The sisters Ann (vocals) and Nancy (guitar) Wilson founded the legendary rock band Heart, inducted into the Rock ‘N’ Roll Hall of Fame in 2013. The drummer, Jason Bonham, is the son of Led Zeppelin drummer John Bonham. John Bonham passed away in Sept. 1980 which marked the end of the band. From Wikipedia: Rather than replace Bonham, Led Zeppelin chose to disband out of respect for their deceased bandmate. They said in a press release on 4 December 1980: "We wish it to be known that the loss of our dear friend and the deep respect we have for his family, together with the sense of undivided harmony felt by ourselves and our manager, have led us to decide that we could not continue as we were." Also, the bowler hats worn by Jason and the choir were a nod to the famous hat worn by Jason’s father, John. Great reaction!
Ann and Nancy weren't part of putting Heart together. They joined the band later and made them MUCH more popular. There are no founding members left in Heart. It's just an interesting piece of trivia that lives in my memory. I love that even though they had nothing to do with the beginning, they took it and made it their own.

AND get a standing O from the legends. Robert Plant hates it when bands cover that song. He actually liked this rendition. I love the way this arrangement starts out simple with acoustic guitar and a soloist, and as it builds, it adds layer upon layer of instruments and voices. And I love Jason Bonham's drumming style. I think of his daddy teaching him how to play.
What a delightful reaction. And yeah, you nailed it. When John Bonham died, it ended the band. Just like the 1977 plane crash ended Lynyrd Skynyrd, bonzo's death ended Led Zeppelin. And that's his son and so of course, there's an incredible emotional connection going on there, and the song was huge before John Bonham died, it's just that it also has more less turned into kind of a tribute to him. He was one of the greatest drummers of all time. Just beyond stupendous. I got very emotional watching this even though I've seen it a few times before. And I can't believe you haven't done heart. That seems impossible to me. You haven't done Crazy On You, or Barracuda, or Magic Man? Wow. There is some good live footage of them doing those songs and another hit or two that I see people react to sometimes. But also the audio itself is so good. I know you will love them. Ann and Nancy Wilson are sisters. One sings and the other plays the guitar, although in reality, they're both pretty good at both. Those were just their roles in the band.
Except Lynyrd Skynyrd reformed as the Rossington Collins Band and then reformed with Ronnie’s brother, some members who survived as well as new members, and they toured till last year.
Anne Wilson is one of the greatest female vocalists ever. Can you imagine playing one of the most legendary songs ever, by one of the most legendary bands ever, in front of the surviving members of that legendary band, with the son of the deceased drummer of that band playing. No pressure. I've seen this video 1000 times, and I get emotional every time.
Not only is Ann one of the most beloved and respected vocalist of the era, Nancy is considered to be one of the top guitarists. You'll not regret going down the Heart rabbit hole.
@@brittreacts I do not know many people better at Led Zeppelin covers than Heart and Ann Wilson. Led Zeppelin was a regular treat in their concert lineups. I have seen you do some Heart reactions, But I feel you have missed one real important song and that is Alone by Heart, Ann Wilson at her best. Thanks for all you do
Ann Wilson has one of the most amazing voices in rock!!! She is very talented and powerful. You need to listen to more Heart to grasp her uniqueness. She and her sister, Nancy, were top of the charts over and over and over in the 70s and 80s
Heart performed the song exactly the way Jimmy Page envisioned it, the slow progression and building of layers to that climatic finale. You can see the awe on his face when that final chorus shows up. (points off for not knowing Ann and Nancy by name)
The studio version is considered one of the greatest songs ever recorded, as is the guitar solo. The song itself changed music composition forever and got so much radio airplay for so many years that it was eventually somewhat retired. So popular it’s known as the forbidden song to play in music stores.
I remember sitting in my living room when this originally aired on tv, and all I could do was hope that my friends were watching it also. I've seen this countless times since, and it still gives me goosebumps. And Ann was 62 and fighting the flu at the time of this tribute!
The drummer whose son is playing always wore that hat. It’s paying respects to him. He passed away prior to this tribute. Robert Plant, the lead singer and John Bono were great friends.
Jason was invited to sit with them in the stand, but "declined due to 'Other obligations'" Seeing their reaction to Heart performing this song is PRICELESS!
This is BY FAR my favourite version of this song... With another totally irreverent one I won't mention here 😁. That last "mega-chord" at the very end, with all the choir in full crescendo mode, ALWAYS gets me, and I just HAVE to cry. Don't ask me why. It's so beautiful... ❤ I believe that to perform THIS song in front of the legends that wrote it, and to get a standing ovation FROM THEM, one of which in tears, speaks volumes about the incredible quality of this rendition. It is in my car playlist since the first time I heard it, and it's one of the songs I go back to when I want to FEEL that thing along the spine. 🙂 Thanks for reacting to this beauty. See you next time.
Ann is the main vocalist of Heart and is without a doubt one of the greatest vocalist in all of music. Her sister Nancy is one of the best and under rated guitarists ever. I cant think of a better duo that could have pulled this cover off with such respect. John Paul Jones, Robert plant, and Jimmy page being there adds to the emotional weight of this performance. Rates up there with Queens Live Aid performance, not quite as high up up there. The bowler hat is one of John Bonhams signatures.
You really, really, really owe it to yourself to check out Heart if your not familiar with their music. ICONIC! And very few bands could have covered this Zep classic. Ann & Nancy did more than do it justice.
This performance always brings tears to my eyes. Knowing the power behind the performance, and that the Wilson sisters' biggest influence as musicians was Led Zeppelin, so they put everything they had into this performance for their heroes. I saw them in concert a couple years after this and they did an entire encore of Led Zeppelin songs and absolutely killed all of them! Ann has one of the absolute greatest voices in rock and roll. watching Robert Plant tear up gets me every time.
Just a brilliant performance - one of, if not the best, Kennedy tribute performances ever. It was so cool to see Yo Yo Ma, the brilliant classical cellist and 19-time Grammy winner, rocking out to Heart - love the appreciation that true artists have for other music genres.
Anne and Nancy Wilson are legendary rockers. If you really want to see them do an incredible job covering Zeppelin watch “The Battle of Evermore” from “Alive in Seattle”. They both play and BOTH sing. It’s one of the best covers of any song I’ve ever heard.
After Britt does some of their studio hits, she should do as much off of Live In Seattle as possible. I love test show and think it's their best recorded live concert. It's to Heart what PULSE is to Pink Floyd, IMO. Battle Of Evermore from that show is off the charts, as is Alone and Straight On.
Led Zeppelin are very protective of their music and who sings it. So when you get a rousing ovation from them as well as the President,1st lady and all in attendance you have definately achieved a lifetime accomplishment.
Jason does his own thing I saw his band live in Quebec City he’s pretty good he just joined heart to do the honor and I love this version glad you are seeing it!
This is more a tribute than a cover per se. When the choir kicked in and they were all wearing bowler hats that was in tribute to John Bonham as his son Jason had one on also.
Robert Plant (in the middle) has been known to be a cranky kind of guy. If you can get him to smile, while performing HIS song, you have done something extraordinary! Be well, be happy,
The emotion was very real. Heart toured briefly with Zeppelin during a summer Canada tour. Robert Plant hates this song being covered.... but complimented Heart for being the best he's ever heard. He was truly touched by the performance
Probably THE Greatest Female Rock group/duo, paying tribute to One of THE Greatest Rock groups of All Time! Performing one of THE GREATEST Songs of All Time! & ONE OF THE GREATEST TRIBUTES/COVERS of All time!!! - You CANNOT 'BUY' or 'Create' TALENT LIKE THAT!! JUST IMMENSE!!! ❤️🙏🎸😎🏴🇬🇧
Ann's vocals are a force of nature, and have been for fifty years. And her sister, Nancy, is a guitar virtuoso. Together, they can shatter MOUNTAINS. To see the tears in Robert's eyes, and the look of wonder on Jimmy's face....that just says it all. No reaction could have told Ann and Nancy that they'd crushed the performance quite as well.
Anne Wilson on vocals, her sister Nancy Wilson on acoustic guitar, They are HEART. Jason Bonham has played for Led Zeppelin as well as Jimmy Page during his solo career years post Zeppelin.
Heart performed this in December 2012. Now 72 Ann Wilson was 63 when at the time. Amazing vocals. Robert Plant said Heart's live version of 'Stairway to Heaven' was “magnificent”, “spectacular” and a real “we're not worthy moment.”
Man this always hits me hard. When you see Robert Plant tearing up, I imagine they all have to be reflecting on how they're in the twilight of their journey, wishing Bonham was there, and going back to their great times. Watching this performance is really a striking metaphor of the journey of life, and in this instance a job well done.
When John Bonham (the original drummer passed away the remaining band members decided they would not be able to replace him both talent and chemistry wise so they disbanded and this marked the official end of Led Zepplin, while 'unofficially' adopting his son, Jason. This performance was them being honoured at the Kennedy Centre in 2012. Jason told the band he would not be able to attend due to 'other commitments', which naturally upset them. The first they knew he would actually be there was when he was introduced at the beginning of the performance, hence the bands reaction and emotion, the emotion displayed by them throughout would have been a mixture of remembering their friend John, listening to an amazing version of the song that will go down as one of the greatest of all time and played how they intended, to be built up over time and with many layers, reminiscing and of course, Jason playing drums for his Dad. The significance of the bowler hat the choir wore was John's signature hat. :)
Ann was 62y young when she belted that out in 2012. Def splurge and head down the ❤ rabbit hole Britt. You were so engrossed in the ending Ann sang so you missed a special part of this video you must see, pls rewatch, I promise. LZ had no idea Jason was performing that night and were disappointed he was not able to attend, hence Robert jumping up out of his seat and pointed at him as Jason pointed his drum sticks back. Jason toured with Ann/Nancy for a time. These 2 love LZ and will often close their show with a LZ tune. The boller hat, Google John Bonham images, you will see. ❤❤
You would really enjoy diving into more of Heart (trust me in this). This was a fantastic rendition and an amazing tribute to Led Zeppelin. You caught the spirit of the performance and you provided a great reaction... Great Job Britt!
Stunning Tribute to a Legendary Band.❤ Interesting point of note, Heart toured Europe as support to Queen early in their career. The story goes that dear sweet Freddie Mercury was obsessed with lead vocalist Ann Wilson, following her around with stars in his eyes.
Hundred percent you should dive into Heart, but ALSO hundred percent, you should look at the live In Your Eyes with Peter Gabriel and his then relatively unknown backing vocalist Paula Cole, who then provided some 'soundtrack of our lives' material from Dawson's Creek and co headlining most dates of Lilith Faire.
The Black Bowler hat is in honor of John Bonham, Zeppelin’s drummer who passed away in 1980 He was known for wearing one. Jason, the one playing drums in this video is his son.
In reading about this concert it was noted that Ann was sick with the flu. She absolutely killed it. I also read that Heart was the only group that Led Zeppelin permitted to perform their songs. Britt, in case you haven't already done so please check out "Kashmir" Celebration Day version. Jason Bonham truly makes his dad proud. I think you'll enjoy seeing it. By the way, one reason Robert Plant showed such emotion is because he and John Bonham were best friends since childhood and the members of Led Zeppelin had no idea that Jason would be performing. Honoring John Bonham with the hats brought tears to my eyes. Simply beautiful. If you'd enjoy seeing what an amazing drummer John Bonham was you need to see the live version of "Moby Dick" I believe it is 17 minutes long and John even plays the drums with his hands!
Hi Britt the drummer is Jason Bonham the son of John Bonham who passed away. John always wore a bowler/ fedora when he played. So the entire choir wearing one was a beautiful tribute to John. And yes very emotional. I tear up every time I watch it. Incredible performance! Thank you young lady for sharing.
The band members, left to right, are bassist John Paul Jones, lead singer Robert Plant and lead guitarist Jimmy Page. Robert Plant wrote Stairway to Heaven. Can you imagine being a 4 piece band and hearing your song performed with a choir, orchestral instruments and a production this big? I think that’s the reason they, especially Robert Plant, are emotional during this amazing performance. As many others have mentioned in this thread a dive into Heart’s catalog will amaze you. Great reaction!
Every year, the Kennedy Center in Washington DC presents the annual Kennedy Center Honors event, to give awards to five artists in different fields. I imagine the band counted as one award. The multicolored ribbons are attached to a medal. This was designed by a New York graphics arts firm called Chermayeff & Geismar & Haviv. The different colors were to signify different fields of art, in this case music.
As I'm sure other people have already mentioned the drummer is Jason Bonham the son of John Bonham, whose passing marked the end of Led Zeppelin... He isn't the drummer for Heart, but the following year his band toured with Heart, and Heart's entire second set was all Led Zeppelin songs, with Jason on drums. It Rocked! 🤘😎🤙
First off, Ann's the brunette and Nancy's the blonde-people used to confuse them, so they made buttons with that phrase on them. They're from Bellevue, a suburb of Seattle. Heart was on tour when the Kennedy Honors were scheduled, so Ann and Nancy flew in from their tour stop to perform. As someone said, Ann had the flu. They were able to rehearse once before the concert. Ann and Nancy are admired and revered by the bands around here (Pearl Jam, Alice in Chains, Soundgarden, etc.). Nancy used to have those Seattle other band members over for "hootenanies" on her farm (in the '90's, when she and Ann still lived around here), when everyone would sit around and jam on acoustic guitars. Chris Cornell (of Soundgarden) spoke at their induction to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Ann sang backing vocals on the Alice In Chains song "Rooster". John Paul Jones (bassist for Led Zeppelin) produced and played bass on their acoustic album "The Road Home", which was recorded over 4 days at a Seattle club The Backstage. I was lucky enough to go to all 4 shows. Last, you need to listen to the full version of the tribute Ann and Nancy did-ua-cam.com/video/LFxOaDeJmXk/v-deo.html&ab_channel=DonJack
Can you imagine singing this iconic song in front of the band who made it a rock anthem...The drummer who is playing the drums in this set is filling in for his late father (Led Zeppelin's drummer). He passed in 1980. The woman is Ann Wilson, she and her sister Nancy were a big deal when they were one of the first female rock bands back in the day who sang hard rock and heavy metal....check out Heart- Barracuda or Alone. Her voice is phenomenal still.
Yes, Lenny Kravitz sang a tribute song to LED ZEPPELIN " A Whole Lotta Love". Others sang as well. Tributes are about 13 to 20 minutes depending on the artist. You can see the entire 20 minutes clips of the most artists, which I recommend you do. Tributes to Stevie Wonder Paul McCartney Aretha Franklin and many others.
Both do beautiful ladies and so talented and rock legends. Yes they have a very deep and close connection. Robert Plant is Jason’s godfather,he was only 13 when his mother and Robert told him about his father’s passing.
Yep there are tears in my eyes as I listen to this version 😢 believe it or not ❤️🔥 yeah, the guy in the middle is having a deeper reaction, iam terrible with names because of my dyslexia, but that is a great observation, what kinds of memories are they having about their song as they are being by this absolutely beautiful version of their song 🎵
When you can do the greatest band ever to exist justice with a cover… you are doing something amazing. The bowler hats they wear are a tribute to John Bonham, the member who passed, whose son drums on this, and who is known as the best drummer ever.
What we just witnessed is Rock Legends covering Rock Gods in the presence of said Rock Gods covering their most Rock Godliest song. And they absolutely rocked it. Arguably the greatest cover of all time. I actually love the arrangement they went with. It’s like they knew NOBODY could do the song justice doing it “simply”, so they went they opposite direction and brought in the strings, and horns, and backup singers, and choir. Everything about this was magical.
Jason Bohnam is the son of the original drummer led Zeppelin. He tours as the Jason boham experience. He has honored his father well! That is Nancy Wilson, her sister is the Guitarist Nancy Wilson The gentleman in the middle is Robert Plant, the one on the right is the guitarist Jimmy page and the one on the right is the bassist John Paul Jones.
Heart… Awesome, that is all. The gentlemen in the audience are the last three living members of Led Zeppelin. The drummer is the son of the late 4th member. This band (and these two sisters) rock, thanks for highlighting them, great talent. There are so many gifted women out there...
They introduced them as being "from" Heart, Ann & Nancy are the only 2 members of Heart on stage. The other musicians are usually artists that have a connection to the Honorees. Normally at some point during the show they will have introduced each.
If you want to see something really special, check out Led Zeppelin "Kashmir", Live at Celebration Day. It is the original band with Jason Bonham replacing his father John on the drums. No one could have done it more justice. There were 20 million requests for ticket, the most in history. As far as Heart, it is a deep rabbit hole to go down. Start with "Alone" as it really showcases Ann Wilson's amazing voice. Do the official video to see them in all their 80's glory. As usual, great reaction.
These sisters are as famous as the band that they are singing this tribute for. I was lucky enough to see them several times in their early years it was so raw and intense that by the end of the show you kinda felt like you had been run over by a truck. Thx Britt. P.S. you can do more Heart any time.
This song was such a hit when it came out. I remember it like yesterday. I was in Junior high. " Heart". Ann and Nancy Wilson are sisters. Ann lead singer and Nancy on guitar. They have a lot of hits. " Barracuda", "All I want to do is make love to you", "Crazy on You", "Magic man". And others! One of the greatest female voices of our time....
The drummer is Jason Bonham, son of original drummer John Bonham the drummer for LED ZEPPELIN. He stood at the end and honored them as well as his dad who passed away. The choir members and Jason Bonham were wearing bowler hats, which was a tribute to the band's late drummer John Bonham, that’s why you saw some tears from the original band members.
In the 80s, Heart was huge, but due to a medical condition, Ann started gaining weight. Their record label ended up dropping them because she couldn't get the weight off. The most incredible female singer of our time, and they dumped her because of weight. Makes me sick
Someone probably already said it, but the bowler hat is a tribute to John Bonham, who liked to dress like a droog from A Clockwork Orange. Bowler hat, white jumpsuit and jack boots. BTW, you're absolutely stunning! 😁
Hi Britt, It was so awesome watching your reaction to this. This cover of Stairway to Heaven is the best cover ever made! I don't know what had you cover this song, but about a month ago I had suggested it with a 2nd cover by Playing For Change which is a group of musicians from around the world playing music for change. They do an awesome cover of the song "The Weight". The cover features Robbie Robertson who wrote the song and also Ringo Starr playing drums. Here is the the link: ua-cam.com/video/ph1GU1qQ1zQ/v-deo.html
Check out the other tributes to Zepplin that night, Kid Rock, Lenny Kravitz, and Foo Fighters. The guitarist is Shane West, and was the band director for the Kennedy center .
The drummer is Jason Bonham the son of John Bonham the original guitarist of Led Zeppelin. The black bowler hat is a tribute to John Bonham who passed away and it's a tribute to him because he wore a black bowler.
An emotional tribute performance by an amazing gathering of musicians. The Wilson sisters are awesome performers, and I so love watching your reactions. You're a beautiful young lady and thoughtful in your commentary. Kudos to you and to Heart!
The best version of the song is the live performance. Heart, the incredible musicians and the people who put this together truly honored the band that made it iconic. 😊
Ann Wilson has one of the best rock voices that you have ever heard. You need to listen to some of their songs starting with their song "Baracuda". They are a staple in rock music. And the man that was introduced before her is the son of the original drummer of Led Zeppelin. Who always wore a furby hat and his son wore one as a tribute to his father. And he is not the drummer for the band Heart.
Sisters Ann and Nancy Wilson is such an important part of music history. They are the greatest female rockers for 50 years! A must discover rabbit hole!
The heart was formed in 1973. They are sisters and Ann Wilson is probably one of the best living female vocalists alive. Heart has had several top 40 hits in the charts over their careers. Legends performing to the legends.
There's a lot going on here, emotionally this hits hard for the guys from Zeppelin for several reasons. One obviously reason is that their "adoptive son" managed to keep it quiet that he would be there that evening and perform for them. (they literally consider him family) Another reason is maybe less obvious, the band isnt big on others covering their songs, especially Stairway because, i quote "they usually fu*k it up". This time tho, they knew that the ladies would not "fu*k up", they've been friends for decades and the sisters are heavily inspired by Zeppelin. (very evident in their early works) The band Heart, did and still does get (lovingly) labeled as "the female Led Zeppelin" because they are cut from the same wood as them, a deserved honor title i feel. And leave it to the entire assembly there of the best session musicians they have backing them, to make this the spectacle it is, the double choir is the icing on the cake, but the whole experience up till that point was already breath-taking enough, but that those choirs?... omg that was the ribbon wrapped around that beautiful present the ladies and band gave to the boys from Zeppelin. And a final though, the large choir all wearing the same bowler hat as Jason at the drums does, in honor of John Bonham who was famous for wearing them, is just one of the details that showed the love for the band and served as a silent honoring of John Bonham, just beautiful.
Heart is amazing! Start wherever you like, but be sure that one day you get to "Dog and Butterfly" live and "The Battle of Evermore", another Led Zeppelin cover!
Arguably the greatest tribute performance of all time.
I think this was Ann's personal best performance.

@@brittreacts The lead singer's name of Led Zeppelin is Robert Plant. As far as rock gods go, there is none higher. ;)
As I always say Goddess' paying tribute to the gods. Oh and Ann Wilson was 62 yrs old when she did this tribute. Just saying!😆
Thanks for all you do
I agree u must listen to heart
Ann Wilson has one of the most amazing voices in rock!!! She is very talented and powerful. You need to listen to more Heart to grasp her uniqueness. She and her sister, Nancy, were top of the charts over and over and over in the 70s and 80s
Heart performed the song exactly the way Jimmy Page envisioned it, the slow progression and building of layers to that climatic finale. You can see the awe on his face when that final chorus shows up. (points off for not knowing Ann and Nancy by name)
No matter how times I have heard this it still gives me chills
it is so good!
Tears as well. GREATEST COVER EVER!
....this is Rock Legends honoring Rock Gods...... Anne Wilson is really bringing it at age 62 at the time of the performance...
Not always.
John Bonham. Put some respect on his name...
I believe that it was Robert Plant's recommendations to bring in John Bonham as their drummer. Robert and John had performed together in the past.
He passed away a loooooong time before this.... 1980 I believe
...and also Robert is Jason's Godfather.
Jason was invited to sit with them in the stand, but "declined due to 'Other obligations'" Seeing their reaction to Heart performing this song is PRICELESS!
Imagine being the guitar player that had to play that solo in front of Jimmy Page himself.
Cant spell that guitar players name Inve Malmsteim? Legend in his own right.
@@mikecreger9702 Yngwie Malmsteen.
Indeed ! You know that Jimmy was listening to EVERY chord INTENTLY. So yeah........NO PRESSURE. LOL
Shane Fontayne!!!!! Oh my goodness..
How do you even begin to get yourself ready to perform THAT solo, in front of Jimmy Page...
I believe that to perform THIS song in front of the legends that wrote it, and to get a standing ovation FROM THEM, one of which in tears, speaks volumes about the incredible quality of this rendition. It is in my car playlist since the first time I heard it, and it's one of the songs I go back to when I want to FEEL that thing along the spine. 🙂
Thanks for reacting to this beauty.
This is the definitive cover of Stairway to Heaven.
Anne and Nancy Wilson are legendary rockers. If you really want to see them do an incredible job covering Zeppelin watch “The Battle of Evermore” from “Alive in Seattle”. They both play and BOTH sing. It’s one of the best covers of any song I’ve ever heard.
I love their version of Battle of Evermore
They also did a studio album of Led Zepp covers in the mid-90's. It was titled "BattIe of Evermore". I bought it and really enjoyed it.
The one performed at the Rock and Roll hall of fame is great too. I love Nancy's voice.
If anyone can sing this equally to the original its heart. This is the best
Be well, be happy,
This is the most played song in history. Heart was the biggest female hard rock band of the 70a and was inspired by led zeppelin.
Actually, You've lost that loving feeling owns the title of most played in history!
There is no other voice like Anne Wilson. Heart is iconic, I think you would love watching "Barracuda "
the bowler hat is in tribute to John Bonham a hat he would often wear.......
The emotion was very real. Heart toured briefly with Zeppelin during a summer Canada tour. Robert Plant hates this song being covered.... but complimented Heart for being the best he's ever heard. He was truly touched by the performance
If you're a music lover and this tribute performance doesnt give you chills you arent a true music lover ❤ Heart are one of my all time fav bands....
The three remaining members had no idea that Jason Bonham was going to be there.
Heart’s “Magic Man” would be a good song of theirs to start with imo. It was from their debut album back in 1975.
No reaction could have told Ann and Nancy that they'd crushed the performance quite as well.
she is insanely good!
Nancy and Annw Wilson are the founding members of the rock band HEART. They are an amazing and band.
what a sweet moment wearing that hat!
And playing on his dad’s drum kit! So emotional!
❤❤
PS, watch Lenny do his thing too... 😁
You would really enjoy diving into more of Heart (trust me in this). This was a fantastic rendition and an amazing tribute to Led Zeppelin. You caught the spirit of the performance and you provided a great reaction... Great Job Britt!
My fave song by Heart is "Alone"
Stunning Tribute to a Legendary Band.❤ Interesting point of note, Heart toured Europe as support to Queen early in their career. The story goes that dear sweet Freddie Mercury was obsessed with lead vocalist Ann Wilson, following her around with stars in his eyes.
Love this version, they truly honored the band and the song. May I suggest Peter Gabriel's "In Your Eyes" version from the The Secret World Tour!!!
Great reaction Britt! Heart sounds amazing singing this song. You'll have to listen to some of their music when they were in their prime.
It Rocked! 🤘😎🤙
Love this and have seen this so many times. Ann's voice is just amazing, not sure if you have reacted to any of Hearts songs but you should.
Heart's Nancy Wilson vocals are just as GREAT as sister Ann's on 'I Want Your World To Turn' from The Bridgade Album. It's Pure 🔥
Love Nancy, but her vocals don't come close to Ann's, not many do!!
Such an iconic performance to honor the G.O.A.Ts of Rock n Roll.
truly!
Heart is one of the greatest bands. Their song Alone is still one of my favs. There is nothing like a good rock power ballad.
The Drummer is the original drummers son 😊
Heart… Awesome, that is all. The gentlemen in the audience are the last three living members of Led Zeppelin. The drummer is the son of the late 4th member. This band (and these two sisters) rock, thanks for highlighting them, great talent. There are so many gifted women out there...
I've always loved her amazing voice.❤
she is so good!
Don't forget, Alone!!!
You have to learn when to pause a song like this, girl. Talk less, feel more.
This always makes me emotional. Ann Wilson did an amazing cover of the greatest rock song.
Drummer is son of original Zep drummer, who sadly passed .. hence the nod to the above.
The drummer is Jason Bonham the son of John Bonham the original guitarist of Led Zeppelin. The black bowler hat is a tribute to John Bonham who passed away and it's a tribute to him because he wore a black bowler.
Ann Wilson is the singer and Nancy Wilson is playing the acoustic guitar😊
An emotional tribute performance by an amazing gathering of musicians. The Wilson sisters are awesome performers, and I so love watching your reactions. You're a beautiful young lady and thoughtful in your commentary. Kudos to you and to Heart!
What an honor that would be to have led Zeppelin give you a standing ovation
The hats are bowlers. Original drummer, John Bonham (Bonzo) wore a bowler occasionally. It was a tribute to him.
(they literally consider him family)
Another reason is maybe less obvious, the band isnt big on others covering their songs, especially Stairway because, i quote "they usually fu*k it up".
This time tho, they knew that the ladies would not "fu*k up", they've been friends for decades and the sisters are heavily inspired by Zeppelin. (very evident in their early works)
The band Heart, did and still does get (lovingly) labeled as "the female Led Zeppelin" because they are cut from the same wood as them, a deserved honor title i feel.
I will keep those in mind, thanks!
The hat is for the deceased drummer, his son the drummer playing here is wearing his father's hat.
I'm crying 😢 it's such a beautiful cover. ❤
it is so good!
The bowler hats that they're all wearing was a signature thing John Bonham was notorious for wearing. It was a way of paying respect to him.
this cover let led zeppelin feel like we all did the first time we heard it
