Hi Laura Love your Finish - this is so pretty. I love this. Love your WIPS - you are making great progress on them. Take Care & Happy Stitching ❤️🤗🧵🪡🧵✂️🌊🐚🌴☕️❤️
Your Vintage Sampler is gorgeous! As for your "dumpy snowmen" they are so cute just the way they are. A shell or two are always appropriate for beach town girls like us. Best wishes for good news on Tuesday.
You did make a ton of progress with the girls there- look at that finish- woohoo!!! So exciting! I can't wait to hear how you are going to finish it. I'd call the snowman a finish without the sticks- those are so cute 😊
Laura, your videos are always such a ray of sunshine and positivity! I love seeing what you're stitching and what you're planning. I hope your foot is better soon! I have one of those measuring cups and can understand the danger! Have a great week!
Black Vintage Sampler looks amazing!! I just love it on that fabric too. The shell needle minder is so pretty and will look good in your little altoid stitching box.
Congratulations on you big finish - it’s absolutely stunning! 🥳🥳😍😍 So sorry to hear about your toe - hope it heals very fast! Take care and yay to stitching along with us on a beautiful lighthouse 😍😍
My older brother got his Ph.D. in textile technology at Clemson! Your big finish of Black Vintage Sampler is glorious!!! So many beautiful WIPs! Praying for quick healing for your toe! Keep your foot up and enjoy the Olympics! What a neat idea to make a needle minder out of a shell. I’ll have to “go down the shore” as they say in NJ. Still hard for me to say that! In NC we go to the beach! Hope you have a great week!
Your Vintage Black Sampler is just stunning. Congratulations on the finish!! When you started talking about the measuring cup (I have one too), I figured the story was going to go one of two ways - either it shattered when it fell or it fell on your foot.. I hope you heal quickly! 🪡👠
Another great week of stitching and huge congratulations on your finish - that is a wonderful stitch. Sorry about your toe - I bet that was really sore. Hope it mends quickly. Happy stitching Laura.
I just found you and had no idea you were a Clemson grad and then you just put me on to MORE Clemson grad stitchy friends. Love your content. Go Tigers!
A shell as a needle minder is brilliant! I'm going to have to make one. As always you pieces are amazing. I also am stitching for the Olympics. The Opening Ceremonies were awesome. I started Les Olympiades des Gnomes and I'm hoping to finish it by closing ceremonies.
I always love your videos. I had a really insane busy day at work and I was just really frustrated and overwhelmed. I just turned your video on and listened to you. So thanks for keeping my company
Hi Laura! I am a new viewer and was so surprised to hear you say you are a Clemson grad! My husband and I went to Clemson but currently live in New Mexico. Our youngest daughter is starting Clemson this fall. Love your projects. Go Tigers!!
Congratulations on your beautiful finish. I also stitch a lot of beach, ocean, shell and cats because they make me so happy. Today is the second of your videos I have watched, I really enjoy your discussion, tips and I am not heading over to look at the SALs you mentioned.
Congrats on your BIG finish! I love Robin Pickens charts. I’m doing all 4 of the Seasonal Courier patterns. That shell needle minder that you received is so nice.
Congratulations on your huge finish! I love the shell needleminder Andrew sent you, I like to make my own needle minders too. That way no one has anything as special as mine 😄
I love your channel and the projects you're working on. I look forward to your videos every Friday. This weekend, I stepped out of my shell and went to my first cross stitch retreat it was wonderful. Hope you have a wonderful week.
I love Andrew. He is a great guy. Congrats on finishing Black Sampler. I am going to start it in September. I am stitching on Mini Saint Nicholas from HAED for the Olympics.
Vintage Black Sampler is gorgeous! Congratulations!! Counting your Snowman as a finish too!!😂 Great starts for August. Nice shell needleminder. So generous of Andrew!
Love the finish since you started working on it became a wish list and even more so pretty. Stephanie lives the next town over so I go on Lindy stitches first before 123 stitch there is no LNS out here. The shell patterns are so pretty. Hope you have speedy healing.
Hi Laura! Congrats on a beautiful finish! It looks fantastic! In terms of using sulky and DMC in the same piece, I stitched Long Dog’s Pandemic on 18 count Aida with two strands of silk as my main color, and two strands of DMC for one accent, and one strand of Sulky for another accent and it looks really good.
That was so nice of Andrew to send you that pattern and the shell needle minder . I really enjoy his floss tube, his stitching is amazing. Congratulations on your finished of Black Vintage Sampler ,it is beautiful . Mine is almost finished. Hope you you have a speedy recovery with your toe
If anyone ever breaks into your house, you could use that Anchor Hocking cup instead of a frying pan. So sorry about the broken toe. I don’t often comment, but I look forward to your videos every Friday. shell
Thank you for another great video. You inspired me to start wings of change. I had the pattern and will change the flower to purples. I would love to start the Mary Poppins project with you!!!! It will take me forever though😊
WOW!!! That had to be really painful. Anchor Hocking glassware is tremendously heavy. Owwwwwwie. Hope you heal up quickly and get a good report from the doctor Tuesday. Patricia P.s. Beautiful stitching ❤❤
🎊 Congratulations on your finish!🎉 🤩 It is a beautiful one! The SHELL needle minder that Andrew made for you is so pretty. I had already thought about buying 1 or 3 of those pieces in the Lindy Stitches news letter so we are on the same page. 😊 I’m sorry to hear about your toe fracture. You are right to follow instructions carefully in the beginning. You will heal much faster. I have had 3 foot bone fractures and had to wear a boot for 6-8 weeks for each fracture. Annoying but effective. Did the measuring cup break? LOL Have a good week watching Olympics and stitching.
I don't ever comment on videos, but just wanted to say that I sooooo enjoy watching and spending time with you every week. You and your videos definitely make my Fridays brighter. Thanks for being you and doing what you do!
Congratulations on your finish! It looks absolutely beautiful on that blue fabric. I also loved your almost finish with 5-10 stitches left hahaha. That made me chuckle :). So happy the pattern made it to you and you will get to enjoy it along with our #letyourlighthouseshinesal . Have a great weekend and happy stitching!
I am heading directly over to watch Andrew after seeing that precious shell he took the time to send to you just warmed my heart. So I am officially intrigued! Congratulations on the sampler finish....that is epic and beautiful!
Congratulations on finishing your Black Vintage Sampler! It looks absolutely stunning! I love the fabric color you chose for it. Maybe you can find a way to temporarily hang it on the wall space behind you so we can see it in your videos each week for a while😊. So sorry to hear about your toe. That can be so painful. Hope it's not bothering you too much. Happy stitching! Shell
Congratulations on your big finish! It is beautiful!❤️ I love all of the Robin Pickens patterns. There is a free fall one with an acorn on the Fat Quarter Shop site if you haven’t seen it. So sorry about your toe. Hope it heals quickly. Shell
I vote no arms -- snowman are adorbs as they are. I also vote just the dragon, she makes enough impact on their own due to the awesome colour choices in your fabric and floss. YEAH to the finish although I will miss seeing it.
Laura, I hurt my toe this Friday. Thankfully just a sprain, but man it smarts! I'm glad that the injury wasn't worse; those glass kitchen items are HEAVY!! I hope kitty feels better soon and starts to come out of his shell. My kitty had the sneezy sickness when we got him from the shelter as well, but after some antibiotics and extra rest he healed up.
Thank you for the congratulations on our flossiversary! Sallie and I constantly mention your flosstube because you enable us so well, even with books for me. I finished The Serpent…book 1. The library is ready to give me book 2. I am looking forward to continuing the Nightborn Duet series.
So sorry to hear about your toe. I am glad it doesn't sound to major. Here is to a speedy recovery. I guess you need to tell Moe you have to stich due to your toe being out of commission 😊
Congratulations on your finish, it's beautiful. Also, love the shell needle minder, a lovely gift. You asked about using sulky one strand in a project with 2 strands of dmc and I have done it on 14 CT and 18 CT. Try it and see what you think.
You never know what you might share with a fellow floss tuber. I graduated in December of '87, thirty years after my father graduated from Clemson. Congrats on your finish. I am starting a full coverage piece next year and already have it on pattern keeper. Thank you for mentioning our anniversary. Angie and I are working on Fish and Ships because of your influence. I enjoy seeing all that you share each week. Shell. Sallie
August is my birthday month. Shell is fun to find at the beach. I hope to go to the beach for my birthday. I am glad you get to see your kids. I saw mine more before the economy turned for the worse. They cannot afford to travel so far and we can only help so much. It stinks but such is life atleast we talk on phone a lot.
A great video as usual. I love shell patterns. I’m currently working on the Celtic dragon. I did a modified border and just the dragon in the middle. I’m using dying for cross stitch ruby floss for the dragon. Just have the bottom of tail done
I got the list for the Olympics Stitching...didn't do anythng the first two days but was able to stitch on Sunday while watching your flosstube. I don't have a love of WIPs and it's gonna be hard for me to come up with some projects to match the prompts. But I can get some of them worked on at least.
Shell. I agree with your thoughts on Robin Pickens. Congratulations on the Black Sampler finish! It looks spectacular! I can sympathize with your injury. I dropped an economy size new bottle of shampoo on my foot in the shower. I was bruised and swollen for weeks!
I did Yellow Submarine on Mystic Blue by Picture this Plus (I think). It was closer to the Beatles album cover blue than the other fabrics and the variegation looks like water. I was really happy with it.
That's a heckin' beautiful finish!! So proud of you for getting it done! I think it was LalaDee that's doing the lighthouse SAL? If I'm remembering the flosstube videos correctly. Not to be shell-fish (see what I did there?) but it would be lovely to be able to do those patterns right along with you.
Oh Laura not a great week for your toe x hope it heals quickly xx I got the lighthouse this week to but I think I’m going to start that and the seagull next year lol I have so many things kitted up lol x I was going to do the Olympic stitch but have decided to just dip in and out x lol x shell
Love your finish! I’m trying to decide about the Robin Pickens new designs as I stitch a lot of beachy stuff and shell (s) for my parents, I may give in eventually!
Congrats on your finish. I love it on the bright blue fabric. I am like you. Do I need more patterns? No, but I’m going to get a few anyway. I’m on a lighthouse kick right now and have Cottage Garden Samplings’ in my cart. Robin Pickens designs are fantastic but the shells haven’t made it into my cart - yet.
Shell. Congrats on the finish! So sorry to hear about your toe. I've broken two bones at different times in my righ foot. It's definitely not fun. Feel better soon.
Love your beautiful big finish, stitchy stuff co has some awesome floss love it. Hope to join the lighthouse sal, have you picked your fabric yet? I am waiting for that same chart to arrive it was shipped! Love beach themed charts too, shell.
Omgoodness. I’m a huge shell beach girl too. If I win, I’ll buy the sampler. If I don’t win, I’ll buy the sampler. 😂😂😂😂😂. If you want to do a stitch along, let me know, I’ll join ya!
Your big finish is awesome! I don’t think you will scrap book that one. I have never mixed dmc and sulky…not because of coverage but because of the texture difference…I would want to plan how the colours were juxtaposed because dmc lies flat and Sulky is a round thread and sits a bit higher for me. I will play and get back to you. I would definitely stitch Robin Pickens with you.🦉🪡🧵🔆
I love that blue fabric for the Yellow Submarine stitch. Congrats on your Black Vintage Sampler finish. Beautiful! The shell stitch is so cute.
Wow! Congratulations on your Black Vintage Sampler finish!! It is magnificent!

Congratulations on your huge finish! I love the shell needleminder Andrew sent you, I like to make my own needle minders too. That way no one has anything as special as mine 😄
I have always been an introvert, but stitching has given me confidence to come out of my shell and make new friends.
I love the idea of a scrapbook just for your gifted cross stitch. So many beautiful designs and so little time! shell
