Thanks for the video a got a whole set of parts from Amazon to fix it for $14.99. I only needed the $4.99 cyclic thermostat at 1:11 in the video, but imagined the other parts might wear out.
Good video however, you should have also shown how to do a continuity check on the heating element! That turned out to be the problem on mine. From age and use it opened up on one of the coils. Just a thought. Thanks for the post.
when i have an Old Maytag dryer had problems Starting it's the Thermal fuse on the Blower housing so i replace the fuse with the breaker off or dryer unplugged and i Repaired the dryer squeaking it's sounds horrible when the Dryer starts Up
For a continuity test like he's doing - set your voltmeter to the Ohms setting - then place one prong on one terminal lead, and place the other prong on the other terminal lead - MAKE SURE YOUR DRYER is unplugged. 240 volts can kill... anyways, this tests if there is an electrical connection between the leads. if no response on your voltmeter, that part is dead. you can test it on anything... like a screw, or the metal ring that holds your dryer hose in place... if electricity can pass through it, it will tell you. if it stays at zero or no response - that part is dead.
When the dryer is not heating i Replace one of the Following parts Thermal Cutoff Fuse or Thermal fuse to repair This Problem With The Power Always Off until everything is back again, When The Dryer heats up it glows bright Orange i Like the Door Closed When it's Heating
I watched ur video and i was using the multimeter. I couldnt tell in ur video what u were touching with that multimeter u went way fast.. slow down. Need to show what u touched to get ur readings
THANK YOU 😊😊😊😊
You went right to the point and didn't spend 15 minutes gabbing about useless stuff.😊😊😊😊
I Wish everyone would do that 😊😊😊
Thank you! You saved me a ton of trouble just by resetting the breaker. I was only getting 120. It was tumbling but not heating.

I did use a voltmeter to check the thermostat, I used one less than $10 like this one search: "Digital Multimeter for Measuring Voltage, Resistance, Current, Continuity, Battery and Diode Multi Tester with Premium Probes, Backlight, Case, Stand from Plusivo"
We are in the middle of the COVID-19 lockdown and my dryer went out, thankfully this video saved the day.
Same! What is the thing called he’s using to test voltage?! Not everyone has one of those
@@codyhaynes4550 it's a Digital Multimeter, Amazon has them for about $12.
Same here
@@codyhaynes4550 that was a multimeter he used
BUT YO DIS DUDE GOT OUR BACKS
Thank you very much for the video. It just saved me almost 80.00 for a heating element that i didnt need. I never thought of the thermostat.
Excellent video! I will check the parts you showed and see if i can do this myself. Thanks for giving me the confidence to try.
So easy! Thank you. Where do I buy a new thermostat for my Whirlpool?
What would cause it to heat sometimes and not other times?
Glad to see you making videos again.

Does the heating element come on and then off during the drying cycle?
What is it when your electric dryer works as it should and shuts off at the end of the cycle, but the heat is staying on?
Very helpful video! Got my dryer working now!!!

Man this video help me to fix my Dryer thank you brooo hahaha 👍🏼
Sam Sales no problem
For beginners....I Can't Tell Where you are Placing the Voltometer Prongs???
For a continuity test like he's doing - set your voltmeter to the Ohms setting - then place one prong on one terminal lead, and place the other prong on the other terminal lead - MAKE SURE YOUR DRYER is unplugged. 240 volts can kill... anyways, this tests if there is an electrical connection between the leads. if no response on your voltmeter, that part is dead. you can test it on anything... like a screw, or the metal ring that holds your dryer hose in place... if electricity can pass through it, it will tell you. if it stays at zero or no response - that part is dead.
What if it is none of those ? What would u check next ??
Jamie Whitman it can also be with the Time
He means the timer knob mechanism
How do I know? How much it suppose to test? You said is bad but don't said the test.
Great video thanks. It helped me. I love throwing my tools and broken parts too lol
When the dryer is not heating i Replace one of the Following parts Thermal Cutoff Fuse or Thermal fuse to repair This Problem With The Power Always Off until everything is back again,
When The Dryer heats up it glows bright Orange i Like the Door Closed When it's Heating
My dryer heat turns off after 2 minutes. The flame in the back stops burning but all the fuses tested positive. What else could be wrong with it?
restricted air flow
what would you do without a voltmeter
What if only one setting is not working/heating but other settings work?
How do you install a card reader Whirlpool commercial dryer
very Informational Video. Thanks a lot!!!
If your cycling thermostat is bad it will still show continuity at room temperature and keep tripping the high temp thermostat.
Where do you get the replacement parts?
BirkItOut you can go online on repairclinic.com
How much is that part?
I got a whole set of parts for $14.99:

Y know fixer bro. You really had to surprise whirlpool like that
Like it keeping it simple
Anybody have the part number for this?
Thanks, good job.
Nice
Don’t you need to figure out why the thermal cut off went bad?
Michelle McGrath the thermostat went bad because the bent is block ,
I watched ur video and i was using the multimeter. I couldnt tell in ur video what u were touching with that multimeter u went way fast.. slow down. Need to show what u touched to get ur readings
Like how he didn't check the thermostat after he installed it...
Literally got a brand new one and the damn thing isn't heating. This a common thing with this model
Is the music in the background necessary?
Never addressed why it went out
But i dont have a boltometer
YOU CRAZY, IT'S A MULTIMETER
It's almost always the thermal fuse
Bam that's how you make 200$ in 5 min.
Part number please
Easy $125 ?
Looks like Inglis and or maytag dryer😂.
Got a brand new one just like yours bring it in hook it up and no heat!!! Wtf
Hillbilly QuadCopters check the heater element , if the heater is good the problem is the Timer
Sure me
shouldnt you test for heat first BEFORE closing the back cover. just in case. murphy's law you know
Why show people if your camera is at a messed up angle? Why explain to people if your hands are in the way and we can’t see what your doing smh?
NOT a good tutorial video. The guy moves too fast and a novice such as myself can't see what he's doing.
YO DUDE, WHEN THE FAST PARTS COME, PUT SLOMO AND SEE, HE IS SPEEDING THE VID A BIT DUE TO 15 MINUTES ADDED TO YOUTBE NOW
