and performed at their 40 year reunion!! Awesome
Lou Graham was one of the best rock singers. Others have pointed out some of their rocking hits. I would like you to also listen to their ballad “I want to know what live is”. Touching and really shows off his voice.
Love watching yall yalls videos get me through my days I'm a truck driver and I really like watching everyone's shows but your is favorite with no life shack
Had me a boom box, with Dolby Noise Reduction, dual cassette...played this tape til it broke. then i bought another...what a time the 80s were...loud and proud
Lou Graham is the lead singer! Great , great voice! Brings back the late 70’s and 80’s! The days when we thought we could rock on and be young forever! Time flies enjoy the music!!
I have to say that I appreciate that you guys always "like" my comments. It's not so much that I need a pat on the back but it shows that you read your comments which I appreciate so much. Happy Easter you guys!
Mick Jones lead guitarist said in a interview there is a true story behind this the story was there was a fan outside in the rain and he saw him and took him into the show and treated him with backstage to meet the band! I'm sure that made that kid night! Give the song Long Long Long way from home from there 1st self titled album side 2 1st song a listen!
This is really another anthem that just kills! As you all said this is really a song about getting a spark. Inspiration plus perspiration, and some luck, here comes a star. Cold as Ice, and Double Vision are both awesome as well.
This was the first song I ever heard by Foreigner, but it was by a local cover band in Maryland. I became hooked on Foreigner. So many great songs came from them.
Foreigner was great, lots of good stuff in their catalog. They changed lead singers though and re-recorded a lot of their songs and they aren't as good as the originals to me. You got the right version here. 👍
Oh yeah guys!!! You can not go wrong with these guys! So so many great songs to choose from with these rock magicians. Luv it! Thx guys yet again for your reactions!!¡
Another fun reaction. And yeah, Lou Gramm could really belt. If you want to catch him singing really beautifully on an actual mellow song that is really well done and keep in mind the backing vocals in this band are also fantastic. But off their very first album, is a song called Star Rider. It's worth a listen even if you don't first react to it. After second album, I saw them in high school and really bonded with some of their emotionally intense ones like blue morning blue day. And also, cold as ice. Both of those were huge hits.
Such a great rock band and phenomenal song! The vocals and harmonies, the guitar rifts during the chorus, the overall feel of the song is great rock music!
used to rock this one foriegner was blowing up in 81 82 i think this was on the radio We jammed to it and Ghost riders in he sky by the outlaws and JOHN COUGAR when i fight authority .
I probably heard this song 500x and still got goosebumps.. It's just so different feeling like you're watching it with people who never heard it before.
Ok I love your guy's reactions and I used to drop comments every day requesting like a specific 3 or 4 songs.....still haven't gotten to it yet so this isn't a request this time, this is me begging for one song from you guys....please please choose between these 2 videos if you really like Heart or Pink Floyd.....Mona Lisa's and Mad Hatters by Heart alive in seattle, or, maybe one of the best performances of all time, Pink Floyd finally reuniting Live from Live 8 2005 doing Comfortably Numb. PLEASE PLEASE
Great reaction as always. One of my faves by Foreigner. I was born in ‘81 so I remember their later hits… I Wanna Know What Love Is is great like others have commented but the song I remember most by them that you should check out is I Don’t Wanna Live Without You, like I said great somg

Agreed! They need to check out his solo effort “ Midnight Blue”. As good as any of the Foreigner hits in my opinion.
Agreed. He's one of the best ever in my book. I think he's overlooked because Foreigner wasn't taken as seriously as your Led Zeppelins - by the critics that is.
I'm fairly sure that in 'Classic Rock's poll, he came third behind Steve Perry and Brad Delp
@@davidolson2729 Yes, Midnight Blue is required listening. In an unlikely twist, REM did a cover of it. Not sure if they ever recorded it in a studio though.
Absolutely!
It's a dam shame that foreigner is not in the Rock and Roll hall of fame. They are way over due.
What?! Are you serious? How the fuck are they not in the RRHOF?!

Great suggestions 😊💗💖
Also "Long Long Way From Home", one of my favorites.
You nailed the song recommendations
Dont forget Urgent
Isn't it incredible how much talent came out of the sixty's and seventies.

The greatest era in history for music no doubt.
Todays auto tuned, sampled rubbish is laughable by comparison.

Asia & BJ, their "Cold As Ice" and "Double Vision" are next for you!!
Add Head Games and I'm with ya!
This album was so epic, my parents bought themselves a copy and one for me and one for my brother for Christmas that year.
Still my favourite rock album ever. With Journeys ESCAPE a close second. 1981 was a great year for ROCK.
Another one of those songs you always heard at the roller rink 🤣 Awesome band, never gets old.
When my son was ~4 years old he lived this song and was into guitar... we called it Juicebox Hero
Foreigner is definitely in my top ALL TIME bands- Can’t wait for more! Definitely “Hot Blooded”, “Waiting for for a girl like you” “Feels. Like the first time”, and,on.......much love always y’all-💖💙
Love the fact that Vinyl/ turntables are coming back

College tunes from Foreigner. These were anti disco anthems. Lou Gramm’s voice and Mick Jones songwriting and guitar. Magical 🪄 🪄🪄🪄

Their harmonies are amazing. They did an acoustic version of this album. You get to hear all the layers of their voices
Starrider is one of the most amazing but overlooked Foreigner tunes.

I remember when this came out, high energy uplift song
The climactic "JUKEBOX HERO!"
