As a young child I found this cassette tape on the side of the road after someone threw it out of their car, apparently in anger after it had broke. I was able to fix it because the tape or ribbon broke at the very end of the spool and the cassette was even held together by screws. How lucky was I for this to be my first album to own?
Geeze, this takes me back to my teenage years where these songs were new and being played on the radio and practically every song, one after the other rocked! You could go see bands in concert for about ten dollars. The 70's were a great time to grow up.
Loved this song so much back then, still love it today! I leave she 58 and become myself in my youth! Everything these guys did was a hit! Lou Gramm’s voice is so distinctive!
Great reaction!! Foreigner has many great hits but I like their earlier stuff like "Feels Like The First Time" and "Cold As Ice"...but this one is definitely a jam.
Thematically lyrically, this song for me goes hand-in-hand with Shooting Star by Bad Company, Turn the Page by Bob Seger, and Limelight by Rush. Different sounds stylistically, but variations on a theme story wise.
Also check out their songs, Urgent, Cold As Ice and Hot Blooded. Great, great songs! Also, please check out a band called Player and their hit song, Baby Come Back.
I'm a 65 year old rocker from the past ( and still am). I love seeing your reaction to this song. It's one of my many faves. Thanks guys...glad you enjoyed it . Keep um coming !
Sooo Glad I grew up with Foreigner, they friggin' Rock! Lou Graham is an outstanding singer . . . Raised my kids on this kind of music! 💜💜🤘 Great Reaction Guys, I love this channel! 😚🍷
Love this song which is from 1981 and I'm so glad you reacted to this version with Lou Gramm as the singer! It's fabulous, I listen to it a lot, and this guy's voice is insane! Yes, you can't help singing the chorus, it's fantastic. I was waiting for your reaction when the guitars thundered in at the beginning, it's a real shock but so good! Great reaction guys, thanks so much. By the way, just been reminding myself of this album 4 on Spotify, some great songs on it, including Night Life and I'm Gonna Win - a couple of cracking rock songs, especially Night Life! the latter reminds me a little bit of an AC/DC song, nothing wrong with that! I've just watched a couple of live versions of this on UA-cam and one of them is called Foreigner - Juke Box Hero & Whole Lotta Love (Soundstage) and the drummer was Jason Bonham! It was great, loved it, lasts about 12 minutes, guitar solos - wow!!. The other live 2010 Nashville version was fabulous too.
Picked a great rocker! I Love when you both react naturally, as I did when I first heard these songs. From my lucky generational perspective, I am still most fond of the 60s and 70s. Keep on truckin, my brothers from other mothers.
You guys are fun, you got a new follower. Everything Foreigner does is fantastic, but most is rock, not soft. Love that you aren't afraid to sing along. I've blasted Foreigner throughout my house, and in my car for years. Great to get the blood going and bring a smile to your face.
Love your reaction to Foreigner one of my favorite bands singer is amazing very powerful voice on him please continue more music by Foreigner it will blow your mind!
Thanks for this emotional flashback!!! My dad had this album and I found it in the mid 80s when I was about 9. This might be the moment when my music taste was set 😊
Foreigner is a great British-American rock band who started in 1976. They had a lot of great hits such as "Feels Like The First Time", "Cold As Ice", “Hot Blooded”, "Urgent", "Waiting For A Girl Like You", "Double Vision", "Blue Morning, Blue Day", "Dirty White Boy", "Head Games", "Break It Up", "That Was Yesterday", "Say You Will", "I Don't Want To Live Without You" etc.
Both songs "Jukebox Hero" and "I Want To Know What Love Is" came out in the 80's and both are great, but some of their best stuff was in the 70's, songs like, "Feels Like The First Time", "Hot Blooded", "Head Knocker", "Blue Morning, Blue Day", "Head Games", "Cold As Ice", "Double Vision", "Long Long Way From Home", "That Was Yesterday" and "Love Has Taken Its Toll", all of these are just the best (I M O) of Foreigner from the 70's. Definitely enjoyed this reaction, thanks!
When this came out, I cranked up the car radio every time the radio played it and I was driving. Had no A/C so it went out to the world. So good, soo much fun
Great reaction as always guys..your real and can see that you really love the music,I first heard this band when I was stationed in Mississippi in the navy 1977 some one put a quarter in the juke box and played two songs one was feels like the first time and just so happened on tv in the bar was the Ali Spinks fight never forgot this band...many many great songs ..try Rev on the redline, fun to watch people hear the first time music I heard maybe 1000 times you help bring back my first..very cool guys keep spreading the music around Godbless. (Central virginia)
Every year in Seattle Washington on New Year’s Eve for about 5 yrs in a row This band and Heart played at the Seattle Center!!! What an awesome way to enter in the New Year!!!
Foreigner, Boston, Heart, Peter Frampton, the re-vamped Fleetwood Mac, Bad Company..,…they all broke right around the same time…1977….GREAt year for music!
Foreigner IV was recorded from December 1980 - April 1981 and released in July 1981. "I Wanna Know What Love is" from their Agent Provocateur album was recorded from October 1983−July 1984 and released in December 1984.
JBH tells a great story in a song which is always cool. You see the man standing behind a auditorium waiting to get his chance. And then the chance arrives and the singer hits it. Love good story songs.
Love Foreigner! Had all their albums on vinyl back in the 80s, saw them live a couple times. Just straight ahead rock you can't help but dance to, always preferred them to Journey.
That guitar drop.... Damn. You know you have a catchy tune when the guitar solo is the least interesting part of the song. "Urgent" please! Same album.
URGENT makes me itch to dance my arse off. Can't anymore but it feels good anyway. Also you can have good sax or you can have AWESOME sax, Urgent has awesome. If you are going to have sax, have the best. And they did.
Foreigner reigned over the radio waves and for good reason. Soaring guitars and Lou Gramm's soaring vocals. Lou had one of the most powerful chest voices in rock.
and now you have discovered foreigner ! ROCKIN i know what kinds of my era get you guys off -trust me do 3 by blue oyster cult 1. dominance and submission-original studio- ROCKS 2. before the kiss a redcap-original studio ROCKS WITH COMPLETELY UNIQUE RHYTHM CHANGES 3. ASTRONOMY-original studio EPIC EPIC do a star set of groups =3 songs by same group the songs in that order-it would show people great classic stuff the real thing not plastic media !!!!!! authentic party music at the time -i lived it.....
Yeah! Foreigner rocks hard! Epic 70s & 80s radio goodness! (JukeBox Hero & IWTKWLI), "Cold As Ice" "Hot Blooded" "Feels Like the First Time" "Double Vision" "Blue Morning, Blue Day" "Urgent" "Dirty White Boy" "I've Been Waiting For a Girl Like You"
Foreigner is awesome. You should also check out their songs "Urgent," "Hot Blooded" and "Waiting for a Girl Like You" (a hauntingly beautiful ballad that peaked at No. 2 on the U.S., pop charts for 10 weeks but never quite reached No. 1).
Always loved this Foreigner song. Great seeing your reaction. Made me fall in love with the song all over again after so many years. 😍 Listen to their song Urgent.
Cold as Ice; Urgent; Hot Blooded; and, Feels Like the First Time... for sure. But there's also Double Vision; Head Games; and, Dirty White Boy. A fascinating rabbit hole to go down... have fun!
Maybe one of you patrons can get these guys to react to some Motown and R& B. Artists like Harold Melvin and the Blue Notes and their song, The Love I Lost, Billy Paul and his song, Me and Mrs. Jones, Gladys Knight and the Pips, and their song, Slow Train to Georgia and, , Donny Hathaway and his brilliant song, A Song For You. Groups like The Spinners, The Temptations, The Stylistics. These groups are a big, big part of the fabric of American music. And the music is just fantastic. These guys haven’t reacted to any of it. And they’re so missing out on some brilliant songs. Maybe a patron can plant the seed and maybe… hopefully they’ll stretch themselves and venture outside the box. Would appreciate anyone’s help in also suggesting some of these artists and songs to them. Thank you fellow reaction watchers. Oh, almost forgot… The 5th Dimension… One Less Bell To Answer… awesome vocals.
Epic reaction to an epic song! Actually, both songs ( "Jukebox Hero" and "I want to know what love is") Are both from the same album, Foreigner 4, which, if memory serves, was released around 1983. While there are a lot of great foreigner songs, A song that I would love to see you guys react to guys react to is the song "all I ever wanted" by Santana. I thought of this song because it too has an epic ending that I think you will like. It burns fast and furious right up to and including the ending.
Bro's, you'll love their "Cold As Ice", "Urgent" and "Hot Blooded" !!!
They are so under-rated :)
Urgent was the best skating rink song when it came out.
midnight blue is a brilliant track aswell guys
@@williamking1554 That's solo Lou Gramm but definitely a great track.
Yes!! All great songs
Lou and Mick made a powerful force in rock. Foreigner is a favorite band.
Have a great day!
Lou Gramm from my hometown of Rochester, NY. He's done the city proud and he's a genuinely nice guy.
My favorite Foreigner song. They were great in concert.
Jukebox was also popular in the 70s 80s and I'll say 90s. Still popular bars. Foreigners awesome loved everything they do
Foreigner are LEGENDS!
That is about as pure and perfect as music can be. F*** yeah.
The unmistakable vocals of Lou Gramm 🔥🎤🎸♥️
As a young child I found this cassette tape on the side of the road after someone threw it out of their car, apparently in anger after it had broke. I was able to fix it because the tape or ribbon broke at the very end of the spool and the cassette was even held together by screws. How lucky was I for this to be my first album to own?
That's fvckin awesome.....!
I love that🤟🏻
this is literally warming my heart.
Back in the day, we actually figured out how to fix things instead of automatically throwing it away. Great story
This is incredible! 🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
Geeze, this takes me back to my teenage years where these songs were new and being played on the radio and practically every song, one after the other rocked! You could go see bands in concert for about ten dollars. The 70's were a great time to grow up.
Amen sister,
Loved this song so much back then, still love it today! I leave she 58 and become myself in my youth! Everything these guys did was a hit! Lou Gramm’s voice is so distinctive!
But this is an 80s song, so how does that relate to the 70s?
I kind of forgot how great this song is. Stellar.
One of the greatest vocal Rock performances ever....
This tape had a permanent place in my car tape deck for MONTHS after I first heard this song.
I remember when first came on the radio. Blew us away.
Great reaction!! Foreigner has many great hits but I like their earlier stuff like "Feels Like The First Time" and "Cold As Ice"...but this one is definitely a jam.
❤️❤️❤️
When this song first came out we would go crazy listening on our boom box. Shows how old I am. Haha. (57). 😎
This is one of the best rock albums of the 1970s.
Those are the pipes on Lou Gramm!
I am 74yo and saw Foreigner 3 times in concert. No 4 letter words no auto tune, just natural greatness!!
I think this is the first time I’ve seen the dude on the left totally rock out…cool.
Its definitely takes you on a ride, love that song, all time fave. Headknocker is another great one of theirs. 😎🎸🎵👌
Thematically lyrically, this song for me goes hand-in-hand with Shooting Star by Bad Company, Turn the Page by Bob Seger, and Limelight by Rush. Different sounds stylistically, but variations on a theme story wise.
Totally agree!!!🤘🤘🤘🎶🎼🎵
Don't forget "Into the Great Wide Open" by Tom Petty...
I heard Jani Lane sing Shooting star, alone, with an acoustic guitar in Des Moines.
How heartbreaking prophetic that proved to be.💔
Also check out their songs, Urgent, Cold As Ice and Hot Blooded.
The guitar solo is potent and perfect.
😎🤟This was such an awesome anthem for every kid who came from nothing to pick up an axe and absolutely RIP IT!
This is from the album "4" which came out in 1981 but still had some of their 70s rock sound.
Sooo Glad I grew up with Foreigner, they friggin' Rock! Lou Graham is an outstanding singer . . . Raised my kids on this kind of music! 💜💜🤘 Great Reaction Guys, I love this channel! 😚🍷

'Double Vision' is one of my favorites by Foreigner...they have so many hits...GREAT reaction
Foreigner IV & Lou Gramm's voice - legendary LP! Not one bad song on this album. Night Life and Urgent next please.
Lou Gramm has a fantastic voice. He did some solo work in the 80’s. Had a few top hits. Midnight Blue & True Blue Love we’re both good songs.
So glad you heard this version. Lou Gramm’s voice is unmatched. The story telling is pure.
Another fantastic reaction from you guys! And I couldn't agree more; FOREIGNER ROCKS!!!!
This is such a fantastic song! It will never get old! His voice is perfect for this. Great choice guys 🌺✌️
the opening song on that album - rules in rock
Certainly a bad ass song
Thanks for this emotional flashback!!! My dad had this album and I found it in the mid 80s when I was about 9. This might be the moment when my music taste was set 😊

Foreigner "AT WAR WITH THE WORLD" great banging tune with fantastic drums!!!!!!!!!!
You guys need to listen to the whole album Foreigner 4, soundtrack of the late 70's.
Love Foreigner! Got to see them live and they were just as good as you think they would be! Thanks!
The singer Lou Gramm has the best combination of a blues, R&B, and Rock voice I have ever heard.
🕊❤️🎼
That whole album is a classic!!! My favorite off the album is I'm Gonna Win! A great motivational song with a classic guitar riff!
All-time classic. Lou Graham has a rock voice for the ages
I think I played that album non stop for about a month when it was released. Great album from top to bottom.
I love your reactions to this song!!! You guys are true rockers!!!!
Every year in Seattle Washington on New Year’s Eve for about 5 yrs in a row This band and Heart played at the Seattle Center!!! What an awesome way to enter in the New Year!!!
Frigging phenomenal review, guys.
I had an Army buddy back in the day who just loved this song.

One of the most solid rock songs to come out at that time. A true rock classic.
Ahhh, back to the 70's, my favorite decade for great music.
Glad you did foreigner. Everybody needs to hear what a great vocalist Lou Gramm is.
Great song, damn good group, even their slow ballads kick major butt...
JBH tells a great story in a song which is always cool. You see the man standing behind a auditorium waiting to get his chance. And then the chance arrives and the singer hits it. Love good story songs.
And this is probably one of the best sing-a-long songs of the 80's
We wore that cassette out riding around in cars listening to it all night!
Graduated HS in 81’ and believe me this was blasting on my cassette player!
Love Foreigner! Had all their albums on vinyl back in the 80s, saw them live a couple times. Just straight ahead rock you can't help but dance to, always preferred them to Journey.

Yo, Bros. They had juke boxes in the 70s and 80s, too. I remember.
Thanks for the fantastic reaction, as usual.
An absolute classic and they have many more!!! Keep rocking!

Juke boxes were still around in the 70’s, too.

I had just mentioned a few days ago on another channel with someone reacting to Foreigner about Lou Gramm's voice...definitely in my top 10 vocalists
It's Lou Gramm! One of the greatest vocalists - ever!
Saw them perform this song. There was a giant inflatable jukebox on stage.
one of my favorite albums in Junior High
You need to listen to Urgent and Cold as Ice!
4 came out 1981 it one of my top five albums
At War With The World is another rocker by these guys.
“Urgent” is my favourite - I really believe you boys will LOVE it! & “Waiting For a Girl Like You” a cool slower vibe…❤️
Epic reaction to an epic song! Actually, both songs ( "Jukebox Hero" and "I want to know what love is") Are both from the same album, Foreigner 4, which, if memory serves, was released around 1983.

Cold As Ice is their best song IMO.
You are correct my friend: the ending is bad ass.
