Some of my favorite pieces are from things that felt like a mistake and I kept working on them until they became something wonderful and make me happy every time I look at them!
Will I make fabric paper she says?! 😂 I started watching this video at about 11:30 PM in my attempt to go to bed. I then jumped up out of bed. Halfway through the video, remembering that my daughter just gave me nearly a whole bolt of muslin, coupled with the fact that I recently found some floral napkins. My first piece of fabric paper is now drying and I’m obsessively dreaming up all of my FUTURE ones! How I will ever sleep again I do not know. Mind you, this is after I recently became obsessed with the delicious crinkly, tissue paper and glue paper that I learned from you! You have no idea how completely in awe of you I am. I could never thank you enough for the knowledge and inspiration you’ve given me 🌹
I also recently made my first batch of napkin and glue paper. I am absolutely in love. The process is so meditative and the texture is just so, so satisfying!
I just made a small journal with a piece of handmade paper that is not backed with fabric, but I do like this idea with the fabric for extra sturdiness. I will have to try this out. My favorite is also the faux-leather piece. I'm like you when I get the thought in my head, "I wonder if I should keep going or I wonder if I'm going to ruin it?" and just keep going. Sometimes it turns out and other times it would have been best to stop. Sometimes you can fix it and other times you can't and have to make that version the best you can. Kinda like life. I believe more people need to make art to understand that not everything is perfect, purposeful, or always linear. Thanks, Natasha. As always, great ideas and excellent projects.
OMIGOODNESS this gal is ON FIRE!!!! She's giving me sensory overload, everything is soooo gorgeous!!! I've truly never seen such creativity in one place!! And she just keeps coming up with more amazing things!!! LOVE LOVE LOVE those gorgeous tabs/handbag charms you made, and that bright floral Journal, the blacks and floral decoupaged one with the bits and pieces is GORGEOUS, and and and ...Oh I love all of it!! 😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍 Natasa, your creativity prowess is absolutely OFF THE CHAIN!! I hope you know how fortunate you are, my dear!!! Well done!! 🥰
You are such a fun person so glad you let your light shine for us to enjoy . The dragon skin is super cool love the way it was made I'm definitely going to make some of both...I started sewing at 12 my mother taught me made any thing and everything husband 2 kids and at 62 I put most of my fabric in the shed and started making junk journals or treasure books blew my family's mind ...you have been a big part of that journey so inspiring so much fun..65 and loving it...from Idaho, USA thank you so very much :)
Honestly I do not think I've watched a journal video that has had so many beautiful, amazing, awesome creative ideas! Paired with your teaching/instruction along with you being so willing to pivot and change direction and just let it flow into whatever it becomes well, I'll just say I was quite literally blown away!!! Your mind is gold! Thank you so much❤️Had to come back and add I love the floral one:)
I love them all Natasa but especially the gold pouches. I would have liked to see the faux leather with more orange. Your process explanation is very user friendly, THANKYOU.
Oh my gosh! I just love everything you that you create! I love all of your techniques…most are so simple and inexpensive! Thank you for sharing your skills! ❤️
I love how detailed and concise your are about each project. You also create amazing work. You are very inspiring. Thank you for sharing your craft with such thoughtfulness and enthusiasm. Great video!
All I want to say is I only thought my Beautiful Mother was an Absolute Perfectionist in all of her Many Crafting Skills, You are Absolutely an Exceptional, Amazing, Multi Talented Professional Journal Artistic Artist! I would not dare say Junk Journal that's not You're Forte Queen! I'm a Perfectionist also and I don't make Junk Journals I Make Exquisitely Made Journals. I would love to purchase one of your Journal because I want to use it as my Bridal Planner, Thank you.
My favorite is the orange one love all the different colors ❤. All the items you have shown in your video is absolutely gorgeous very creative. Love it all.
Absolutely love them both, but I’m same as you, just adore that tissue paper one painted, love love love, and love your tutorials, you’re really a fantastic teacher, and always fun. Thanks for everything u do xx❤️🏴
I've never made fabric paper before, but I'm so inspired bt your video to give it a try. I usually cut up old tee shirts for tags, but i could use them for fabric paper. I absolutely love the fabric paper tags you made, they would make wonderful bookmarks to give away. Love your creative mind. You are so talented. ❤
Oh wow!!! I am in awe! You just keep outdoing yourself with these gorgeous ideas. I love both the tutorial and the "show and tell part" because both inspire me. I can't decide what I like most. I would love to make that "dragon skin" one with plain white tissue and perhaps some red Christmassy color and gold embellishments. Those little tags could be turned into sweet keychains. I am always in awe of what you dream up. Thank you for the constant inspiration and wonderful instruction. I need 72 hrs a day for this!
You already know I love your work - but I'm FLOORED by the generosity of this video and the beautiful techniques and projects in it. I adore them all. The "dragon skin" (love that!) tissue paper journal cover is the star, but the supporting cast is also brilliant - I never thought of mixing up different patterned napkins, but they look so good. And this is just the tip of the iceberg - you've sparked so many ideas! Even the journal flip-throughs are inspiring - some new ideas, here too. I love a plain, minimally embellished journal, and these are beautiful. The little one from offcuts would be perfect for a project I have in mind for a language-learner - little quotes, proverbs, riddles, tongue-twisters etc in the target language, plus room for their own additions. Also, I want some of those acrylic pens now! There's enough in this vid to keep me going for months, years, even.
I made the fabric paper, it turned out marvelous 🌹, thank you for ur creative side, & sharing , wow ! That's hard to decide, everything you make has been inspirational ❤️❤️❤️
I have been watching you for a while, and I really appreciate how you use just ordinary materials, and repurposed stuff in your crafting. You really put a lot of creativity in your art!😀
You are so inspiring! Each time I watch your videos I just have to try out your ideas. I’m 72yrs old and all of this crafting is keeping me active and engaged and satisfying my soul. Thank you for sharing your incredible talent so often and so easy to follow ❤️
The "dragon skin" one really is the star of the show. Absolutely gorgeous! The finished journal looks like something taken from a witch's bookshelf. I am definitely going to try this technique and make some magical tomes. As always, thank you for the inspiration.
One of the very first journals I ever made was the painted tissue paper on cardboard from one of your tutorials, so I have a special love for that technique 🥰 I am most excited that you said 1964 was not that long ago-that is the year I was born ☺️
I just love the texture and the way you fondle the paper!! Lol😂😆🤣 I LOVE the leather looking on! It’s my favorite! Everything looks beautiful though! I dry much enjoyed this video! Thank you!! Very informative!
Really love this! I love your passion for crafting, fierce boldness in creativity, even if it doesn’t always end up as you envision. You show the viewer how to go with the flow, and not to worry about the end product to much. I am so going to do this.
Oh my goodness!! I Absolutely love those journals and how you made the paper cloth. Great demonstrations. As a newbie journal maker I would think one of those bookmark/tags that match the journal cover would be an awesome addition if gifted so the receiver can place it in the book where he/she is writing/working in. I must try it as I have extra fabric and plain colored tissue. Also have loads of napkins. Also thank you for the idea of what you use for huge papers in your journal. I can hardly wait to play with this idea. Thank you so much for sharing ☺☺☺♥♥♥
Beautiful covers! Thanks for all the tips you so generously provide for us. I know each video must take hours and hours to make and edit. Even though the flip through of your journals wasn't part of the video, I do appreciate it as it inspires me to start making more journals. Thanks again for a great video!!
I feel hard pressed to choose a favourite one Natasha…and I most definitely will try this technique. I’ve done your cheesecloth technique before and this is a welcomed addition. I can see many uses for the pouches also…the wheels in my head are whirling ! Well done❤
This is hands down one of the most interesting journal tutorials I have ever watched. Just when I think creativity has been exhausted a fabulous idea like this is introduced. Well done! Beautiful. My favorite is the collage one but I certainly appreciate the one that looks like faux leather. You also encouraged me to pull out my paint markers which I purchased about a month ago. I am definitely giving this a go. Thank you so much for the inspiration. This gave my waning creativity a kick start!
Each one of these projects is gorgeous. I am going to have to try this out. I wish it was more affordable to ship things from where you live to the USA. I might actually want to purchase some things from your shop. I think your work is top-notch. Those who are patrons of yours are certainly lucky people!!!!!
Totally love both of the journals - even though I really, really like the floral wrap-over one just a slight little bit more. Must try it for myself. I can't believe how lovely they look and the other items are also very, very nice. I (myself) would put some thin card or strong paper on the back of the tags to write on.
I love both pieces that you made but more of the orange tissue paper one..love the rough feel of that! I'm always inspired with your videos..it's always after watching every video of yours,my mind doesn't know where to start or what to do first😁but I love love your creativity ❤
This is your best tutorial yet...I love love ❤️ them both. Each would bring a different aesthetic to a different journal. The collage floral lends sweet and feminine, and the tissue painted has the look of old worn leather... like an old library chair that has seen many books read. I love them both and will use them for different things...I can see embellishments folders, envelopes, tags etc...love this Natasha...Brava on your best tutorial yet...you always outdo yourself..
This is my favorite journal channel. Dont be offended, sometimes I am overwhelmed with the beautiful ideas that you teach and my brain explodes. However, I enjoy every minute. 😂😂😂😂😂
You’ve done it again Natasa! Love, love, love it all! So many ideas to try!!! I love 💕 everything you showed us, and have ideas for them, but the tissue paper cover is gorgeous and is the perfect cover for a Memorial Treasure Book I’m making about my uncle for my auntie and her family. Thank you again for your inspiration and sharing it with us! Blessings 💜
W O W!!!! Your creative juices just keep on flowing and inspiring us all. I love how the faux leather look journal turned out! Just STUNNING! Much love of all you do, Julia ❤😊❤
This is an incredible tutorial! So much packed into 40 minutes. The bookplate is something I want to do now and it's only a small part of the video. So many ideas and inspiration, thank you!
Natasha, this is just out of this world! beautiful and so artistic. The small tags with the chain are gorgeous and I love them. Thanks for the inspiration..
I love everything, Natasa...the faux leather dragon skin is "the business" and so beautifully made. The vibrant one is gorgeous and looks stunning with all the little accents you created with the pens. Just love everything you do because you have such a passion for detail and texture. When you scrunch up the papers, I'm itching to do the same! xx
Very excited to try making paper cloth! I love how coordinated and useful your journals are - so much journalling space rather than decorated pages. And the small items should great use of what might be leftover or cut down from the paper cloth.I like both the smooth and textured paper cloths. Both have their purpose.
Oh no. Just watched this and am supposed to go on a holiday for the weekend right now. Wish I could stay at home and work on this project. Nooooo, I don’t want to go … Thank you, Natasha, for sharing!
Thanks for all, i could listen to you for hours and hours... i am affraid its too late in my life to try everything ! I am a old lady in France and spend hours with your spécial art ! Thanks thanks thanks ❤ any
A easy and great trick for air bubbles... Syringe filled with the glue mix.. inject tiny bits into the bubbles the brush them down... A simple sewing pin works perfect on adhesive backed paper or book cover wrap
Your welcome... you probly knew it lol... I've crafted for most of my life lol.. doing journals is going to be a new challange... so my challsnge.. is to make 5 by cmass lol
Natasa just loving them both. Really liked the orange one and it looked like the orange was gone until you showed a close up. I did one with grocery bag, crinkled it up, turned ink pad upside down, and lightly went over paper. Turned out similar to your orange with light black painting. Thank you again for your wonderful creativity.
I am a bling girl but the brown journal I really liked because it looks like leather books rich and ,to me , it looks like leather on my computer and I like leather books and shoes . Thank you . Don,t forget to tell your Mother and Father thank you for the beautiful journal covers . Jackie
Yes, I LOVE the brown & orange paper Journal the most. It looks soooo much like leather or cheesecloth. Absolutely gorgeous !! The brightly colored one is gorgeous too. Everything u make, turns out soooooo GORGEOUS !! U are a master of all things paper & cloth. I have been a quilter for many years and I have ALL this fabric to use. So I love that u are creating with different cloth fabric too. I have lots of cottons to use up too. Thanks Natasa for ALL u do. Keep up the EXCELLENT work. Your follower Darlene....
Game changer for me. Napkins + gift wrapping tissue paper from now on will only be used along with fabric on my projects. So so much for all these ideas!
Wow! You have quite an artistic talent. This and the zipper idea have blown me away. Thank you for sharing and inspiring us with your creativity! Your artwork is stunning! You are a great teacher as well! Thank you! Thank you! And blessings to you always. ❤🤗🙏
I have to say that even though I like the tassel that you have on your grey handbag, I DEFINITELY LOVE the little tag you created even better for that purse. I think you should definitely ROCK THAT!!! I definitely would 😊
You are a legend! You have just solved a problem for me that I was stuck on. I’m making a treatment/medical journal folder for my Mum who is currently starting treatment for breast cancer, and I want to have things like a diary section for procedures & symptoms so she can keep track, have a notebook, an accordion folder for Drs letters & results & a secure pocket for USB scans & things. And I’ve chosen gorgeous paper, but wanted the outside to be cleanable so she can safely take it to Drs surgeries & the hospital if needed. But I was stuck on how to do that without just covering it with contact. I tried laminating some paper but my laminator started eating it 😩 & I wanted something with a less clinical type texture. And now I know what I can do! Fabric paper it is 😃 So thank you so much from my Mum & I for all your great inspiration. PS Really loved the orange as it was, or would have loved that with yellows, fuschias, reds & golds but also loved the leather look you achieved. The scrap ones are very cool too.
Wowser…….simply awesome. I had so many ideas running through my mind watching this…….where should I begin I asked myself…….I’m going to go shopping ……in my own studio…..and use some of my own supplies……use what I have…….my mind is just bubbling with the inspiration’s you have shared here…….all of them are beautiful…….my favourite one 🤔……..if I could only pick one……the wrap around writing journal🤗🤗🤗 Loved this tutorial…….🥰
I know what you mean - ‘ did that sound …’. , And I like the orange tissue one! Good to make observations about the materials. Rather than rush through…. The journey is what counts!
I really like the book, but I love the tags because I like to give someone a little gift of appreciation for something that they have done. I enjoy your presentation thanks.
My head is spinning with so many of the ideas you have shown in this video. Beautiful journals and I love the paper cloth you made. You are so creative. Thank you for sharing 💗 the many processes with us.
Thank you for making this video. I have your book, but you always come up with new ideas and ways of using so many different types of craft supplied. You are my favorite mixed media artist. Thank you for all you share with all of us!
Some of my favorite pieces are from things that felt like a mistake and I kept working on them until they became something wonderful and make me happy every time I look at them!
Me as well.

It is contagious😅
Lol girl! One does not watch inspirational scrapbooking videos in bed😂❤ I love your story though !
I also recently made my first batch of napkin and glue paper. I am absolutely in love. The process is so meditative and the texture is just so, so satisfying!
The leather looking one is really classy. Your bookplate is definitely a work of art!
The Journal Artista said "You have to work through the ugly" That statement has saved alot if projects for me.
I just made a small journal with a piece of handmade paper that is not backed with fabric, but I do like this idea with the fabric for extra sturdiness. I will have to try this out. I agree! You’re totally awesome and so fun to watch! 🤗
The floral one. 😬
I love them all Natasa but especially the gold pouches. I would have liked to see the faux leather with more orange. Your process explanation is very user friendly, THANKYOU.
I so want to do this project. I loved the orange before you painted it black, but I totally lived the end project. The journal is awesome.
I love these tutorials and your generosity in sharing your wonderful and easy to understand instructions. Thank you SO much ❤️
I love them both, but I think I like the one with all the pieces glued together just a bit more😊
All projects go through an 'ugly' stage where the self doubt creeps in. Like you say the best thing is to just carry on!
Your tutorials are SO GOOD. I love your being so so clear on details. Thats a great teacher in my opinion
I love the fabric piece with flowers and bits of napkins all over. Beautiful. The leather look is amazing too.
I actually like both of them, but prefer the flowered one…you’re the best…only watch you, and try your videos…you’re very ingenious!!!
Oh my gosh! I just love everything you that you create! I love all of your techniques…most are so simple and inexpensive! Thank you for sharing your skills! ❤️

Hmmm… we’re comparing apples and oranges. Both are beautiful, but I also prefer the “dragon skin”. Great video (again).

Even though the flip through of your journals wasn't part of the video, I do appreciate it as it inspires me to start making more journals.
Thanks again for a great video!!

Jackie
One is more masculine and the other is feminine, both are favorites. Your videos are so inspiring Natasha. Many Thanks!
I love them both! But, the pieces are my favorite. But now I’m seeing the journal cover and I’m undecided.
Very well done! You're creativity knows no bounds!!! P.S. Got your book - awesome!
So amazing all of it!
I love fabric and paper and will be making this! The dark “leather look “ journal is my favorite. Thank you for presenting this technique.
I LOVE LOVE LOVE the dragon skin!!!
The crinkled one definitely the best! Absolutely beautiful!
Love your imagination, "Looks like dragon skin!".Love everything you do,amazing recycling and you think you talk to much, never darling! Love ya!
Thanks so much 😊
I never knew what to do with those beautiful napkins but now I do! Thank you!
Game changer for me. Napkins + gift wrapping tissue paper from now on will only be used along with fabric on my projects. So so much for all these ideas!
Absolutely love the tissue paper/leather look
My favorite is the one with all the bits and pieces 🤩
I love your commentary. It is what I say when I'm crafting.❤
Oh what yumminess! My fav is the brown textured one. The other is beautiful but I’m not a “pink flower type of gal”.
🥰👍
I love both of them, Natasha. But that orange one. WOW!!!!!!!!I can't wait to make it.
I love the orange one. But the one with your roses is phenomenal
True to form, the same angel whispers in both our ears. I had a problem, you just posted the solution. I knight thee, Wikipedia of junk journaling! ❤️
I love the orange one most even though you couldn't tell now that it is orange. You are a good teacher!
