Love you Bisscute!! Thank you for doing this tribute song!! It is the best song ever recorded in music history!!
As much as I love the song, the bands and your reaction, I'm obsessed with your Daria t-shirt!
Those are Bonham's original orange drums being played wonderfully by his son Jason.
That kit is featured in their 1973 Madison Square Garden concert used in the movie The Song Remains the Same.
Stunning ❤
Biscuit. I love that you ❤ it. The song & performance capture's many emotions.
If you watch & listen again, you'll still get those goosebumps 😘
So awesome!
And his hat
This is always a tear jerker for all of us older sentimental types. Ann's voice is just second to none.
Watching Robert Plant during this performance is very moving
Agreed. You can tell he was thinking about Bonham and that a band he knows are very big fans of his band were putting everything they had into paying tribute.
it's gotta be weird.. write a song in your 20's - in the midst of all the craziness of fame and touring and all it's excesses.. and yeah... people like it and all....but it was something among all the other things you were doing at the time then - 50 years go by... and it's still on the radio occasionally.. and the president of the united states gives you a medal while another pretty famous band (and extras) plays it to you and for . I imagine sitting there had to have been weird...very weird.
I have difficulty watching him, I think this song is such an emotional burden for him
I love that Jason and the choir had the Bonham hat's on..what an amazing tribute...Ann and Nancy Wilson are also still just as amazing as they were in the 70s
Yep the bowler hats were his thing :)
I can only imagine what the producers said to recruit the lead guitarist...
"Hey, Shayne Fontaine, we need you for a gig at the Kennedy Center honors. You'll play THE most legendary guitar solo ever, in front of The Legend himself. And he WILL study your performance. No pressure!!"
The pure pleasure and joy Jimmy showed the entire performance tells me he loved the tribute.
One of the most impressive things about this performance, is that Ann was 62 years old, and suffering from the flu. Despite that, she dug deep within herself, found incredible strength, and managed to turn in an absolutely spectacular, once in a lifetime performance.
The most moving thing for me here is watching Robert Plant tear up at this. It’s even more ironic because Robert said himself he doesn’t like this song because of how many times he’s had to perform it over the years. Yet in one moving moment the song he always said he never cared for in the end caused him to tear up. Beautifully poetic in a way!
I always think about the guy that played the guitar solo. I'll bet he got a call from somebody who asked him if he would be available to play a gig next Friday. Guy asks him if he knows the solo to "Stairway to Heaven". He says not really, but he's sure he could work something up. Couple of days later he thinks to call the guy and ask who he's playing with. Guy says: "Oh, I didn't tell you? You're backing the Wilson sisters, from Heart. John Bonham's kid is playing drums. It's a tribute to Led Zeppelin. They're gonna be in the balcony, along with the President and people like that."
This is the best cover version of this song! The Wilson sisters are legends! Thanks for this reaction.
it was crap
@@EugeneVersterif you want to hear crap listen to any live version of this song by Led Zeppelin…
I always get goosebumps and teary every time I hear this performance. The drummer is Jason Bonham and he is the son of the original and only drummer John Bonham.
Also, the godson of Robert Plant...
Thanks for the info about Jason being the son of the original drummer. When I first just came across the other yt. video, I thought the son was in the audience with Jimmy And Robert and didn’t know he was the drummer.
The sisters were huge fans of Led Zeppelin!
I still say this is the greatest cover performance ever. Not just Heart covering it, but actually adding to the greatness of the song, and doing it live in front of Led Zeppelin. Amazing! 😊❤️😊
I remember watching this live sitting in tears watching this tribute in my living room.... to this day, it still gives me chills...
Doesn’t matter how many times I see this, I always start crying when Jason Bonham looks upward as Ann sings “to heaven”
My understanding is that Nancy, the vocalist, was 60 years old at the time of this performance. DAMN!
"There are moments in this lifetime when you have to stand and do the clappy clappy" is now a part of my vocabulary forever.
Hey beautyfull ladie!!! Thanks. Amazing reaction !!!! The drummer is Jason Boham. The son of John Boham. The original drummer of Led Zeppelin.
Ann Wilson has one of the most powerful female voices. And her sister Nancy can play a mean guitar. This is one of the best tributes to Led Zeppelin with Ann & Nancy doing the classic song "Stairway To Heaven". No one else could have pulled it off as well. "Heart" have had so many great hits such as "Magic Man", "Crazy On You", "Barracuda", "What About Love", "Never", "Dog & Butterfly", "These Dreams", "Alone" etc.
She has one of THE most powerful voices in rock, make or female.
I've seen her live many years ago.
All I want to do (is make love to you)
And Soul of the Sea!
Nancy is no mean singer herself. Check her out in the live version of These Dreams
it was crap
In case you didn't know yeah it was the three members of Led Zeppelin in the balcony. the drummer was the original Led Zeppelin drummer son, Jason Bonham.
One of my brothers I served with is on vacation in ROMANIA 🇷🇴 right now.
DAMN, Bisscute - You missed the reason Robert Plant was standing up, pointing & smiling as you began video - they just introduced that Jason Bonham, Zeppelin's late drummer John Bonham's son, and Plant's Godson, was playing with the Wilson sister's Heart band that night -- something the Zeppelin trio did NOT know - VERY emotional, especially at end when Jason looks up at the final reference to "heaven" for his dad. PHEW, so much talent & emotion on that stage & in that room that night
Ive watched this video dozens of times now and get chills, and goosebumps, every time. I managed to download this to my phone so I can listen to it anytime I want.
There is a longer version ;)
Robert Plant (vocals) of Led Zeppelin said he was once asked by a fan if there was a 'magic aura' around the band when they first played 'Stairway to Heaven' live (around 1971), and he replied, "No actually... they audience was bored to tears because they were waiting to hear something they knew... like 'Whole lotta love'... " 🤣
Decades later, 'Stairway to Heaven' is still the ultimate classic rock epic song... #1 in demand on classic radio...and the 4th album by Led Zeppelin ('Led Zeppelin IV') has sold over 24 million copies in the US alone and is the 5th best-selling record of all time.
This 2012 tribute honored Led Zeppelin @ the Kennedy Center Awards... attended by Pres. Obama. Heart are huge Zeppelin fans since the 70's... so Ann and Nancy Wilson playing 'Stairway to Heaven' was perfect... w/ (late Led Zeppelin drummer) John Bonham's son Jason Bonham on drums... and Robert Plant (vocals), Jimmy Page (guitar) and John Paul Jones (bass/ keyboards) watching. The bowler hats worn by Jason Bonham and the choir was a tribute to the late John Bonham, who used to wear a hat like that on stage.
Robert Plant has reportedly turned down offers to tour as Led Zeppelin mainly because he still felt the loss of his friend John Bonham (whom he had known since they were teens) ... He reportedly told Jason Bonham that he still missed his dad and it was painful for him to play Zeppelin songs and not see John Bonham on the drum kit. Other than playing a few Zeppelin songs in concert as a solo artist, Robert Plant doesn't perform 'Stairway to Heaven' these days... He claims that Zeppelin's 'heavy rock' sound is not what he prefers to perform at his age.
Zep didn't really like playing Stairway live that often anyway from what I have gathered. A lot of times, they would change the song's tempo, the words, sometimes the entire solo and the song ended up sounding like an entirely different song as a result sometimes. Weirdly enough, this tribute cover may be the closest thing to the actual album version Led Zeppelin did, only live.
omg !!! Be prepared to have your soul bared, to be mind blown, to experience someting so magical, something that'll leave you speechless....
So basically love Heart ❤️ and
Led Zeppelin ❤🤘🏻
Ann was 62 here and her sister Nancy was about 59..Heart has done other covers of Zeppelin songs.."Kaahmir","Black Dog",and "Rock and Roll" There's an early version of Ann doing Rock and Roll from about 1978. Ann just recently done a song with the band "Disturbed" titled "Don't Tell Me" Another older song that kind of gets lost that Ann did with Mike Reno from the early 80's was from the movie "Footloose" the song is titled "Almost Paridise "There is no live version of her singing it with Mike but there is a live version on UA-cam with her and Kenny Loggins singing it together from the early 2000's...
Ann and Nancy Wilson are the only artists that could cover this amazing song and do it justice. The icing on the cake was that Jason Bonham the son of the late Led Zeppelin drummer John Bonham...(who was the only drummer for Zeppelin)...played drums in this performance using his father's orange Ludwig drum kit and also wore his father's black bowler (durby) hat in tribute. The amazing thing that I noticed the most was yes Jason played his father's drums but his father was inside of Jason controlling Jason's every beat. You could truly tell that it was John playing that song from within Jason's body. This is a world class performance that will be remembered in the history books of rock n roll performances. Fantastic job to all. Peace!!
This is said to be the greatest rock song ever.
The WHOLE WORLD loves this song,,,,💥💥💥👍🤪
The first big-name band I saw live was ... Led Zeppelin, November 1972. I was 16 and bunked off school to queue outside of Newcastle City Hall (in the rain) for tickets. Then I had to go back to school a bit soggy. The ticket price? £1 each. Changed days. I still have the ticket stub. Heart is the perfect band to cover this.
Surpassing the masters.
At the age of those women, the voice they still have is incredible.
Greatest song ever written...
Goosebumps every single time ❤
It definitely makes you happy.
Ann in her 60s sick with some flu still rocked the crap out of it as allways son on dads drums absolutely smashed it all of them
I DEFINITELY KNOW JOHN BONHAM WAS LOOKING DOWN ON HIS SON, CLAPING, CHEERING, CRYING, AND EXTREMELY PROUD!!! JASON DID HIS PAPA VERY PROUD!
Great reaction to my favorite high school song since the 70's.
You and many are simple and just reaction with positiv feelings. We need this in the world, together. Thanks! Wonderful.
Yes my dear biscute if you don't already know the obvious, these old men in the balcony are the original members and singers to Led zeppelin, they are being honored by heart doing this tribute to them
You made me cry!
Thank you!
And Led Zeppelin forever!
Robert plant said he hated covers of this song but loved this version
Over HEARTS early years they covered several led Zeppelin songs, I'm sure that's why they were chosen for this song
I reckon both bands could "catalog swap" (do each other's songs) and it would all sound phenomenal.
Wilson sisters have played Zep covers live for their entire career. Ann once said in an interview that most girls wanted to be Led Zeppelin's girlfriends but they wanted to BE Led Zeppelin
Originally, Heart wasn't the ones chosen to perform but Jason Bonham wanted the Wilson sisters to perform if he was to play...
I love how we can communicate with out making a sound!
Best cover ever,, period...
Words to live by: "There are times you have to stand up and do the clappy clappy" 😜😂❤
Great Reaction Beautiful young lady, Absolutely No Other Vocalist could have pulled this off!! 😘😎🤘.. Robert Plant is probably thinking,Damn I should have had an orchestra and Choir also!! Lol
Damn Biss now I'm getting emotional. We're are those days. So happy but miss it. Thanks young lady for the trip on memory lane. ❤️🇮🇹🇧🇪
🖐 geez, were more people on stage then in the audience 😅 Nancy belting this at 62 yrs old 💪, Kennedy center "series" are great, plant always hated covers of this song, he said, not this time.i loved the added strings, choir, etc. thumbs up to the guitarist who replicated that iconic solo perfectly in front of page. spot on biss, it's was a standing ovation moment 👏
The asian-looking guy reacting to the guitar solo is none other than Yo-Yo Ma, one of the greatest cello players of our time. They sure picked their audience.
Hi Bisscute, this is definitely one of the best covers I've ever heard. Everything about it is perfect...the arrangement, the performances and of course, Ann's awesome vocals. It got me pretty emotional (and gave me goosebumps) the first time I saw it, especially when I saw Robert Plant on the verge of tears. BTW, if you didn't already know, the drummer is Jason Bonham who is the son of Led Zeppelin's drummer, John Bonham, and he and the members of the choir were wearing the black "bowler" hats because that was the type of hat that his father frequently wore.
The long version is better... This cover is fantastic! I can't help but cry when i hear it, just like Robert at the end 🙏😁
I really can't think of a better tribute 😮❤!😅😊
I had forgotten how good this was! 😊
I always love it when the performers are given the opportunity to be fans of their own work. It's truly a rare gift.
One of the things about his show is that it's amazing to see just how proud the chorus is knowing g they knocked out the park! Makes me shed tears dang near every time I listen to it
I don't know if this was mentioned, but Ann Wilson was 62 years old at the time of this tribute. And she was fighting the flu. What a set of pipes!
When you realize that during the "but not to roll" line the mic was about a foot and a half away from her mouth and there were two choir sets and that many musicians playing full volume at once and you could hear that line over all of it. Yeah, she has always been a powerhouse vocalist
Arguably the best cover ever performed
Hi. Just wanted to pop in the comments and say I’m really enjoying your reactions. Thanks for doing what you do!
"stand and do the clappy clappy" 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Yes, that's Jason Bonham on drums, the son of their drummer the late John Bonham. The reason Robert Plant is standing and pointing at the stage at the beginning was because Jason Bonham playing in this performance was meant to be a surprise. The band had invited him to be there with them in the audience, but he had to pretend that he couldn't come so as to not ruin the surprise, so when they saw him on stage, they really were surprised.
This was from The Kennedy Center Honors. The Kennedy center is named in honor of assassinated US President John F. Kennedy, and is a performing arts center in Washington D.C., and every year the President on behalf of the Center awards different people for their contribution in the performing arts to American culture. That's why the Obamas, and other celebrities were there.
I could be completely wrong, but I think the asian guy the showed in the audience a couple times was Yo-Yo Ma. Who is a very famous cellist, that was like a child prodigy that started playing at 4 years old, and is considered one of the best cello players in the world. There was a period where he was talked about a lot. I just thought it was funny to see him there, and for them to focus on it.
Do you think that's all yo yo ma does?........open your mind, grasshopper........
@@joemendyk9994 Ha! No. I get it. It's just a funny juxtaposition, or whatever, in my mind that just seemed funny to me. I mean how often do you randomly expect to see Yo-Yo Ma just pop up out of nowhere anyways, but point taken.
Robert Plant had tears in his eyes. I should think this means your tribute performance was beyond excellent. And what a cast of performers.
I can't wait to see this one! I can see over 50K views before the weekend 😅 Easy! I'm wondering who the two ladies are on the graphics on your shirt? 🤘Cool looking shirt!! I'm sure people will comment who?!!
Can any praise be greater to a musician than to amaze the author of a masterpiece by your performance of it and get a standing ovation from them..!?
Шикарное исполнение легендарной песни!)))) Сам смотрел много раз
Yes , this is great
Extremely Beautiful Great Job Thanks Biscute❤❤❤
Rock legends playing for rock gods❤
Having Led Zeppelin in the audience watch this performance made it that bit more special .
He was the son of the drummer. John Bohnam Jason Bonham. Thats why he was wearimg his fathers baller hat
I can see why this is the world greatest song of all time. It has so many stages into different songs but all turns into one song. The built of this song is genious
I loved the reaction today Biss....oh, and I love your hair today as well!! Thanks as always, Cheers!!
The man on the drums is the son of the original drummer of Led Zeppelin. That is why the kisses and emotional waves between him and the rest of Led Zeppelin original band members.
EXCELLENT Bisscute, a Guitar Rift not allowed to be played in any Guitar store here in America. Heart did a super job to HONOR Led Zeppelin at Kennedy Center. One of the greatest songs ever in my Life. See if you can Name them Bisscute?? Not for Obama it's for US ALL... to remember. Be Safe, Be Well, Stay Humble and Kind Always. Cause what goes around comes around. Love You ❤❤❤❤
If you want to see how much influence Zeppelin, had on Heart you should listen to Minstral wind by Heart!
"Roadhouse Blues" by The Doors
If I was the guy with the Les Paul, I'd be terrified! "I got to play THIS in front of THEM!!!!!"
Hi Beautiful Biss ,
A Spectacular Tribute that truly capture's the spirit of the original by the sisters of Rock. They probably never imagined seeing a performance like that with a heavenly choir with bowler hats to stir the spirit.Robert was on the verge of tears , you could tell they were won over & really appreciated it. With Jon's son Jason on drums it would have been quite emotional, he was the little kid who grow up while they were practicing & was with heart for awhile. Anne said it was only afterwards walking backstage she became nervous like "what just happened"& it all kicked in.
At the dinner each member came up to them, Plant said how he grow to hate the song so much because it no longer felt like theirs, "so far from the home we've given it" & how everyone covers it so badly, "but you did great", Page also said "you played so well & I just kind of swooned, what a night". Asked whether the Wilson sisters would take part in a reunion without plant"I'd go & play with Jimmy & John Paul Jones any day of the week.
I'm glad you choose to do this one & did eventually realize who was who with them not being as young as they were, there's more classic 70's heart on the midnight special & Top Pop shows.
Thanks Bisscute, have a happy weekend 🤗💗🤟

6:20. They knew it would take a cast of hundreds to give tribute to four incredible individuals!🌸🍀🌼☘️
Thx Biss! I remember this. Goosebumps for sure. The choir the horns...wonderful.
This is for sure one the best tributes of an old classic I've ever heard/saw!!
Love the song and the band and I also love Heart, so when Ann and Nancy performed this for me it was WOW!! And than with all the little hints; the son of Jason play'in the drums, the hat he is wearing... and then the first choir kicking in... and at the end the second choir kicking in... Pfff... damn, maybe it's thé best tribute of a song I ever heard/saw !!! 😍😍😍
The Lady GOATs of Rock......Period. (Everyone should see the Whole night...) Incredible Talent on Stage.(Jason told the GUYS, he couldnt be there but was part of the show, from the planning) ( Robert saw him at the drums and stood Up and Pointed) Amazing.... Robert to Jimmy "Aint Bad"...LMAO The Guys know the Lady from the 70s. Great Friends.
You should watch the whole tribute!
Robert Plant is so emotional. For so many reasons. The biggest is watching his deceased best friend’s (John Bonham) son, Jason Bonham paying tribute to his late Father. And playing just like him.
Yeah ❤️
I love this tribute and watch every reaction to it that comes up on the wire. I'm so happy that I'm able to watch you react to it since you are my most favorite reactor! As someone who saw both Led Zeppelin and Heart in concert many times in the 70's (whenever they happened to play in Seattle or Portland!) I can tell you that this performance is one of the best covers of that epic song that has ever been played. Thank you very much and hope to see you react to more of both bands in the future, especially Heart. Ann and Nancy Wilson grew up just a few miles from me so they're family. 😃
hello Bisscute... i love ur reactions really enjoy and always have a smile as i watch you,,, ur so clever and beautiful and u enjoy the music,,, all that i want from a reactor... the most videos of you is something that i grow with them,,, this music,,, i am 53 and all this music that u react have built me as a grow man..... sorry for my english i hope understand what i mean... im not a subscriber yet.... i said again YET ,,, i hope see u react to the best of all ,,,,, RORY GHALLAHER in my opinion the best... sad but has gone so soon so young,,, becouse as i see u like listen the guitars.... is a must to see him,,, and all of us with you... hope the best for you...
Performing the most well known Led Zep song in front of the three surviving members ..... No Pressure Then. Amazingly well done.
I'm pretty sure Jason (drummer) at the end when he looks up he's thinking of his father like, father, I did it! Beautiful moment! 🤘
The drummer was looking up at the end because his father died of an overdose a long time ago. And his father was the drummer for LED Zeppelin John Bonham. Yess, the drummer you see playing in this video is his son Jason Bonham who took over playing for Led Zeppelin on drums after his father died. Hope you liked this video and some history of the guy playing drums.
I literally recommended this 6 mo ago and Bisscute said I’ve already reacted to stairway to heaven… lol either way happy it’s finally happening
I hope you enjoy this tribute biss when Robert plant years up gets me everytime.kudos to the guy playing the solo.I'm a guitar player and my grandkids love it when I play the intro.
Hello Miss Bisscute !!! Anne Vocals on this Led Zeppelin song Are Absolutely magnificent !!! In my Humble Opinion you will hear why this Is Such An Iconic Group know that Nancy ( Sister ) is the on Guitar 🎸 😎 As Always the like button 🔘 has been Illuminated !!! Still if you liked This I would Suggest the Moody Blues ( Nights in White Satin) live with orchestra 🎶🎵🎸😎👍
Bisscuteeeeeee 😭😭😭😭😭 tanks!!!!! Graciassssss
I've said the dozen or so times I've watched this video, " this is the best cover song I have ever heard" and you did wonderful standing up and clapping
I’ve seen this! Badass!!!!
They did an awesome cover
I know you've already done Heart's Alone, and Barracuda. I think you would also enjoy Crazy on You, These Dreams, and All I Wanna Do is Make Love to You.
No one covers Led Zeppelin like Heart. Much respect!!
I have listened and watched this video many, many times. Still love it. I cant get over the general performance and the arrangements, the guitar, the orchestra, etc... But Ann Wilson's voice... I cant believe the power and the range, the control and the emotion she delivers in every note.
It’s amazing ❤️
