- Bob Bradshaw gives an overview of Stephen Carpenter's rig at the Custom Audio Electronics shop within Tone Tailors, based out of the Rock Lititz campus in Lititz, PA.
Steph is my favorite guitarist of all time
UniqueSimBuilds You must have a different opinion... 🤡
@UniqueSimBuilds You shall not pass
You are doing God's work. This rig looks amazing.
Damn i wish i could play through that rig for about 3 hours. That would be great, my idea of a good time.
Bob BRADSHAW is a pioneer and a legend in the guitar world. Mr. BRADSHAW's unique vision was implemented via his many groundbreaking products and solutions released by CUSTOM AUDIO ELECTRONICS. Mr. BRADSHAW's ideas and products were and continue to be imitated but never equaled in terms of functionality, quality and longevity.
That is one sexy rig. The pedals look so nice set up like that - super clean without dust or marks.
first found out about Bob Bradshaw through a Neurosis overview for Steve's rig. big respect for this guy
Thanks so much for posting
I'm about to record some guitar, watched this for motivation. not disappointed ! :)
that setup is insane
The things I would do for a clear shot of that FZ-2 to see the settings lmao
Oh I'm envious. That is a real pro's rig.
and now steph switched to a line 6 helix floorboard in place of almost all of it because he said he actually had alot of issues trying to get axe fx to sound right for him for 3-4 years
I still use my Rocktron Replifex to this day. It has some of the most analog sounding mod fx you'll likely ever hear in rack equipment.
It's funny how the G Major sells for less and on paper it is supposed to be better. G major sounds like VST compared to the replifex.
@@CIRCLEOFTONEg major is for boomers
So that Bradshaw midi controller controls everything including that AxeFx? Can you still control AxeFx full on with that in that setup like switching presets, scenes, and FX blocks within that actual AxeFx unit?
Cool
I didn't know all of these pedals were used to create his sound... seriously, anybody knows when he uses the Zvex seekwah?
Where does the guitar plug in?
Been playing guitar for a very long time and the amounts of technology for sound engineering is insane these days .. I honestly heard preamps pedals loops and the rest is like how does this alp connect together?? When I play two pedals in series with my Line 6 Helix it chokes the signal out - I’m sure there are videos out there of the fundamentals but still - doesn’t seem like a walk in the park type stuff
and steph actually ditched most of this rig specifically for a helix floorboard now.
Dayum...
Could not even see what the analog pedals were.
Anyone know what type of rack that is?
I've owned four jmp-1 preamps. I keep streamlining and selling them. I just don't learn! I miss it every time.
Do you have a spare jmp1 that could maybe be bought off of you
@@8_cat._.hat_8 Negative. Like I said I keep selling them off. I don't even have one for myself. I buy one, really enjoy it for a while then think to myself "It's not perfect. " so I sell it off. Then I miss it after a couple of years. And the vicious cycle continues haha.
@@eduardwilliams1245 sold mine back in like 07 on ebay along with the rest of my Carpenter inspired rig and I miss all of it.
Fred Norris?
This guy is so cold..
This kind of videos would be a lot better if we could actually hear those guitar sounds

Which pedal drawers?
How much….. per rig…?
Such a vague interview compared to rig rundowns. 🙃
that horizon devices precision drive. makes me happy. saw periphery open for dillinger who opened fir deftones in 2011. lolol me n my ex hated periphery hahaha now I cant go a day without listening to em.
What’s that silver single space unit that’s above the fryette power amps and below that bottom pedal drawer? Amp switcher?
Jesus
All he needs is distortion and clean..
You can use this to get to the next universe
glad hes going back to analog, the past times I seen him with axefx has been horrible like zero bass or bite
Of course it's a SIMPLE system Lol
Jmp1... whhhh
Fucking science experiment guitar rig. I don't even understand.
On paper, I think his tone should sound like garbage! But Steph's heavy tones have been some of my favorites going back to 1997 when I saw them @ St. Andrew's in Detroit. There couldnt have been 150 ppl there. I remember Chino jumping off the top of the house AP system, which I measured years later, is 13½ feet high. There was MAYBE 10 ppl under him when he leapt and the crowd was so hype when he landed about 50 ppl were under him. First and last time I ever saw anyone jump off that speaker tower(That said i can remember) He didn't wimp out and do that Im slowly sliding off this this thing....no, he fuckin JUMPED OFF THAT BITCH, which had to have added another 2-3 feet of air. Thats how crazy those shows were back then. Such amazing memories! In 1998 they played Warped tour, then the next time i saw them was after white pony and they headlined the historical Cobo Arena(see the band KISS and feature length film for details on Cobo lol) Taproot opened for them which was awesome, bcuz at the time Fred Durst was trying to black ball Taproot from the music industry but theyre local Michigan boys and they hold their own.
mucho respeto a la Deftones. ¡Mucho respeto a Chi, te extrañamos brutha!
