Your Shamrock ornament turned out so cute! I had to chuckle. My son is in his first semester of college and we recently zoomed so I could keep him company while he buckled down to write a paper. It was quite companionable to stitch while he worked.
So happy you talked about the stitch groups within Jingle Ball and you being shy and uncomfortable jumping in the middle of the room. I am the same way, I don’t participate in a lot of groups via Zoom, etc. I’m a shy person with low confidence in myself. I always feel I would say something to offend someone or make myself feel stupid. That’s why I like watching floss tubes. Thanks again for explaining the way you feel.

I can definitely relate to your thoughts about jingleball. As a shy introvert I don't try the stitching tables, or speed dating. I find the rest of the elements keeps me occupied in a way that suits me. I like that we can all take part in the sections that suit each of us.
I attended the Jingle Ball for the first time. I enjoyed the Meet & Greets and shopping. I lurked briefly in one of the stitching rooms. It would be easier to be in a stitching room if I knew someone else. I was not brave enough to do speed dating! Thank you as always for sharing your beautiful stitching. My favorites this week were the Prairie Schooler Christmas Eve and Spring Awakens. Spring is beautiful with the monochromatic thread! I’m so sorry you had a rough weekend. Blessings on you!

Hi Laura! Lovely stitching! I am a notebook girl, too. I have several on the go. My feelings about group stitching events is mixed. Some are very cliquee and that is a big turn off. I attended the Jingle Ball and I stitched in a couple of rooms which was ok. I shopped and downloaded a couple of freebies. I found some of the shops were quite pricey. Tiny Modernist was my go to for shopping. I just finished watching Black Doves which is a spy series. Sarah Lancashire is a lead actor and she is one of my favourites. I am really enjoying Day of the Jackal, too. I hope you have a great stitchy week and that the wind is at your back!🎄😊

This year was my first time at the Jingle Ball. I wanted to try speed dating. It was very nerve wracking, but the second the person popped on, honestly, it was all good😊. But boy, does that 5 minutes fly by. I was cut off mid conversation with the first person I was on with and never got to say goodbye to her (my first person on speed dating was Stitching With Sandi 😂). I really liked the designs in Tiny Modernist 's shop too. Have a lovely week!
Second! I will comment as you chat and try not to leave a 5000 word essay. Nope, I wouldn’t say your voice is nasal and I could understand every word. The Santa pup is adorable! A cats lick and a promise…fabulous saying but totally new to me. For me, the Canadian Table at Jingle Ball had more consistency of people and there was a natural flow to the chatter most of the time that was inclusive…I agree that if a few people completely take over the chatting it can feel weird and awkward. 🦉
On Prime, I believe it's "The Spirit of Christmas." Really nice story with a Hallmark twist. On Speed Dating, you join but you also get an 'are you ready?' button. At the end of the five minutes, you get another one. So, you don't have to do a full thirty minutes if you don't want to. I LOVE Tiny Modernist's Cuckoo Clocks and The Magic of Christmas.
I’m re-listening to Fourth Wing to prepare for Onyx Storm. Have you read/listened to Fireborne by Rosaria Munda. I’m on book 2. It’s another good fantasy world with dragons similar to Fourth Wing series but different too. Happy reading and stitching!
