Fantastic Performance, by these two Giants musicians and composers, They are like wine, They get better with time, May God bless them, Yesterday, today, and Tomorrow.!
One of my all time favorites.....Carole King. Beautiful....smart...funny....hard working....talented....and on and on. Someone to admire for sure. Thank you Carole for so many years of sharing your amazing entertaining with us all. ❤
My younger friends don’t seem to understand why I have to spend lots of money and days off to travel from Michigan to Tanglewood, Massachusetts just to watch a James Taylor concert on the 4th of July. Only if they knew❤. You can’t quantify feelings and memories ♥️
@@anonymousfemale9231 I will see him in his 2 upcoming concerts in Michigan and Boston. Hopefully there are still tickets for Illinois and Indiana concerts
When I was a teenager I heard this song in my imagination, got married in my 20's, heard this song, forgot to hear it in my 30's or 40's. Now I am over 60 years old. And I am listening to this song again. The song reminds me of many things at milestones in my life and gives me the strength to move forward.
Heard her songs through my aunt who bought it on ‘71 i was 8 yrs old and the album songs were lullaby songs to me and to my siblings.Bought her cd in late 80’s and now i am 60 still listening to her songs.
The greatest couple of American contemporary music! For the last 50 years or forever! Would like to see here much more those of these heart-moving performances. They will be in our hearts forever, truely!
@@brianpiersol9412 We do but it's so much harder to find and you have to stream it. Damien rice, civil wars, George Ezra, James blunt as far as decent love songs.
Where did these days go ??? Just listen to the "Crap" they give us today. Now I now what Hell is like !! NO Auto Tune, NO Strobe lights and special effects. Just PURE Talent. O'h, what I wouldn't give to go back to those times. Air was clean and Sex was dirty !! >
I can remember back in the 70s as a junior in college, going to see Carol King in Pauley Pavilion at UCLA then the next day seeing Phoebe Snow at the Beverly Theater and then Peggy Lee in Westwood Village. Those to me, were the days when artists were true to their art without need for balloons, T&A or light shows and were so talented they could hold their audiences with just their raw talent. So glad I was there when the there was the best.
Timeless. A lasting treasure, so they sing now and sang years before. Carole King is truly beautiful, inspirational. With JT, their artistic collaboration is so powerful and magical. I was a teenager, coming of age in those Wonder Years, when these anthems and iconic LP albums came out, and radio played them on AM. No MTV, no IG. The music defined us, the Tapestry woven, and James Taylor, full set of shoulder length hair and mustache, definitely made us remember that You've Got A Friend, Winter, spring, summer or fall. It was a milestone seeing him perform live back home in the Philippines, decades after he just did a sell out one in a huge venue. My peers raved, and their kids did, too. His music is for everyone who loves life, celebrates it!
Open your ears and your mind to new music. You might just be surprised how much great music is still being made, even if it's very different from the stuff you grew up loving.
@@calebhylkema2862unfortunately pitch correction & other forms of auto tune ensure we will never hear true voices like we used to so even great singers just don’t sound like the singers of yesteryear.
@@lindajoy23 if you think every artist is using auto tune, you're wrong. If you think auto tune completely invalidates a singers voice, you're also wrong.
Im a huge Celine Dion fan and watching now Divas where Carole sang with her...She still looks the same!!!!!!!!! Because of Celine i know who Carole King is ...she is a good singer and woman
Tonight, you're mine completely You give your love so sweetly Tonight, the light of love is in your eyes But will you love me tomorrow? Is this a lasting treasure Or just a moment's pleasure? Can I believe the magic of your sighs? Will you still love me tomorrow? Tonight with words unspoken You say that I'm the only one But will my heart be broken When the night (when the night) Meets the mor- (meets the morning sun) I'd like to know that your love Is love I can be sure of So tell me now, and I won't ask again Will you still love me tomorrow? I love that she clearly ages naturally and beautifully. What a sweet performance.
it never gets old.
that's why it is a classic.

Did you see her on Gilmore Girls? She was funny!! Ran a music store in Stars Hollow.
Magnificent travels to a time in the past where music so moved the spirit. Thank you for posting this video!

JT is awesome!
His concerts were some of the best! I've seen many artists. I'm in Michigan too😊 remembering the good ol' days when you could get tickets for $6-$15🤪
Most of the kids of today, don't appreciate Good Music. ❤❤
We All get old. But OMG, they can still bring it!!
Been around forever, still sound great... Real talent does not go away

Yes…I forgot too… and we’re prob same age. Now we have perspective and wisdom. And, I’m grateful to be where I am now
me too. 62
My most favorite song in 1971 from your amazing album Tapestry!
A favourite album from when it first came out and still so good
It feels like her album and James Taylor's Sweet Baby James were released on the same day.
They go hand in hand.
Heard her songs through my aunt who bought it on ‘71 i was 8 yrs old and the album songs were lullaby songs to me and to my siblings.Bought her cd in late 80’s and now i am 60 still listening to her songs.
Luv this. Yes she is beautiful, and her voice hasn't changed but one bit!!! So admire her n James😊🙌
I meant not one but!!!!
Two legends who I adore!!! Awesome!!!😍

What about James ex wife, CARLEY SIMON?
I don’t think they were ever a couple. They were dear friends though. Right, James and Carly were married and had kids
The most timeless of classics inspiring compassionate love throughout the universe created through Carol King's human perspective of real art!
Thanks for the song Carole.
Why don't we hear truly great music like this nowadays? Truly precious music!
Million dollar question? I agree...... why?

Amazing , absolutely amazing she is still able to hit those highs seemingly no problem and holding them perfectly
I can't listen to this performance without crying!!
Pure magic, the blend of Carole Kings' and James Taylors' voices'.
You tube is closest to time machine - you can watch Carole's performance from Yesterday and Tomorrow!
One of my all time favorites.
True musicians who have done the hard yards not just been promoted as media stars.
Now that is music!!! A beautiful talented woman accompanied by that musician of musicans - Mr Taylor!!
2:17 The sweetest 30 seconds in popular music history.
So beautiful ❤
The greatest music is from the 70's and 80's. Mush simpler times.

My #1 musical idol
To see two musical geniuses who once loved each other so much, and who created the soundrack to so many of our lives, reunited in music, is FABULOUS.
❤i love listening classical songs like this
The Baby Boomers set the bar and nobody took the torch
There have been some incredibly good songs in later eras. As well as a whole lot of duds.
Boy, isn’t that the truth

Such a beautiful song!!
Like watching two 80-year-old veterans of WWII hit the beaches of Normandy all over again.
Two legends
The ideal couple...together???
Taylor&Carol
It sound wonderful
Compliment
❤
I loved every song on Tapestry, but a little embarrassed to admit it at the time , I don’t know why but I don’t anymore
I like the song but you hear her more then you hear him and he needs to be a louder
also remember Gerry Goffin , passed away 10 years ago this June, who wrote the lyrics to this song
Thank you for calling that out! There's so much history here that most people don't know.
Thank you for posting this. ❤
They are BEST FRIENDS😊

Carol I will love you tomorrow and forever
Tonight, you're mine completely
You give your love so sweetly
Tonight, the light of love is in your eyes
But will you love me tomorrow?
Is this a lasting treasure
Or just a moment's pleasure?
Can I believe the magic of your sighs?
Will you still love me tomorrow?
Tonight with words unspoken

But will my heart be broken
When the night (when the night)

Is love I can be sure of
So tell me now, and I won't ask again
