Wooden Hand Plane

- A while back I made my daughter a wooden hand plane. She loves it, which made me want one for myself.
I wanted this plane to be something that I'd use often, something that would become a treasured tool in my shop. I had some free curly maple scraps that I'd been holding on to for over a year, waiting for a project just like this one. - Розваги
Beautiful work. I hope the plane is a pleasure to use.
The best shaped wooden plane in my humble opinion! Congratulation.
Now this is inspiring work. Beautiful!
Great project! That plane is a piece of woodworking art!
What a cracking piece of kit you have made , a true craftsman
Absolutely stunning plane! Great job.
Excellent design; the contrasting woods really make it pop!. It was a pleasure to see you make this tool and I'm a sure it's a pleasure to use. Best wishes

Work of art.
Nice plane, cant wait to make one
Simply marvelous brother
Good to see you're still making things. Thought I would see what you're up to, and I would say that I was pleasantly surprised, but not surprised in the least. Just pleasant. I still cherish my lamp wholeheartedly.
+Rachel Gilbert Glad to hear that (and to hear from you)! I imagine you probably still have my email if you'd like to catch up. Cheers!

Hello Columbia from England 🖐️
Really neat design... Came out really well!
+Dutchhorse Thanks! As for the design it's meant to be sort of Krenov-style.
I love it.
Nice veneer you made with that new plane!
Good job 👍
Good job
Nice work
Awesome work! It sounds as if you live next to an Indy race track! lol
Nice plane. I like the veneer lamination.
Very nice.
I think I'll use a spokeshave.
No bandsaw at my place.
Chisel master!
Handsome!
top job
This is really nice, thanks for posting. Looking forward to seeing the next video. The spatula is an awesome glue spreader - guess what's going "missing" from our kitchen drawer this weekend!
Yeah, it's great, though the idea comes from Matthias Wandel :-)
Oh, so it does, I've only realised now you've mentioned it. Been watching Matthias for a while but never noticed before!
Two thumbs up
Very Nice! Now let's see you make one with hand tools only.........like they were originally made.
Cool plane, it seems to work well ! But I'm wondering, there is no chipbreaker ?
❤❤
suuuper plane
Most of the back ground sounds like a star wars space battle
i'll gladly appreciate it if you can share the exact measurement of the built. Thanks and more power.
I want them too, please, thanks and congratulations!
Nice job man. Very sleek and smooth looking. The tiger maple is awesome.
Hey do you live next to a race track? It sounds like a bunch of motorcycles.
Outstanding. What is your accent wood?
I like your plane. Do you make different types? How much would you charge for your planes made from (IRONWOOD)? Thank you for your video mate. I look forward to hearing from you.
Absolutely stunning looking plane. Furthermore looks like it planes evenly/true. What type of veneer did you use?
Thanks! It's rosewood veneer -- I got a couple boxes of random veneers from a garage sale a while back.
vroeger hè, vroeger maakten we zo`n schaaf uit èèn stuk beukenhout; gewoon uitbeitelen!
Dont tell everyone but my son would like to know what are some good ideas for the home depot floor samples? he has collected a lot of bamboo flooring samples lol but doesnt know what to do, can you help?
frndZz any persons working at cruise vvessel
At what angles please did you cut for the blade and the waste exit?
If I recall correctly, 45 degrees and 75 degrees, but it's been a long time.
Nice build!
Could you please specify both inside angles? It's pretty much the only thing that holds me...
According to my notes, the blade's at 45 degrees, and I believe the other side is at 60.
Thank you!
Hi, if my research is correct one angle is at 40 and the other at 60 degrees.
Semper Fi
what kind of blade did you use for the plane
I found it at a used tool store, and was just a generic plane blade.
Very nice job! Do you live by a race track? lol
Beautiful.... What did you finish it with?
Shellac -- I love the stuff
+Dan Lecocq Also, fun fact: shellac is bugs.
Great video and lovely plane, but please tell the racetrack outside to keep it down lol slightly annoying 😂
Either you live in the middle of a freeway or the young kids love doing wheelies past your shop door ...
that is one awesome looking plane! have u made any more since? not sure how often you subscribe to other woodworking channels but I would love to have you aboard mine have a good one man! -keep the vids coming!!🖒💥🍻💥
Don't get me wrong.....this is a great project and you did an awesome job.......but maybe, if you can spend this amount of time on a hand plane, maybe you could spend 30 seconds on a profile pic!
Las medidas ? Gracias.
Lo siento, pero ya no las tengo. Hay otras videos con mas detales :-/
@@sowiebinich guide me...
I'll make it myself. Just got instructions from woodprix website and I'm ready to do it :D
😢н😢😢
Needs explanation, at least commentary.
not very useful if you don't say how you marked out your center pin position nor your wedge angle
