this video was so beautiful. especially the part where you talk about how you wanted to be part of the experience and not only be the viewer; that hit me so hard. im trying my best to get a hand on this camera and when i do, i will be so excited to use it with me and my family/friends to create experiences together. again, this video is 10/10.
Thank you watching Johnny. I'm really glad to hear that the video really resonated with you. I hope you are able to get this or a similar camera in your life, it's such a great thing! Thank you for the kind words :)
This was beautiful I started shooting digital from shooting strictly film for fun and I think this is a great camera for the way I shoot. Thank you for sharing the beautiful images and reasons why you love the fuji x100v
Love your photos! Really clicked with everything you said in the video. The x100v is indeed an awesome camera and it's my daily driver for 2 years now. The fact that I can carry this camera everywhere with me, the image quality and the rangefinder shooting experience really won me over other cameras. It let me tell a story and it helped me to grow. I am pretty sure I will always own an x100 series camera from now on :))
I'm a hobbyist photog, just my kids/family, on rare occasions I go out and shoot for myself. I sold my entire Sony ILCE system... and have exclusively shot the X100V for 2 years now. To me, the limitations of a 35mm and the OOC film simulations is the freedom. I don't have to spend hours tweaking ARWs in Lightroom. I don't have to consider which lens. I just grab my camera and go. It's like the iPhone camera, only much better. And yeah, that's been my experience. About the only decision I make, is which film simulation I might use -- usually recipes for Portra or Acros. That's pretty easy peasy. That's not to say borrowing my wife's Sony RX10 isn't fun at the zoo, 600mm is fun when the tiger is across the entire enclosure... but yeah, day to day, I adore the X100.
Couldn’t agree more! I had to wait 7 months last year (2022) before taking delivery of my black X100V. I wanted to up my iPhone photography experience and so far it’s great! Small enough that I’ll be taking it on bicycle rides. Great video … thanks.
Thanks Scott to share those emotions with us. It resonate with me. Nowedays, we constantly look for new gears & we acumulate more & more. But with the years, i've recently started to looks for simplicity & minimalism... Those new tools can help us to stay focus with our passion without distraction and too much gears.
Videos like this touch a little something for me when I started on my photography journey back in 2013 with my x100s. I am tempted to pick up a x100T or x100F now for a more filmic output of the older sensors. Thanks for sharing your journey with the x100v.
Love this video, resonating strongly here. I’ve had my X100V for almost a year now and love it. Never disappoints… I didn’t get drawn in by the hype, nor repelled by it. I didn’t even know the X100V existed at that time. I felt like I had outgrown my previous camera, it was no longer inspiring me - the opposite, in fact. I had stopped using it, preferring the immediacy of my iPhone but regretting the picture quality (it’s an iPhone 6S Plus and I like shooting at night). I wasn’t sure which way to go. For months on Instagram I kept seeing images with beautiful colour tones and a filmic look, and eventually noticed they all had two common hashtags: ‘X100V’ and ‘SOOC’. And that was the way forward for me…
@@ScottBell I don’t share enough on social media to benefit from the SOOC jpegs, but they allow me to send pics to the client immediately and the client then tells me which ones they want to process further. The SOOCs are great for this, focusing and therefore accelerating the work flow. This goes against my old rule of never letting the client see anything I didn’t want them to see, but the SOOC jpegs are rarely a problem. Also, it’s always fun when a client says “I love this!” about a pic that previously I would not want them to see (blurry, poorly exposed, whatever).
Getting mine delivered in a few days. This really hit the nail on the head. I've been missing my X100S for all of these reasons. Can't wait to experience this all over again. Great video and photos!
Amazing video. I've owned the x100v for a few years now and I 100% agree with you. I'm also a professional photographer and carrying around the x100v is such a joy when compared to the pro gear we work with.
Great video. I too have had my X100V for almost a year and have the same experience as you have described. I also have reduced my film sims down to a couple, one of which is a great B&W called Bad Ink but I am still looking for "the one" colour sim. So, thanks for the link to Big Negative.
amazing video. Just got this camera and I am obsessed. I have a Sony a7iv but I feel obnoxious with that in hand. This I have in my 1L sling bag at all times. Amazing.
I am beginner to camera photography, and is still strolling on UA-cam videos to decide on which camera to buy. This video really explains the kinda camera X100V is. Also, great shots✌️
Thanks for sharing such a beautiful video, it encourages us to improve and be better photographers. It made my day, besides it is the camera I will purchase one day
Ive been wanting to get into photography but looking for a simple camera that pushes my creativity but also is impactful I think I found it, thanks.....
Awesome, hope you can find one! Don't write off the other simple Fujifilm cameras (X-E series) as well if you are just getting started. Good luck with your journey into photography!
very enjoyable. Check out the "Think Tank" "Little Stuff it" Fits on your belt and fits X100T, should fit yours. Great if you want to have it with you and not have it in a pocket.
Thanks Scott for your useful statement. shall I buy it now or wait for April for version VI (with most probably in 40mp, IBIS, and more Film Simulation)?
Cheers, thanks for watching Dany! I'm pretty sure that's Big Negative (linked in the description) as it's basically the only recipe I've used consistently with the camera.
Amazing video, will need to check out that recipe! In case you didn't know you can format the memory card without going into the menu by holding the drive/delete button for a few seconds and pressing the front scroll wheel! Hope this helps :) also quick question, are you using any filter on your lens?
Thanks for watching, glad you enjoyed it! And thanks for the tip on formatting, I did not know that. I have a Moment Cinebloom 10% on my lens, both to better weather seal the camera and for the extra bloom it adds. I think it contributes to the filmic look I'm after.
I just scaled the images down in Premiere pro and allowed a white background to appear. The images are all 4:3 or 16:9 aspect ratio scaled down to about 80% of the full screen to show the white border.
Thanks for watching. You can set all the dials to 'A' which makes them behave in auto. Or you can set ISO and shutter speed to 'A' and keep the aperture on manual for an aperture priority mode.
I want to buy x100v but it’s sold in everywhere. Some places have them but too expensive. Which store is legit? Where can I backorder it? Please help me out guys! I’m livin USA btw.

I love the instant look out of the camera!
It's pretty incredible how good it makes pictures look without having to do any work. Jpegs for life!
I literally just got back from the beach using my x100v. The best that Fuji has to offer 👌🏾👌🏾
Awesome, it really is! Thanks for stopping by for a watch.
Beautiful shots! I will definitely be getting this camera later this year. Thanks for the vid!
Thank you 🙂 appreciate you watching!
Been drooling over the shots from these cameras for a while now. The SOOC images are sooooo beautiful! Might have to pick one up this year
Cheers Daniel, thanks for watching. It's definitely an incredible camera for SOOC shots! I hope you can find one.

haven’t watched a youtube video full through in a second....but i’m losing my mind. this was so inspiring and beautiful.
Thanks so much Rachel, that means a lot! Glad you enjoyed the video and thank you for watching :)
Great video Scott.......Would love to see a video of you out & about and possibly discuss differant camera settings. Thanks again
thanks for watching!
Thanks for your insight Scott. I think i'll get one, for an entirely different reason than why I shoot with my pro cameras.

This was so sweet and inspiring, I had to check if it was a Fujifilm sponsored film. So honest and real.
Aww thanks, glad you enjoyed! Not sponsored, just love this camera so much.

Amazing video! Just finished shooting my trip to NYC with it. I have fallen in love with this camera!
Thanks for watching! Glad you are having as much fun with it as I am :)

An incredible video. Tried going through the photos without the hauntingly beautiful music to have an unbiased opinion; was still left wanting more.
Thanks a lot, that's really nice to hear! Glad you enjoyed it with and without the incredible soundtrack from @musicbed!
That does it I want one now. Great vid Scott
I hope you can find one at a good price! Thanks for watching.
The tilt screen so well integrated, I forget it is there.
Totally! There are times I wish I could tilt it when in portrait mode but that's a small complaint.
Such a good video. Love this camera.

Can you tell me what is the ratio for the white frame, and how do you do it? Thank you so much!
I just scaled the images down in Premiere pro and allowed a white background to appear. The images are all 4:3 or 16:9 aspect ratio scaled down to about 80% of the full screen to show the white border.
