So much going on here, it actually detracts from the original recording. I highly recommend you hear the original. Just for your own sake so you can really experience it. It's a true Rock Anthem all on it's own. Just my humble opinion.
My favorite Foreigner song.
Love this song but not this version.
You So need to hear the Original version. Trust me, you'll Love it!!!
🎸🎵🎶😎✌️
I timed the note at 23sec. The voice is classed as an instrument, so there's that.
Same as I got, glad I'm not the only one who thought it was necessary 😃
This is cool, I think Starrider from this concert would be awesome.
Foreigner is a British-American rock band formed in New York City in 1976 by guitarist Mick Jones, vocalist Lou Gramm, drummer Dennis Elliott, keyboardist Al Greenwood, bassist Ed Gagliardi and multi-instrumentalist, and original King Crimson member, Ian McDonald. Foreigner is one of the world's bestselling bands of all time, with worldwide sales of more than 80 million records,[4] including 37.5 million in the US.[5]
Jones came up with the band's name as he, Elliott and McDonald were British, while Gramm, Greenwood and Gagliardi were American, meaning at least half of the band would be foreigners no matter what country they were in. Wikipedia.
Great version of a great song. No need to compare it to previous versions or singers.
Errr.... no.
Just no.
The singer Lou Gramm was the lynchpin of the band.
There is no Foreigner without him.
Fantastic version
One of the greats . Cant wait to see them in june
Excellent variation but ideally AFTER experiencing the original iconic, timeless version!
Yeah - there are some rare occasions where a live version is better than the studio original, such as the Alchemy live tour version of Dire Straits's Telegraph Road.
But this is not one of them.
ABSOLUTELY..!!! THERE IS NOTHING LIKE BEING AT AN AMAZING CONCERT… WHEN THE BAND N THE GROWD BECOME ONE. FOREIGNER HAS ALWAYS BEEN A FAVOURITE OF MINE. DOUBLE VISION IS A GREAT SONG BY THEM. GREAT REACTIONS 👏
CRYSTAL BALL, BY STYX IS A MUST, AS WELL AS BUTTERFLY BLEU, BY IRON BUTTERFLY. ROCK ON 👊🖖
This is the Reaction channel to watch.. I am loving your journey. Your reactions are very heart felt and I appreciate that. There is so much great music out there. It was awesome when it first came out. Still holds up and gets you rockin. Most bands have really good debut albums. Listening to the albums in order helps you understand how Judas Priest went from BREAKING THE LAW to PAINKILLER. Or wonder at What went wrong?!lol Thanks for the reactions.
What I wouldn't give to take you two to a concert....
I saw Foreigner with the Doobie Brothers at the Sheffield Arena UK some years ago. an amazing show!💖
do yourseves a favor and watch the original...it will always be the anthem of my 80's youth! this is amazong!! great find!
In between his Foreigner commitments, Mick Jones also started a side career as a producer for such albums as Van Halen's 5150 (1986), Bad Company's Fame and Fortune (1986).
There are a number of videos on UA-cam or different songs from this concert. None disappoint, enjoy.
Great reaction!! Foreigner and Journey were my favorite rock bands growing up. Please take a chance to listen to Foreigner’s official video to “I want to know what love is”. Great video and song!! You won’t be disappointed, I promise!
24 second yell
Good Stuff 👍🏽
Foreigner is great with the original lead singer Lou Gramm, look for those song versions going forward for a better experience.
Some of these comments are so disingenuous... Lou Gramm was a phenomenal singer but he left the band and Kelly is an amazing singer truly amazing here. Cut him some slack!! Lou can't sing like this anymore and I love Lou. Kelly kept the flame burning for another 20 years. This is an awesome live version.
He had good reasons
Wow, I am so sorry. This version doesn't hold a candle to the original!
Nonsense... You're wearing rose tinted glasses dude. Lou was awesome truly awesome but this is phenomenal. Andre and Dominikas reaction says it all

"Andre and Dominikas reaction says it all"
As they haven't actually heard the original version (studio or live) the basis for that argument is fundamentally flawed.
It's like all these music reaction channels reacting to a live performance of the now ancient Phil Collins performing In The Air Tonight when he is so physically constrained by health issues that he can barely stand anymore, let alone play drums.
There are very few instances where it can be said that the live version of a song is better, like Telegraph Road by Dire Straits.
This is not one of them - it's a revisionist variation, and barely even classes as rock with all the orchestral additions or changes to the instrumentation.
Please listen to the original, studio version
Lou Gramm is the original lead singer. You reacted to the wrong version. This is a cover/ tribute band. No originals here. 😮
No originals? Isn't Mick Jones there?
Mick is not there anymore. Apparently, he has health issues. Of course, Kelly will say otherwise.😮
There is no replacement for Lou. He is one of a kind and all of their songs became hits because he was singing the lead. This new guy is a good singer, but the songs do not sound right to me without him.
Not anywhere near as good as the original studio version mainly because that singer is not the great Lou Gramm✌️
I sure give you two extra credit. As far as I know, you are the only ones to react to Foreigner with the 21st Century Orchestra and Choir. I saw this video and also Urgent, and immediately bought the dvd so I could watch the whole concert. It is Phenomenal. People can praise Lou Gramm all they want, and I won't disagree, but Kelly Hansen's singing here was fantastic. This whole concert was fire.
It's not really Foreigner without vocalist Lou Gramm. Sorry.
Original studio version is better. This one is good but too much fluff.
THIS BAND ARE "FRAUDS" USING THE ORIGINAL BANDS NAME WHICH IS AS FAR AS I KNOW ILLEGAL. HAVE A LISTEN TO THE ORIGINAL "FOREIGNER" SINGING THIS
Mick Jones is there and he's the one that came up with the name for the band.
