Thank you for these tips. I have a nasty coffee stain under my coffee maker on my granite counter top. I don't clean under the coffee maker every day, so I didn't know that it was leaking coffee. I don't even know how long the stain has been there. I tried cleaning it with Dawn which only had a minimal effect. Now I have a mat under the coffee maker to prevent any future stains, but I still have the stain under the mat. I'm now going to try your baking soda poultice method with my fingers crossed. I'll come back in a day or two to let you know if I was successful. Thanks again.
You have one of the best YT channels. Great work. Video which have, no hyperbole, made my life-admin easier and better. You literally should have more subs than MKBHD. Cheers, mate.
Excellent video. We’ve had Costa Esmeralda counters in the kitchen and two bathroom vanities for almost ten years. We were told the sealant was permanent. I’ll try the water trick. My fave cleaner/disinfectant for all surfaces is CleanSmart Daily Surface Cleaner. For greasier messes, I go with Krud Kutter. Both are food/child/pet safe.
50/50 water and isopropyl alcohol . A few drops of dawn. Daily granite cleaner. Been using it daily for almost a year. Sealed the counters when new. Still looks flawless.
Stone Pro has amazing products for granite/stone. Its what the professionals use, but you can buy it retail. Sealers and cleaners. There's nothing better. My kitchen is 26 years old and people think i just remodeled it! Good products make a difference
Thanks for all your amazing tips, tricks and advice Brandon, I clean everything exactly as you do, always have, but I’m still learning so much from you, I’ve just bought some scrub daddy products, can’t wait to use them!…. x👍🏻🇬🇧x
You read my mind!! How’d you do that?! I’ve been searching for a good cleaning product or solution for granite countertops this past week. Thank you! 🙏
Thank you for the video! I recently started following and was just looking for how to do this last week! Any tips for removing hard water build up on granite? We get it around our sink.
Miracle Sealants 511 PT SG Impregnator Sealer. Heavy duty sealer. Takes a few days to fully cure. We apply before going on vacation. Says it last for a few years. We apply yearly.
Great video! Now…how do I clean our natural stone shower, especially the floor, properly. It’s beautiful, but to me, very difficult to keep clean and fresh. Thanks!
Can you do a video about removing stains on marble tile around the base of a toilet? I don’t think it’s pee (although who knows 🙄😂) but I’ve tried a baking soda paste, hydrogen peroxide paste and heavy duty bath tile cleaner - all to no avail.
Theres super greasy areas around a clients stove. Nothing works. So frustrating. And its dark so other areas are cloudy. I used stainless steel polish to shine it up but it barely worked. Not sure what else to do. Ill try resealing in one seperate area and see if it solves the clouds. But the sticky grease is stubborn !
Hi Hi! Will the baking soda paste work for cleaning oil stains off quartz counters? I had noticed where my oil spray bottle sits beside the stove, there's an oil stain on the counter. I've now put the oil spray bottle in a little tray that sits on the counter, but so sad my quartz has a stain now!
I'm finding myself needing advice on how to clean, 6-8yr old, black-out curtains. I find them to be the most difficult things to clean when the material that faces the window, starts to have tiny cracks and fading. Usually that means replace, but we've 14 of them. I learned to never put one in the washing machine. They get a weird yellowish residue on them. Can't bleach them or the fabric on other side gets ruined.
If isopropyl alcohol is safe for granite, why not use your DIY isopropyl+water+dawn mix for everyday cleaning? As compared to filling an extra spray bottle.
I thought I was doing the right thing by using my water/dish soap/vinegar spray..... Ooops! Off to get a dedicated worktop sealant to make up for the last six months of mistake :(
Whatever you do do not use straight vinegar or “cleaning” vinegar undiluted. It will erode the top surface of a concrete floor. Don’t want to know what it will do to expensive countertops.
Why use a bottle of water and dish soap?… I fill the sink with Dawn and water, wash the counters, etc etc etc, and then wash the sink when I’m done. No spray bottle needed and I have the wash the sink in any case….
This was very helpful. We got granite countertops last year. I wish the company had warned us about how easily white (marble look) countertops would scuff! I love Bar Keepers’ Friend, so will definitely be getting the granite & stone version! Thank you! How do you recommend dealing with small pits in granite countertops? I’ve tried a toothbrush to get debris out, but it didn’t work. Thanks again!
Sinks are full of bacteria. You'll be spreading that bacteria to any surface your cleaning afterwards. I would thoroughly clean and disinfectant the sink before using that method. Same if you're using the bucket method. A spray bottle keeps the solution clean at all times, and you still gotta make sure what your using to clean is clean and free of bacteria too, like your sponges, cloths, etc.
The drain screen/basket that collects food all day, that grows bacteria all day has so many crevices it’s really impossible to disinfect. Suppose soaking it in bleach might do the job. Can’t imagine using water with that drain basket to wipe over countertops.

Love it. Thanks so much for the comment. Happy cleaning 🙂
My granite is darker and very dull. Now I have hope and an action plan to restore. Thank you!
Love love love all your cleaning tips! That said, I hope I find a job fast so I can get my cleaning lady back because I really don't like to clean 😡
How do you remove hard water stains from granite?
Thank you I learned sooooo much!!!😊
I have water spot shadows (I have hard water where I live.) I'll try the paste and plastic process. Fingers crossed.
Great video! I always learned a lot from it. Do you have a video on how to clean gas stove tops? The square thing on top on the stove. Thanks again!
Thank-you do much!!
We moved into a house where the granite wasn’t sealed and now I know how to do it. Much easier than I thought!

Thank you for all the tips! I have been using the Dawn & water in a sprayer for years. Works great. For disinfecting, I use Steramine.

That’s my go-to too.
Great guide. Thank you for sharing.

Thanks for your help. Thanks Jennifer 😊
Thanks fox sharing ❤❤
I have seen your videos before and like them. I just subbed 👍🏻
I’m new here too
Thanks for subscribing!
Great tips should I ever encounter granite counters. I'll remember that spray bottle tip, but there's already spray bottles with that alcohol we buy.😅
Quick question do you polish first or seal first?
Does it matter if you use the green antibacterial versus the blue dawn.
Thank you for the video! I recently started following and was just looking for how to do this last week! Any tips for removing hard water build up on granite? We get it around our sink.

I had my granite countertops professionally sealed, lifetime guarantee!
That’s awesome!
What would you rec to wipe wood dining table? Mine seem dull even after dry wipe
that's inspiring 🌸
Dawn is great on cutting grease. What is the best way to clean butcher block countertop? Thanks 🎉
Great video! Now…how do I clean our natural stone shower, especially the floor, properly. It’s beautiful, but to me, very difficult to keep clean and fresh. Thanks!
amazing what about porcalin countertops please

If you’re a Janitor/Custodian and you don’t use Dawn you’re doing your job all wrong! 😂
Agreed! It’s the Swiss Army knife of cleaning
@@CleanThatUpŵill this work on granite floors? No one ever addresses granite floor cleaning

What's your opinion about using the Pink Stuff instead of baking soda?
I haven’t personally tried that on granite yet so I’m not sure how it works unfortunately.
This is so helpful! Thanks so much! So happy you popped up on my feed! New sub here!
You're welcome and happy to have you aboard!
So cool
Does this work for quartz countertops?
Any tips on how to clean ash and soot from painted surfaces for those effected by the wildfires? Asking for a friend. Thank you.
I’d love to know how to get scale and hard water stains on my granite from around my faucet
I imagine if it's safe for natural stones, it safe for engineered stones like quartz or piedrafina? Happy Cleaning!
Correct!
Wow! 😊
How to clean a glass stove? I cook a lot and it got really dirty. Thank you

So the isopropyl alcohol just for disinfectant not to restore it's shine?
Isopropyl alcohol does not restore a shine on granite. It is a great disinfectant, though.
I have MS, hard for me. Help
The barkeeper's friend smells really good
What about strawberry pie filling it stained
If isopropyl alcohol is safe for granite, why not use your DIY isopropyl+water+dawn mix for everyday cleaning? As compared to filling an extra spray bottle.
Good morning . I thought you used water alcohol and dish soap on delicate surfaces
Both work great! For everyday cleaner I find myself using just the dish soap mix a bit more because it’s all I need for granite in most cases.
I thought I was doing the right thing by using my water/dish soap/vinegar spray..... Ooops! Off to get a dedicated worktop sealant to make up for the last six months of mistake :(
Be careful not to get any alcohol overspray on your cabinets. 8t can destroy the finish.
Brandon, does your wife do the filming?
Why couldn’t you use a higher percentage of alcohol?
❤❤❤

That works too! The nice thing about using a spray bottle is this same mix can be used on stainless steel appliances as well.
I might try that, like fill the sink, dip a towel in, & put my dirty dishes in to soak for a bit while I wash the counters

I use a stone cleaner, prvided by my customer. Thankfully I do not have stone in my home!!!!
That works too!
🌷♥️🌷
😍
What an horrible surface to work with. It's beautiful and expensive so why is it so delicate?
